I've been going to another nail salon in the same area and felt like the people really didn't know what they were doing, and didn't really care. I decided to go to Le's because I wanted my nails to look better than they have in months. I went this morning and Theresa gave me a mani first, and then a pedi. I like that my fingers had time to dry while she did my toes. I'm the kind of person who ends up ruining their nails grabbing their keys or phone. So i was kind of nice to relax and let them sit. My nails turned out great. No streaks, no bubbling unlike the last place. I've been so happy about my nails all day that my friends have started teasing me. It really made my monday. :) read more

Meh. 1st time here. I called first to see if they were busy. The woman said No. When I got there, they were packed. I sat in the pedicure chair for 27 minutes. If I knew that, I would've went somewhere else. But I was already soaking and I did NOT wanna get up. Tom took care of me. In my opinion, he didnt push my cuticles down hard enough. He asked if I wanted them short. I said, not to short. My left foot is extremely shorter than than the right. And the message? Well, my 10 year old rubs harder than he did. I'm a server and I want pressure. Lots of pressure. There was NONE. The massage chair was better. He put a lukewarm tiny wash cloth over both of my feet for like 2 minutes. When he put the flip flops on me I was literally in shock that that was it. Super disappointed. Then he painted my nails and didnt ever go over the edge of my nail. After he applied the top coat he had to go back over it and now it looks thicker on the top. I'm not sure if it was his 1st time doing a pedicure or what but it was NOT worth $30!!!! And to top all this off, they had The View on If I would've known I had to listen politics while all this was going on. I would've brought my headphones. Lol. I dont wanna here about Trump and tweeting while I'm trying to relax But Anita do my eyebrows. She did great job! That was worth $8. When I went to pay, it was awkward. Because I asked for change for a $20. Anita gave it to me and then assumed the change ($20) was all for them, for a tip. Made me look like I was cheap when I told her in front of everyone in the salon. And No one even asked how everything was? Every other place I've been to asks. Nice place and they took two of us for no chip manis and pedis as walk-ins! The place is clean, well-ventilated (which is a must!), and well-lit. My nail tech was focused and did a fabulous job. my nails look horrible, they didn't properly prep my nails, and the polish was applied terribly. I spent $45. i got a full set, and regular polish. Would not recommend going here. I had asked for a design and they said they could do it, but once they put it on 2 of my nails I told them to stop because it didn't look nice (in a nice way of course). they said they would charge me $5 to take it off, which was not a problem. but I still payed so much for just a regular polish. but all in all the staff were very nice and respectful. read more

Worst Customer service Ever!!!!! Paid for a $45 service just to be rushed. The filing is different on both hands. Technicians insulting customers as they walk in, Whether or not these were there "regulars" doesn't make first time walk- ins comfortable, or interested in coming back. I'm not the one to usually review, however this salon couldn't go unnoticed. I normally get my nails done somewhere else but today I decided to go in originally for chrome (I found out through a fellow yelper). Once you walk in to your right they have stacks of all the designs they are able to do, and in the back they have an array of colors to choose from. Going through the stack I noticed they are able to do marble, ombré and many more! I changed my mind to marble because it fit more in my price range. As for pricing, it's like any other nail salon. It really depends on what you want. I paid $50 and I'm very happy with the outcome. I believe the lady who did my nails, was Annie. She was extremely nice, and is very talented. She really takes her time and is very precise with her work, and she's the only one who is able to create these various designs, so props to her! Very unhappy with outcome of nails. Don't waste your time or money. Asked for full set coffin shaped nails and nail tech did not know what she was doing. Nails were uneven and not coffin shaped. I was so unhappy I just asked for the nail tech to remove the acrylic nails and lost money. While I understand time spent working on nails needs to be compensated, i had to take the money and experience as a lost. A red flag should had been that the place was empty on a holiday when almost all shops were closed or either very busy. read more

Do NOT GO HERE! I came her a few times before but it wasn't until the last time that I really got upset when I got badly burned while getting my eyebrows waxed. The manager did them, immediately saw what he did (the wax was too hot and kept on too long) so he said "no charge" and rushed me out of the store before other customers could see. I went back when the burns and swelling got worse and he told me "just cover it with make up for a few weeks until it's gone this just happens sometimes". I am absolutely appalled and disgusted with this place and their lack of responsibly for that service and their negligence to make sure the wax is at the right temperature. read more

