Had a service call on 11/14/23 for a noisy door. Technician came, took about 15 minutes for the visit, said nothing to do except buy a new door opener. The visit cost $153 for nothing but a spray of lubricant on a safety spring. I googled "noisy Genie Screw drive door opener" and it said to lube the screw. Watched a video and then it cost me $10 on amazon for the lube and took less than 5 minutes. Simple fix!!!! Leo's is a rip off! Owners ignored my calls for 2 weeks when finally a secretary called me back and said they don't lube nuts and bolts and screws. Basically told me to pound salt. Stay away!!! read more

I don't like giving bad reviews but wanted to share my notsogood experience. My garage door needed to have the weather stripping on the bottom replaced. First no-show was due to the tech having an accident.. totally understandable...2nd no-show was due to a commercial customer (ok, guess my time wasn't so important).. when the tech arrived, he stated in 40 years he never seen such a problem. He recommended the garage door be replaced. He took measurements & told me the owner would contact me with an estimate. Didn't hear back until an invoice arrived 2 months later for $100. Called back to dispute charge. If they pursue, will lower this rating. Ps. Koop overhead doors charged a reasonable amount for replacement & were professional in every way. read more

I had a broken door spring, I called around 8am and a lady told me that a tech would contact me with an ETA . the tech named Joe called and stopped about 2 hours later, competed the work prom and professionally in about an hour and gave me some tips on maintaining my equipment. Very good experience and would definitely recommend them read more

They jerk you around ,owner is not a good bussines person ,this company told me they be here in three days ,then call me when day of service said they are not doing any garage door repairs .said they had problem getting paid from my company....what is NOT true .I Would never again recommend them for any job...the father who owes bussines before ,now the spoiled son is in charged .good luck if you deside to use them read more

I had this company install my new garage door and opener and have nothing but positive things to say. Service was great, came to house quoted me a price and gave a time frame as to when the door would be delivered. They were precise and was professionally installed. They even gave me an extra opener. A few months later, I had a minor issue with door getting stuck only because my garage is an old wood structure, which may shift due to weather or infrastructure movement beyond their control, I simply called the owner who came out the next day to make an adjustment to door. Problem fixed and no other issues since. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing a new garage door!!! read more

I would never deal with this company again. My garage door broke and I wasn't sure whether it can be fixed or needs to be replaced. They told me that I must pay a service fee regardless, but if I need a door replacement they will credit to me $150 service call. Technician came out, and of course my door couldn't be fixed and had to be replaced. The owner of the company first offered to me the whole 80$ off from 2100$ project, and then would refuse to credit $150 service call, which was paid for nothing, very unpleasant person to communicate on the phone. "MONKEY business" And I used this company couple of times prior for small services, so you can see what kind of customer appreciation the owner of this company provides... read more

8/5/2014 I hired Leo's Overhead Doors to repair a door they installed three years ago. The spring on the door broke and frankly, it is used twice a day and I thought they should last longer, however I am ok with having to replace the item. I was, however, shocked how high the bill was when I saw it and realized that the labor was charged for longer than he was at my house. I called the company to inquire about the discrepancy and was told that they start charging labor the minute he leaves to go on the call. I told her I thought that it was absurd and I would have rather paid the .565 going rate for mileage than $90 per hour for him drive to my home! I pay a labor rate for a specialized service. I don't consider it a specialty to drive a pickup truck. I can't speak on how the job was since it was just done today, and the technician was friendly and knowledgeable enough but I have to give a 2 rating because I feel that this practice is outrageous. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! THEY WILL DO WORK WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION! Our motor would run but wouldn't lift the door. We called Leo's to come out and take a look at it. Instead, HE TOOK THE LIBERTY OF REPLACING THE ENTIRE MOTOR WITHOUT TELLING US! Now, I'm not upset the motor was shot, it was old. What I don't like is that they did a total replacement of our system without first telling us that's what they were doing. Any ethical business would have come to us BEFORE doing any work, "this is what's wrong, we need to replace the motor, it's going to cost X amount." Mark simply came up to our door when he was done and presented us with a $600 (non-itemized) bill. What's more, they installed a fancy wifi enabled model (which we neither want nor need) that costs much more than other models. Of course, had we been allowed to choose a different model we may have been obligated to use another company to install it (if we had chosen a Sears Craftsman, for example). That's their scam, they just install equipment without your knowledge so you don't have the opportunity to shop around and they get to charge you for work you didn't ask for. read more

NO NEVER AGAIN. I called Leo's Overhead Doors and a young guy came out to replace a garage door opener. He took the old one down, put the new one up using the same holes, which were only hanging from sheetrock. A friend of mine was there when he saw it beginning to loosen. They guy took the opener down just in time to catch it from dropping to the ground. He should have known the screws did not catch any wood beams, common sense when you look at the poor workmanship of how the garage was built and never maintained properly before. The price was over $600. which I was not aware of until after he installed it. My fault for not pricing these. Also they never mentioned anything about the brand they would install or the difference of the chain versus the quieter type. They don't question customer satisfaction, no follow-ups. I had a problem with the chains stopping incorrectly, so I called Empire Overhead Doors, they came within 2-3 business days, very reasonably pricers, fixed it immediately, very polite and very knowledgeable. I will only call Empire from now on. read more

Leo's disappointed us. We purchased a set of garage doors that, after installation, were not the color we were looking for. Leo's refused to take them back or even negotiate it. We were out $1,300. Obstinate and stubborn. We will not be using Leo's again, and you shouldn't either. God forbid you make an ordering mistake and be stuck with two garage doors you can't get rid of. read more
