This is a really nice café to really just sit, enjoy some bakery and coffee while people watching in front of the louvre. We didn't have reservations in the morning, but we were able to grab a front seat. The waiter was nice and super accommodating as well. We ordered the croissant combo which came with a chocolate croissant. That was really good and very crispy. We enjoyed their coffee and my wife ordered an egg omelette and it was decent. Nothing special. Food was OK a bit expensive probably because it was inside of a tourist spot. I think we spent about $50 for just croissant, coffee and eggs which I thought was crazy. The four stars is mainly just for the view and the ambiance.

Romantic dim lighting atmosphere. Not a ton of food options. We did à la cart and got eggs, yogurt and an omelette. Eggs were not traditional American scrambled eggs. They were served in a bowl and oatmeal like consistency. The toast was great with butter and jam. Yogurt had granola, raspberries, blackberries and honey on it. Service was quick and location is great for visiting the louvre after.

Okay we're back and gave it another try. The hostess sat us right away with a view of the Louvre Pyramdi. We ordered an aperol spritz and cappuccino and they were perfect. Be aware some seating gets a lot of blinding sun on a sunny day so make them aware of your preference.

This is a MUST-go for lunch after a busy day at the Louvre. I was so excited I was able to get a reservation the day prior and was looking forward to it as I walked around the museum. The area is lovely and breathtaking. I asked if I could be seating with a view of the Louvre and got the perfect seat. They have a dairy alternative for a latte for those who are looking. I was so excited as someone who cannot have dairy. My waitress was very accommodating with my allergies and I got a delicious club sandwich, latte with dairy alternative, and a coke. I spent so long just relaxing, eating, and reading with a beautiful view. 10/10 would go again and suggest everyone do the same!

Location. Location ! We arrive to our timed ticket entry to the louvre early and decided to grab some lunch before heading in. Cafe Marley is conveniently located in front of the louvre and we were able to get seated immediately without reservations. You have the option of sitting upstairs in the beautiful long hallway or downstairs in their mini patio. Both have beautiful view of the louvre. The patio seating is a bit tight and small. The drinks were great. I did not love that our burgers weren't cooked all the way through. Also they don't serve French fries - only potato chips or mashed potatoes as sides. A great picture spot and place to grab a quick bite while in the louvre.

Food is good, price includes the view but is okay. However the waiter who is different from our waitress didn't give me options to pay by Euro which let me pay extra 4.99%.

A nice spot on the grounds of Le Louvre to grab lunch before our visit to the museum. Great view, nice food. The only blight was the waiter looking for an American style tip, trying to take advantage of tourists. Reservations recommended.

Very quaint cafe located near the louvre. Was great to sip on a cappuccino and have a croissant while we waited for the crowds to dissipate. Would go again and again!

Amazing location with views from the Patio of the Louvre is amazing!. Interior is classy looking as well. Service was great as well, I would have expected a little more French attitude but none detected. Only three stars as it is pricy. We only had an eclair for 18 euros and a bottle of still water 8 euros. The eclair was good but not 18 euro good!. Actually inside the Louvre there are so many nice alternatives, the only reason to eat here is before going in and for the view IMHO!

Nothing you can't get at a corner boulangerie, you pay for the view!

Extremely expensive cafe in Paris. The view and photo op opportunity is stunning and deserving of a mention however it is up to whoever is paying if you want to splurge in a $50 light breakfast that is not filling. The service was pretty much non-existent. The host walks you to your seat and the waiter takes your order, brings it and that's about it. Since I've already been once, that is enough for me because there are a ton of cafes all over Paris that are much better and cheaper. Again, if you can afford it, totally do it but be forewarned, it isn't amazing but the view? Fantastic.

Quick service, good view. May seem overpriced but salad and bread was included with meal

Views, views, views! Although I wasn't able to stay long and the weather was sucky, I enjoyed myself. The service was a bit slower than usual but they were kind and the food that I ordered was really good! I ordered the tartare de thon avocat, along with a cappuccino, chocolat. They also provided bread and butter. I really enjoyed the tartare and cappuccino! I wanted to try more items on the menu but again I was pressed for time. There's plenty of seating and I was able to find a spot outside that had a great view of the Louvre Museum. Perfect! I definitely can't wait to visit Paris again! There's so much to do and see! You must visit Le Cafe Marly too.

Their penne tastes like it came out of a primary school cafeteria. It's terrible. Their food is not good very unde seasoned. The view can sometimes be fine. But if you make reservations ahead of time they just stuff you in a corner. Do not waste your money here their food is awful and the place is over hyped because of location.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

My bestie from middle school and I shared the escargot (bless you) pasta, which was delicious, and the duck, which was exceptional. We split a very fairly priced bottle of wine and ended the night with the scoop of mousse. If they could figure out how to do that intravenously, that'd be great. The mousse reminded me of a great guilty pleasure, which is eating straight out of the can of Duncan Hines chocolate frosting (ask me how I know, I do this often, going to rebrand it to me being European). No real plans. Just walking. Cigarette smoke in the air, scooters passing narrow streets, old stone buildings glowing under soft afternoon light. Online, this place feels impossible to book. But show up 10-15 minutes before opening and suddenly you're seated like you knew the secret all along. Inside, the room hums. Tight tables. Warm walls. Loud enough to feel alive without becoming chaotic. Nobody rushing. Nobody flipping tables. Just the rhythm of Paris doing what it's always done. The menu is entirely in French which, honestly, makes the experience better. You stop ordering with certainty and start ordering with curiosity. My wife had the risotto d'épeautre aux St. Jacques. I ordered the Magret de Canard au Romarin. The duck was solid. A 3.5/5 kind of dish. Rich, savory, comforting after a long day walking through the city. But the risotto surprised me more. The scallops were delicate, the spelt added this earthy texture that made the dish feel substantial without ever becoming heavy. And then there's the mousse au chocolat. The famous one. Served from an oversized bowl with this almost excessive "all you can eat" energy that somehow still feels elegant instead of gimmicky. We only needed a few bites. Soft, luxurious, lightly bitter chocolate balanced perfectly against just enough sweetness. The kind of dessert that doesn't ask for attention. It quietly earns it.

Simple classic French cuisine. We shared the mini raviolis stuffed with mushroom and a foie gras sauce. Wow. And shared their famous beef bourguignon. The tender beef, the sauce! I love the way they plate it too. Delicious. And a bottle of Cabernet Franc from Bourgueil (Loire Valley). The second visit (3 star) was very different from the first visit. Less friendly, borderline rude, took a long while for table service even though it was not busy, rolled their eyes about us sharing and at our wine bottle selection. We didn't feel welcomed. Food remains good, but not outstanding. Roll of the dice on service. I'd say if you're in the area and you don't have to wait it'd be worthwhile, otherwise seek a less touristy spot.
