The last few times Ive been there's been something wrong. The most recent visit was an alarm for take out orders. It went off 5-8 times during the one hour dinner. When I was asked if we had enjoyed everything, we mentioned we were pretty disappointed by the constant alarm. They justified it was neccesary. We wont be back, no apologies were made. Sometimes they let it beep for at least a solid minute-3 mins. They are oblivious to the beeping! Like people who let their smoke detector serenade them! It was definitely not a good date night vibe. For what they spent on beautiful modern decor it should not prioritize take out over the diners experience. We visited this location on Mother's Day. I know what you're thinking but the restaurant was actually completely empty, not a single patron. We ordered 3 rolls total and were told 15 minutes. Another customer walked in shortly after who had placed an order online or by phone and was told that her order had been forgotten, and they apologized. She left to go wait outside. Over 30 minutes goes by and it's getting increasingly irritating waiting in an empty restaurant for our order. We go to ask about the status of our order and the employee who was sitting on his phone jumps up to realize our order had been ready on the counter and waiting. Now I would totally understand if the restaurant was full or if customers were placing orders left and right but we were the first customers in the building, it was so empty and the employee was just chillin on their phone. Let me also say that while it has a decent price point, it is also not an inexpensive meal. The filet mignon and lobster meal was about thirty dollars. I will also say that it was a good meal and these are certainly not inexpensive ingredients. The service was friendly and professional. All in all, I would definitely recommend this location of Sushi 99. While not as fancy as some of the other Japanese restaurants, Sushi 99 is still a solid option if you are seeking a good meal. I usually order pan fried but since I didn't have that option I ordered fried...my mistake. Way too fried, I didn't like. Also ordered rainbow roll and spicy salmon roll for my husband. He said rainbow roll was good but don't order salmon roll again, he didn't like and definitely not spicy.
