    Dinner with a view
    Diane S.

Otherworldly experience! The manager was so friendly he went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time! He took me back to the kitchen area and showed me how they prepared all the food...I was super impressed with the presentation and the views were insane I got some great photos that will last a lifetime and stay with me to the end of time!

Absolutely beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower and amazing restaurant with glass ceiling. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary dinner here and my most favorite place to be in Paris. Food, drinks, and dessert were delicious and worth it!!! You have access to rooftop bar and unlimited opportunities to get your perfect picture!

This is now our favorite roof top bar with a great view of the Eiffel Tower. Nice restaurant but we only had drinks and snacks outside in the bar area. Service was ok but didn't bring all the food we ordered.

Absolutely stunning views and fantastic food. Staff was kind in accommodating food restrictions and celebrated our special occasion with us.

The view was the best part of the dining experience at this restaurant. We came here as part of our group dinner for our mba class, the prefix menu left a lot to be desired. The food was awful - I mean inedible. Definitely not worth to command the prices our group paid. Service would be the only star earned by this restaurant. Would not recommend.

I made the reservation for celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary during Honeymoon trip (postponed twice since 2020 due to Covid) in the end of March 2022. The overall experience was excellent. 1-5 stars ranking on each experience. Staff: 5 stars They were kind and service was great. Environment and "the view" of Eiffel Tower: I would say definitely 100% 5 stars. I made the reservation for 7pm and we could enjoy the amazing views of blue hours and night. We could be so close to Eiffel Tower and the lighting golden covering and sparkles for 5 minutes every hour after 8pm was phenomenal. The rooftop terrace of this restaurant was the best location among all locations to see all this! No joke. We felt so exclusive to be there as guests. Food: 4 stars Prix menu for dinner per person is 110 euros but you have to order 2 so we decided to order few dishes. Entrees starter: Confit duck foie gras, Orange and kumquat: 48 euros Melt-in-the-mouth and not so greasy. We liked it. I forgot the other one's name. Viandes meat: Seared Francillin pork chop, Cabbage and charcuterie sauce: 44 euros It was ok. Pork was a little bit dry. Prepared tenderloin of beef from Normandy, Anna potatoes: 48 euros My husband ordered it and he commented that was also ok taste. Dessert: All about the chocolate: 19 euros The chocolate is made from its factories in Paris so we felt like it was a must try. Taste was good. The restaurant also surprised us by presenting 2 small dessert plates with candles on to congratulate our anniversary. That was so sweet! It's a very romantic restaurant that you would like to take your beloved one to go and enjoy the pleasant dinner and view. The staff was offering to take pictures for us (don't even bother to ask) I couldn't recommend it enough. It is worth the money. You cannot find a place to beat it's location, price and service. Side Note: 1. Please Do make the reservation. 2. The restaurant only operates for lunch and dinner. If you make the reservation for 7pm, just patiently wait outside the first floor. The staff will come down around 6:55pm to unlock the door and guide you to the restaurant. 3. The restaurant address: 27 Quai Branly, 75007 Paris, France (technically the entrance is located next to Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac. Not in the same building. 4. Wear proper attire.

Les Ombres, atop the Musée du quai Branly, offers stunning views of the Eiffel Tower. The menu is prix fixe with either a choice of 5, 6, or 8 courses. The food is good but nothing really stood out except for the chocolate dessert. The service was friendly but seemed rushed (once, they took our unfinished plate without asking if we were done). But the view at the terrace was truly breathtaking!

I absolutely loved every bit of my experience at Les Ombres. The service was impeccable, the view magnificent, and the food delicious. It's true that the real star of the show is the magical and wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower. There really isn't a bad seat in the whole place, but I will say I felt like I got the best view in the house. I had the Eiffel Tower right in front of me and got to see it all lit up and sparkle during my dinner. The service was outstanding and did not feel rushed at all. I enjoyed all my food pairing and thought the chef did a great job marrying different flavor combination. My only complaint has nothing to do with my dining experience but when I left the restaurant I have to walk through the garden to catch my Uber and the path was very dark and felt unsafe, especially for someone who was walking alone.

