Awesome place! My boyfriend is a regular here and knows most of the people pretty well. They are all very nice and fun to be around. They have a special for 5 rolls and an appetizer for $35 so we did that. The sushi was great and tasted super fresh. He makes the rolls right in front of you at the bar. They are like little edible works of art. He takes requests too so on our spicy tuna he added jalapeno. Everyone who was there was also so nice. We made conversation with everyone at the bar and met some great new people. I definitely recommend coming here!!

First time coming here. Apparently on first and 3rd Thursdays 6-8, there's trivia night. It's free. Winners get a certificate towards next dinner. Fun. Daughter and I ordered the rainbow roll, TNT and Salmon roll. Hubby had the buffet. Daughter and hubby ad soda and I had hot tea, which was green tea. The rolls were very pretty and timely made. The ginger cuts could have been cut smaller so it wouldn't over power the each bite, but I'm not detecting for that. We will come back. I'll take pics next time. Just wish the trivia nights were on a Friday instead on a school night. read more

We travel the US full time now and there is no sushi that holds a candle to Leo's. Knowing Leo is great. The service is wonderful. Sitting at the bar to eat is enjoyable. Leo's has fine sushi! But what it really has is character. What do I mean by that? Well take a Asian kid that is living the American dream....and you have a person of character. Leo is also a chatty character! He is a small business man that never met a stranger! He knows your name when you visit the second time and remembers your prior order. He will make a dish just to your liking or will suggest something good. His staff behind the bar are all pleasant and helpful. I have eaten sushi from NY to Alaska with a few other places in between that will go unmentioned. Few compare to this little piece of pecetarian heaven. read more

This place is truly a hidden gem. Don't let the old sign and location fool you. Inside is very nice and the food is delicious. Leo and his brother Evan work together to create some really good sushi rolls. One side is the buffet and other side is a cool sushi bar with tables. Our server was great and very attentive. Not great, not even good! There was way too much poorly seasoned rice, the fish wasn't very fresh, and the soy sauce had a really funky flavor. Based on the reviews I expected much better quality and I am sad that I wasted my money here. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

One of the best hidden gems in Palatka, Florida. Nestled within Palatka Buffet is a fabulous sushi bar called Leo's Fine Sushi. Not only is it inexpensive, but it's incredibly delicious! Best of all, it's one of those places where after a visit or two, everyone knows your name and you end up with that warm, fuzzy, homey-feeling. They have all-you-can-eat sushi parties once a month that are NOT to be missed! If there's a roll you've missed out on trying, this gives you that opportunity! This is a hidden gem! Leo is the best .....rolls were very tasty and on the lighter side - he made us a "golden slipper" Inari with rice and imitation crab that was just deliciously special. Leo's is located inside Palatoka Buffet. The son of a family who started the Asian style restaurant, Leo, began making sushi on the side. Leo is one of the kindest people I have had the pleasure of running across. He is genuine in his demeanor and his cooking. This means he uses the best ingredients and makes his sushi to be the best. I love sushi, and when you live in a small town you don't have very many options...if any at all. So, a few years ago when Leo's opened up, I was ecstatic. His sushi is fresh, decently priced, delicious, and beautifully presented. He has created some delicious one of a kind rolls that you can only find at his place. You feel like a friend when you walk through the door, because he greets you by name (whether it's been 2 weeks or 2 months). Don't be discouraged by the hole in the wall appearance! My family got hibachi shrimp that came with lots of broccoli and fried rice. They had leftovers as well. Simple interior and very warm service. We were well taken care of. Great little place for dinner.

Our server was on point as usual, took our drink order which was Cabernet Sauvignon wine for both of us. When he brought our drinks we ordered our food which was Bang Bang Shrimp, Chefs roll of choice, Manhattan roll and Mexican roll. The outdoor dining was great with the sun shining. We received the Bang Bang Shrimp first, which was big and delicious (still not sure how they are able to prepare as a circle). The rolls were brought out in a unique dragon platter. I don't know what the Chef's Choice was but it was absolutely delicious, it had avocado and cream cheese but not sure if tuna or salmon with masago on top. The Manhattan and Mexican rolls were just as fresh and delicious!

Our hopes instantly died once we reached the 20 minute mark and no one came for our orders or anything. We nearly walked out. It's a sushi and Thai place so I ordered Thai food, the Thai basil to be exact. Once it finally came out 40 minutes later, it was a dish with a heavy tomato based sauce and no Thai basil but regular basil. It was a huge disappointment. I also paid 3$+ to add chicken to the dish and only had 1 sliver of chicken in the entire dish. Extremely disappointing, the dish wasn't even Thai basil aka pad krapow, it was gross. I tried to get the attention of waiters/waitresses so we could get the checks and leave. But I was ignored several times by multiple people. Will not be back.

It is located in the China Buffet. Never had the buffet food, but looks good. When it come to the sushi bar though, very clean, and the sushi chef is very nice and good at what he does. Reasonable price, nice set up so far and wicked tasty. Ordered quite a bit of the different sushi on the menu and none of it was disappointing. Even ordered one of the deep fried rolls which I normally don't like but it was excellent. The batter wasn't too thick and had a perfect crunch. I can't rave enough about it. I'm a sushi lover and very picky when it comes down to it and I was dually impressed! read more

Was looking up the phone number for Leo's and realized that I should leave a review. Leo's Sushi (and Sashimi, my preference) is right up there with any sushi restaurants I have been to around the globe. Leo always seems to be able to source good fish and has a nack for creating custom sushi rolls with customers. The one added benefit of the Sushi at Leo's is Leo and his staff. Leo is a great young man that has earned, and rightfully so, a great local following of customers and fans of his food and creations. Make sure to try different rolls when you go there. read more

Delicious sushi made by a very friendly, passionate and hardworking chef. We'll definitely be stopping by more frequently. Leo made our lunch quickly but with great care while we chatted with him. Sashimi slices were very fresh and flavorful, loved his interesting take on the salmon don. It's so great to finally have a "go to" sushi restaurant in Palatka! Usually just leave a review with google or facebook, but decided to create a yelp account just because we had such a nice experience. read more

This is some excellent sushi! Leo is a wonderful guy. He was very polite and personable. When someone puts the words Palatka and sushi together most people might think "yuck" or "that sounds like food poisoning" but I'm here to tell you Leo's Fine Sushi rivals even that of Yamatoes or Thai Hanna's. And the price is right too! Combined with the service, price AND quality, it can't be beat. Give it a try! read more

Not only is the sushi absolutely first rate, but the prices are great, the service is fantastic, and Leo and Evan (owners + rollers) are the best entertainment you will ever find at a sushi bar. Sushi not your thing? The extensive Chinese buffet will satisfy just about any dining appetite. You've just got to try this gem of a restaurant in the center of off-the-track Palatka! read more

This young man can make some incredible sushi. If it's not in the menu, tell him what you want and he will make it. He is tucked in a standard Chinese buffet type place that isn't very appealing from the exterior but you will NOT be disappointed if you order sushi. Every third Friday the downtown hosts a food truck rally and he works out of one. If you like sushi, hunt him down! read more

I tried the poke bowl. It's was my first ever poke bowl and did not disappoint. Sitting at the sushi bar for an early lunch, Leo and Dylan were fun to talk with and we're super knowledgeable about the food they prepared. Leo's is in the back of the Chinese Buffet. Don't miss it. I am a huge fan of sushi. I have been all over the country and had various sushi in various places. Leo's Fine sushi makes some of the better sushi I've had. I would rate it 4 of 5 stars but was impressed to rate it a 5 because the service was outstanding. Price was acceptable and well worth what I had. read more
