Wonderful from start to finish. Expensive - yes, hard to book - yes, but we thought worth the splurge for a special Occassion. There is a bit of ceremony on arrival as you are checked in and wait for the special elevator which whisks you up to the restaurant. The views of Paris are spectacular and become even better as darkness falls and the city lights up. Our team of servers were great, the dining room is comfortable and we enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu. Of course, this style of dining is not for all, and our dinner stretched well over 3 hours, but we thought excellent. Drinks, wine, champagne all good. As others mention, that initial offering of Champagne is not on the house, but 40euro per glass. I don't know that it is worth detailing each of the dishes, but enough to say we enjoyed them all, perhaps some more than others. I'm not sure how frequently the menu changes. If you are considering this, and have something special to celebrate, then by all means bite the bullet and do it. read more

We skipped the champagne when we were seated, but I wonder what that would have cost?!?! We skipped the addition of Mature cheese with Truffle, even though the waiter was fairly aggressive in suggesting it?!?! Glad we skipped as I saw how large that was on the table next to us. He had a hard time finishing it. Fusion French food. The most positive way to describe this meal for me is interesting... Complimentary Bread and Butter - What a GREAT start, it took all the power in me to NOT eat the entire loaf. Baked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and so soft and fluffy on the inside. When I complimented this to the waiter, he told me it was from a local baker... Appertizers - See pictures. Lobster - Several layers of flavors and textures, but it is meant to eat a little of everything with each bite. Which actually was not easy to do as the spoon was large and the plate/bowl opening was small. I believe the bowl gets more narrow as it gets deeper. Asparagus - Asparagus with Asparagus sauce and a pancake filled with asparagus cream cheese. Langoustine - A ravioli of langoustine wrapped in a beetroot jelly, surrounded with foam. This was actually okay. Turbot - Did I forget to take a picture? Or did it not get uploaded? Anyway, a tiny piece of fish with caviar. I do see that one of my many videos did get uploaded. Poultry - Two pieces of chicken pressed with a slice of mushroom in the center. The second piece of ??? Raspberry - This was actually good; both my wife and I enjoyed it. Maybe because it had raspberry sorbet, ice cream, or gelato? Chocolate - Another good dessert. Overall the food was okay, but I expect more from a Michelin Star restaurant and so should you. Ambiance - It's the Eiffel Tower... Got a perfect table with beautiful views, see pictures. Thank you. I also appreciated the ability to walk outside after dinner to see the lights of the tower; again, see pictures. The lights are on at 10pm and every hour but for only 5 minutes. So you HAVE to time it accordingly. Service - Started off great! Then continued to go downhill?!?! At the end, my wife had to ask 3 different people for more hot water, and it came right before 10pm during the light show when we wanted to leave... It took almost 20 minutes to get more hot water?!?! There was a shell in my wife's lobster dish, so they complimented her to a 7 course dinner, a 35 Euro upgrade, thank you. And this was our first dish of the pre-fix meal which was not a good start for her. I wanted a 3rd glass of wine, but the sommelier never came back. Nor was it an option to get a dessert wine. Thanks for saving me a few $$. Price - 733 Euros, $850 US. Not worth it in my opinion... I wrote off this meal as paying for the location and views, not for the meal or service... I'm a big fan of rooftop bars and eating at the top of tall building for special occasions. I made a joke with my husband years ago that one day he would have to take me to eat in the Eiffel Tower since it seemed like the most extreme scenario for this type of dining. Somehow he remembered that. When we went to Paris together he booked us to eat here. Honestly not sure how we will ever top this. A dinner I will never forget! So special and romantic. My favorite thing about this restaurant is the service! The staff that works here are incredible, they really go over the top. For instance if you are dining with a party of 4, 5 servers will come out one carries the tray with all the food and the other 4 take the food off the trays and place them in front of you all at the same time! The synchronization was quite impressive. This is my first 2 star Michelin restaurant I have been to as well! Only one stars until Le Jules Verne. Every dish was great and they even brought us a special anniversary dessert which we barely had room for at the end of our meal. We also got access to the Eiffel Tower at night when it is closed to the public. Being able to be the only people on the second floor was super romantic! Being able to see Paris at night too was so beautiful. Such a different experience than going with the general crowds during its usual hours. Presentation was amazing, the staff that took me to the elevator was nice, the lady checking us in was on the phone for 5 minutes without acknowledging us, so started off with a bad impression to begin. Overall very delicious. For the most part, the menu is very seafood forward, highlighting langoustine and lobster with variations of citrus. Service was impeccable and the staff was easily and readily available for questions and help