My friend and I dined here during our travels throughout France. It is worth the visit for the experience and photos, but please make sure you review your bill in detail before paying. Unfortunately, the evening ended with us getting charged for double the amount of drinks we had. When we brought this to the attention of our servers, they challenged us rather than owning their error. We left feeling taken advantage of and questioned how many others they have done this to. Buyer beware! 5 Stars for the view of the Eiffel Tower at night 4 Stars for the fun and creative tasting menu 1 Star for the bill "mishap"

Nothing beats the views that this place offers. Our table was located inside at the corner with the direct view of the Eiffel Tower. Our reservation was around 1:30pm right before they closed to prepare for dinner time and honestly was not too busy. The servers are very attentative and answered all of our questions regarding the menu. After reading the other reviews regarding the food, I would have to admit that our meals were delicious. We didn't complain and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Paris! The outside terrace for pictures is a also a plus!

Just go! The food is really good, but not amazing (tiny portions) but the service is stellar. Ultimately though, you're going for the view of the Eiffel Tower and the ambiance. We went on our last night in Paris and loved it! I'd say it's a must when visiting. It's very romantic, but would be fine for a group of friends.

Great food, drinks and ambiance plus the view of the Eiffel tower, staff are attentive they seem to have their own respective roles, a person so refill your water when its empty, a person to hand you a slice of bread, and a person to replace your utensil.

This is a nice, romantic restaurant with a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tour! It is so beautiful, especially at night when it lights up every hour. Menu prices are between 30 euro per main dish to about 150 euro for prix-fixe menus which include several glasses of wine/champagne. TIP: Make a reservation in advance! The earlier you make it, the higher priority you have for a table by the window! My favorite was the truffle ham dish which was very high quality, especially with the amount of actual truffles in the dish. Personally, I did not like the foie gras because it tasted very "cat food" ish to me, even though I've lived here for 6 months before, it's still something I haven't gotten fond of. The steak & veal were fine, but nothing amazing. The biggest selling point for us was the view! They allow you to leave your table to take pictures & the photos are well worth it! Service was fantastic, except that they did not want to take our 500 euro bill for our meal which was almost 400 euro. We ended up waiting an hour for them to get sufficient change for it which would have been ridiculous, but at least we got a lovely view while waiting. However, be aware, like most French restaurants, the service is good, but you won't be out of there in much less than 3 hours so plan accordingly!

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

There are two tables essentially in the kitchen (a true "Chef's Table" arrangement) and maybe 6 tables in the adjoining room. We were welcomed warmly. Deborah was the hostess and server. Chef Hugo is visible in the kitchen, working very hard to make everything just perfect. They brought bread immediately (my husband loved the sliced baguette--it was perfect and chewy as it should be, but not hard). We ordered a bottle of wine, a Macon Villages, which was perfect. I had the cucumber salad appetizer, which was so fresh. My husband ordered the ravioli appetizer--tiny little rectangles in a scrumptious sauce--a work of art. I ordered the fish and shrimp plate. The sauce was amazing and it was a huge portion of tender white fish. My husband had the lamb with frites. It was nicely seasoned & perfectly done. For dessert, my husband enjoyed a chocolate treat and I had refreshing raspberry sorbet. Deborah was so friendly and solicitous throughout the meal. I have never felt so well taken care of. (I have seen some comments from people who are unhappy that they can't just walk in. They don't appear to understand that there is only one seating. People arrive when they do and they linger. Empty tables seen from the street do not mean the place is not fully booked. Make a reservation well ahead of time. It is worth it!)

We were seated at a table facing the smaller street with IKEA City. Not much people-watching happened given shops were already closed in the evening and thus less people shopping on the streets. We ordered the croque monsieur and croque madame. The difference between the two is that the croque madame comes with a fried sunny side up egg. This was heavy but so yummy! The egg yolk makes a great sauce to soak up this cheesy and hammy toast. This came with a salad on the side which had a vinegar based dressing coated on it. The only thing is we had miscommunication with the waitress about drinks. We asked for water (l'eau) but they gave us distilled water in a bottle which costed us 8 euros. I learned it's important to learn to specifically ask for carafe d'eau (tap water in French) to get free water! Felt a bit bad that we were overcharged. Just gotta be careful with communicating next time. All in all, I enjoyed trying the amazing sandwich that is a croque madame. Wanted to give 4 stars for the food but the bottled water still irks me.
