We were new homeowners and had only moved in for less than a month when our AC unit went out. It…read morewas an ancient unit that certainly needed replacement, but when we called The Right Choice, they arrived with the pushiest, sleaziest salesman you could imagine. He immediately insisted (more like demanded) that we needed new ducts as well as a new system. When I told him that we wanted a unit with a higher SEER rating for energy efficiency and lower electric bills, he dismissed my suggestion as if I was stupid for even asking about it. My guess is that they have some sort of deal with Goodman, because that is the brand that they forced on us. What was the grand total you ask? Over $20,000. And that was 8 years ago! Not only did they NOT replace all of the ducts (like they said they would) their installation was the most Mickey Mouse-looking trash I have ever seen. They must have put at least 5 pounds of mastic tape around the unit to try and seal it up and it still leaked cold air after a week of use. These are scam artists masquerading as professionals. Even after that ordeal was over, they would call us constantly, year after year, telling us we needed to pay for a tech to come out and service our system. Besides hosing off our compressor unit with our own garden hose, the only thing their tech ever did was aggressively try to sell us on more services. They never once opened up the unit to clean the coils. They never once topped off the coolant. They never even cleaned out the condensate pipe. 8 years later and I am paying the price with outrageous cooling bills, a leaky unit that is more mastic than air conditioner, and a clogged condensate line that I had to clean out myself (it took about 5 minutes once I had the right tool). Do not let these people into your home. There is a reason that you see so many one-star reviews among the four and five-star ones. Do not disregard those reviews (they are real people). This company will take advantage of anybody who is not particularly knowledgeable about HVAC. They are pushy and rude; they will try to sell you products and services that you do not need. They will continue to harass you with phone calls for years afterwards. Stay away. Stay far, far away.

STAY A WAY FROM THIS GUYS!…read more after they came 0n 06/30/2020 and installed my unit with out permit and several code violation and all headache if you read my previous reviews recently they filed a lawsuit with small claim court and telling court that I didn't pay them while I paid them In full after but when I notice their Job was faulty with several code violations and without pulling permit and after suffering in heat I disputed the payments and I was successful in getting $3000 back from my $5000 and they lied to the court and I filed counter suit to get my $5000 back because of their faulty job and not coming back to fix the issue after I filed a complaint with their bond and licensing, I told them if the Tech is coming alone is ok but if he wants to come with another guy they have to have a workers comp insurance which they lied to state and filed exemption which mean they don't have employees which they lied , they cheated worker comp insurance , they cheated the licensing and they cheated me and they cheated IRS by not registering their employees that came to my house to install the AC unit , they cheated IRS to avoid payrolls tax for their employees while they had two employees and victor installed my unit ! one more thing, when my process server went to serve them with my counter lawsuit he notice that they have no office and they work from Apartment , cheater is always a cheater be careful ! after I filed a complaint with licensing they deleted all pictures from their face book that shows they have employees installing AC unit in some houses Roof , they put some pictures that shows they do only repairs, isn't this consider hiding the facts that they have employees but they don't want to obtain proper insurance to cover their employees if they got injured , Zulema think she is smart , putting her head in the sand and think people and licensing and bond company and court and customers are stupid ! Frank was here at 10:05 and found that on one condenser the capacitor was out and the other had a loose contactor. He had both parts in his van and replaced both.