with taking photos. One fun little perk of dining here is that there is a private entrance to the restaurant as well as access to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel(no need to purchase a separate ticket). I think the only dish that could use some minor improvement is the lobster, because the first bite has too much olive oil when trying to break through the zephyr. Perhaps the greatest meal I've had. Truly such a special experience, with stunning views of the city. Service was stellar from the second valet greeted me, and stayed that way throughout my 2 ish hours dining. As a solo diner, really appreciated being seated in a corner (window!!!) seat. Began with a glass of champagne, then was served the first amuse bouche, a mini tarte, which was followed by bread and butter. Bread was unbelievably light and airy, yet the crust stayed perfectly crisp. Next up was wine service, followed by the second amuse bouche, a celery soup. The first real course was lobster, which was in the bottom of a deep bowl filled with a frothy cream. Lobster was as tender as you could hope - I think this may have been my personal fav. Scallops were a close second, topped with shaved dried caviar tableside, bathed in a Parmesan sauce. The lamb was next - a chop and super tender shoulder (?) that reminded me of pulled pork (I'm American, can you tell). Both were delicious, but the chop was fattier than I like - personal preference. Dessert was a chocolate soufflé. Again, much lighter than I was expecting. The dark chocolate crunch on top was the best part of it. Before leaving, was given two final bites - a kumquat tarte and one other that may have been my fav bite of the meal, so disappointed I don't remember what it was lol. The view was amazing, however it took us about 30 minutes to enter the restaurant, the staff was nice and understand about the delay. The food here is not for everybody! We definitely left hungry, the portions were very light, and the food is fusion of multiple flavors that are not so commonly mixed! There's nothing like jetting off to dine at Jules Verne for spring break! For starters we knew there wasn't going to be any children's menus so we braced for wallet impact and prepared our minds to resist asking to doggie bag the treasured left overs. The arrival and check in process was simple although I would have enjoyed a more secretive approach to the restaurant door - like Club 33 at Disneyland. However once inside the private elevator with a view puts the Club 33 lift to shame. Unique design to the dining room, I imagine At.mosphere at Burj to have a similar layout. Staff was on point, they held their professional faces for a prompt lunch service. The pleasant surprise was our fabulous waiter, he made the experience relatable to my boys. The youngest opted for steak and our waiter was most personable with my son- joking while even cutting his steak for him. He kept an eye on our pace of eating so he could come back and cut just enough slices to preserve the juiciness and flavors. I'm giving this experience 4 stars because the location is iconic, food was food and our waiter made it enjoyable. I'm not a caviar fan but I'm glad the boys enjoyed it. Each plated course followed a textbook version of Iron chef - it was nice to actually be in the seat as a recipient of these dishes. I'm not clamoring to go back to be honest as it was a superb once in a lifetime experience but it's a lot of food that you again, don't want to doggie bag it. Let's be honest though any food in France is literally on Michelin level compared to any restaurant t in the US. Of all the places I've dined in France, I remember Jules Verne because of the views and that wonderful waiter who personally cut my son's steak throughout service. For food, I remember the delectable bistro in Montmartre and an artisan Boulanger spot in Versailles. Le Jules Verne , was still a classy experience. Take your kids to the Eiffel Tower an if you can afford it, try Le Jules Verne. I think it's good to expose young kids (who are well behaved) what great food can be. We dined a few years ago at Le Meurice which is also a deuce on the Michelin star rating scale. I'll take you through our experience at the Verne. First of all it's a bit of an issue because the lines to go up the Eiffel tower are super long and we ended up two hours late for our dinner reservation. Fortunately they seated us anyway. They have an extensive tasting menu but we really just wanted some chicken nuggets and since we don't speak French it was definitely a thing to make that happen. Basically twenty minutes of back and forth before they came out with some nugs. They were ok but nothing to write home about and for $1k for a dinner for two it felt a little over priced for chicken nuggets honestly. Drinks were pretty good, I had a sprite and my wife had a glass of tap water. Again, nothing to write home about but they were fine. The dessert offering was very luxurious, but we politely declined because my wife saw this matcha place near the base of the tower where the line starts that she really wanted to try so we hit that up instead. Only problem was getting down the tower. We ended up using a system of ropes and pulleys that we fashioned from fishing line and a make-shift Swiss seat that we used to rappel down the side of the tower. All in all the experience was pretty good but I probably wouldn't recommend it unless you have a mountaineering certification and you're like really into chicken nuggets. read more