They didn't do the order right of how they are supposed to prep the nails before applying anything! Didn't push my cuticles back at all. Some of the sides of my fingers were cut from super harsh nail filing. The shape of the nails was uneven when I compared hands. It was very rushed even though there were no customers waiting. A friend of mine referred me to Le's as this is her go to place. After my experience I can confidently say this will NEVER be my go to place. The owner needs a serious attitude and customer service re-assessment. July 30th was my first visit. I selected an OPI infinity shine polish (a $10 up charge) and I appreciated being advised up front about the additional fee. During my pedi and mani my cuticles were cut down to the point of bleeding. They are completely peeling now. Painful! The next day my cuticles were peeling, looked as though I had never gotten them cleaned and my nail polish started chipping. I went this morning to get them re-done. My 2nd visit was the nail on the coffin for this place. I walked in at 9am and was greeted by Jenny. I shared with Jenny I was in 3 days prior and my polish was already chipping after paying extra for the polish. She asked who took care of me and when I identified him she had me sit in his chair and shared that he would take care of me. Painless. The gentleman asked which nails needed touch up and I shared they all did. I thought he would re-do them. No, he added a coat of color and layer of top coat. I might as well have just done no chip! I went under the dryer and my nails looked like crap! He went to service someone's pedicure so I asked Jenny (who had gotten on her cell with her headphones) and when she responded to me I was fuming! First, who answers a customer with "what" when they signal for your attention!?! I started sharing that my nails looked bad - she cut me off and said "come here". You tell your customer to come to you? You're two chairs over cutting paper towels into strips, having a ball on your cell while your employees are working and you can't go to the customer? I walk over, she looks at my nails and her only solution is to RUDELY say "well, go tell him to fix them" twice. WTH!?!?! The customer is supposed to go to the nail technician, interrupt them during their current appointment? He must have heard how loudly and rudely she was addressing me because he came scurrying toward me. She gave him a look of death. Poor guy! I mean I was upset because of the nails but having witnesses this atrocious demeanor on behalf of his boss I felt very bad for this guy. I wouldn't have had to go an be a "nuisance" to her if my nails were done properly in the first place. Things happen so I had to go a second time. Don't treat people like crap for crap jobs. I will NEVER visit this place again. This review shouldn't even get one star! read more

It's important to find a lady that you like. People change there really quickly. A bit of an attitiude from some of the people that work there but the quality of the work is good ( if you end up in the right hands) Salon is nice and clean, good location, most of the time no problem with parking. I have been going to this Le's Nail Salon for just over three years and have never had an issue with the services provided to me. I've been to a good amount of the salons in the area before finally being recommended here. Every time I have been here, my nails have turned out great no matter what technician I get. The services I have had range from acrylic/gel nails, no chip, pedicures and waxing. I make all of my appointments with Haley and she always takes her time and does an exceptional job. I feel as if all of the technicians take their time and pride in their work, so I would trust my nails with any of them. As for previous comments about changes in management and the salon being busy. For someone who has been going religiously every two weeks for three years, nothing has changed, business is the same as normal. Although in the last month the salon upgraded their pedicure chairs (which are amazing). Now, a busy salon is a good salon, I much rather wait at a salon then walk into a ghost town. From prior experiences elsewhere, every time I have gone to a salon that was not busy, I have been very dissatisfied with the results. If the salon being busy is the worst thing someone can say, I would say that's pretty damn good. The salon is always clean and the staff is always friendly. All of the technicians know who you are even if you are not their client and make you feel welcomed. They make each experience fun and entertaining. I like Le's Nail Salon because the salon is clean and the staff is friendly. Tom is my nail technician and continue to see him because of his quality work. He is very meticulous and takes pride in his work. The prices and service are great. Purchased a gift certificate for my wife that she misplaced when we moved. It was expired((2 years). By law in Illinois gift certificates issued after January 1, 2008 can't expire. They weren't very nice and could have cared less. Give your business to nicer people. The owner was nice enough to quote a Supreme Court ruling in her reply to my original review. I found this place when I moved into the Portage Park area and looked for places on this site. My sisters and I chose pedicure and no chip mani services and we were not disappointed. Now this is our place. I've even referred friends and co-workers looking for a clean spot where prices and work match. I've gone to Annie, Julie, and three other techs and all good. I did have two bad experiences with a 4th tech but when I went back for a repair two days later on the second round they took initiative to send me to someone else. I now live in Logan Square and after trying local spots I've made my way back to this gem. One thing I've learned from the techs is they've asked throughout the service if I'm satisfied and want the truth because they hope the tip matches their work and then some. They are friendly and once they recognize you they will know what colors and new trends you might like. P.S. They have signs that say tip is cash only but you can definitely ask them to add it on before they run the card. Super convenient! read more
