I was very fortunate to discover this cool ice cream truck at an event. The very sweet young lady (I didn't get her name unfortunately) was so cheerful and friendly! They have all kinds of ice cream bars, sandwiches, popsicles and snow cones for all ages ranging from $3- $4 which is a great price. The variety was great and I can't imagine anyone not loving it. I chose the Blue Bunny chips galore ice cream sandwich. I was busy eating it and forgot to take a picture of it but man it was yummy and perfect for a hot day. First of all, it's the cutest little bus you've ever seen! It is locally owned and operated and has a beautiful family story behind it. Amanda, the owner, was wonderful to work with from start to finish. Friendly, professional, detail oriented, etc... she followed up when she said she would and her payment process via credit card was seem less and easy. Amanda also customized the chalkboard to reflect the birthday girl, offered to play music, had a trash can outside for us, and more... we found prices to be fair as well. Not only does the bus offer a variety of treats for kids and adults, but they also have frosty paws for any pups that may deserve a treat at your party too. It was one of our first times getting out and socializing since the quarantine started. I'm typically not a huge fan of shaved ice or snow cones, don't get me wrong, I like them, just wouldn't make a trip specifically to get one. But, this little shaved ice truck is fantastic! The two people inside were wearing masks and gloves and were incredibly friendly and helpful. The small truck was very clean and cool and well done. They have a million different flavor combinations and were happy to share their favorites and recommendations. Turns out, all of their syrups and flavors are homemade, you could definitely taste that! We got eight different iced, flavors and flavor combinations and everybody loved them. We sat in the shade of some tall trees in our camping chairs in the grass. Temperature was 90°, but somehow it felt like 75°, it was beautiful and the cool ice treats probably helped with that. The ice is very light and melts quickly in your mouth leaving just the fantastic flavors. You don't feel like you've eaten a bunch of sugar and you're not full, just refreshed. I definitely recommend Phoenix Phreeze. Even making it a regular thing, a tradition, trying different flavors and combinations. It feels like a family owned, caring, comfortable, "homey" experience. They carry the essentials, hotdogs, chips, candy, sodas as well as other items like nachos. The one thing that always brought me to this stand was the shaved ice and all of the flavors to go along with it. Definition of shaved ice is exactly what I had in mind. The price is great and they pack the ice night and tight in one of 3 size cups. I like that they add the flavor so it's just the perfect amount and not leaving it too sugary sweet with the syrup coming through the bottom of the cup. My husband and I knew back then we'd found something special and followed them around the valley ever since. The brownies are simple, classic and delicious. I love that you can freeze them up to six months and they still taste great. My favorite flavors are the mint and the toffee. I recently attended their annual Open House in March. Fairytale partners with the nonprofit KABOOM to build playgrounds for underserved communities. They have raised so much money for KABOOM and if you come to their Open House you can help support this. They have a raffle and silent auction. They sell $1 imperfect treats and discounted brownie edges. They give away free samples and it's a festive and fun atmosphere. Fairytale is one of my go-to gifts when a friend is sick or needs a cheering up gift. My sons love to get a box in the mail for a holiday surprise. I highly recommend this local business.