Incredible dinners at Le Jules Verne for our anniversary! If you wish to have an experience here, you will need to make a reservation well in advance as they have allot of demand for reservations. The Eiffel Tower has security so you will need to go to the south tower pillar and enter a private entrance for guests. From there, a private elevator will take you directly up to the second-floor restaurant. After you are there, the views are fantastic as you begins to enjoy your experience! Their are two menu options you can chose from including having a five or seven course meal on one of them. Your table will need to select the same menu option as service for the table is synchronized between everyone. You can expect your experience to take several hours so plan accordingly and enjoy. It was quite an experience that won't be soon forgotten. I booked 3 months in advance and was a few days late from the day reservations opened up online for booking. I was only 3 days late and Christmas dinner slots were already completely booked and I only had a handful of time slots to choose from for lunch. I ended up reserving Christmas day lunch at 1:30pm. The cost was $510 euros (approx $565 usd) to confirm a reservation for a party of 2. SERVICE: The service was great. Everyone we encountered were polite and professional. Most of the staff speaks both French and some English, but some only speak French. FOOD: The food was very good, well, everything except the main entree. They offered 2 options for lunch - a 5 course tasting menu or a 7 course tasting menu. I opted for the 5 course menu. Many wines options are also offered for an additional charge but we selected still water, sparkling water, and citrus sodas. We tried: 1. Crab: Flavored with Tarragon, Granny Smith Apple Zephyr (5 out of 5) 2. Scallop: Puffed Buckwheat Galette Dieppoise Sauce and Oscetra Caviar (3 out of 5) 3. Langoustine: Prepared as a Ravioli. The standouts for me were the scallop, langoustine and the cheese course. The scallop, strangely, kinda looked like a taco, but it was superb. The lobster was also out of this world. The only plates that didn't impress me were the crab and the chicken. The crab was quite fishy, and it was an odd combination what I seem to remember was Granny Smith apple foam. The chicken was actually very tasty, but I just expect more from a Michelin star tasting menu main course. It felt a bit like we were being cheated. The turbot was a toss up. I don't know what the flavors were, but I really liked them. That said, the flavor was very strong and I can see it being polarizing. If I could do it over, we would've skipped the wine pairing and ordered a nice bottle. They definitely didn't skimp on their pours, but, if you're like me and have a hard time not finishing a good glass of wine paired with a delicious bite, you might walk out a little tipsy...and you might not totally remember what you had for dessert. read more

While Le Jules Verne boasts a Michelin star, the food didn't quite meet my expectations for this caliber. The service was decent but falls short compared to other Michelin-starred establishments I've visited. If you're looking to enjoy a meal at the Eiffel Tower without the hassle of climbing stairs, this restaurant is a convenient option. However, beyond that, I wouldn't highly recommend it. In a nutshell, the view here is unbeatable, and the food is beatable. Because Jules Verne is at the very top of Eiffel Tower, there is a 360 degrees view of the city. Window tables require 90 day advanced reservation, but the view from any table is spectacular. To enter the restaurant, you can bypass the long tourist security line and take a special elevator that not only accesses the summit level of the restaurant, but also the first and second levels. If you are already planning to tour the tower, you can simply do this after lunch or dinner here. Although Jules Verne is a 1-star Michelin star restaurant, the food was not quite up to the standards of other 1-star Michelin star restaurants. Most dishes were good, but there were couple misses (1 star off). For example, the scallops was sliced thinly and molded into a gelee. Why did they do that? Scallop Jell-O had a weird texture. I would rather have a nicely seared whole scallop. Also, the cod I had was not seasoned. The description said it was "simply cooked" - maybe too simply cooked. Tied for the best meal I've ever had! What a very special Paris experience and something you must do if you have the time! It's such a treat and unforgettable. As you enter you're actually in a building that is built around the actual Tower and the elevator ride to the restaurant is pretty awesome with a spectacular view of all of Paris waiting at the top for you. The service is an experience in itself! The staff is so friendly and accommodating, making you feel extremely special. The food...out of this world! If you like light and frothy with cream and butter this is your place! The flavors are a symphony and every plate provides a new experience to the senses. My personal favorite was the onion frothy mousse with truffle and the turbot with leek and yuzu. read more

This has a great view. The area is pretty cramped. You have to make a reservation before hand, which is standard in Paris. But the weird part is you must pay when booking (for the entire meal), and then they expect you to pay an additional fee after the meal. I thought it was all closed out but I guess not! The food is in small portions, but the taste is odd. It's not bad! But definitely not what was described on the menu. It was good for the experience, but they may want to add more options to the menu. read more
