Great customer service. I ordered my studded tires with them, scheduled a time for the tires to be put on, and it took less than one hour. *Update* Joey, the manager of the store contacted me first thing this morning and apologized for this incident. He confirmed that as this incident was an error made by the store, the extra shipping charges would not be charged to me, and he has already taken the steps to have the tires Gold Streaked to the store with an ETA of Saturday. Mistakes happen, and when companies and staff stand up, own them, and address them, it should be both recognized and applauded. I ordered studded tires several weeks ago. When I was finally notified that the tires had arrived, I brought in my vehicle expecting a straightforward appointment. Instead, I was told that the wrong tires had been ordered. What made the situation worse was being told that reordering the correct tires would cost an additional $200 if I wanted them sooner than two weeks from now. Good customer service and quick to solve your problems. I had a screw in my tire and they had it patched up in 30 minutes.

They will get the job done although you may have a flat in a few days due to them not putting your tire on the rim properly but the good news is there's a warranty but it doesn't take care of your time or gas wasted in the process. I noticed a lot of these guys are green and every time our business has to call them to come out they never get a tire patched correctly the first time. read more

Juneau Alaska store is horrible. I ordered my rims and was told it would take a week and a half to get here. After two and a half weeks , I finally called to find out there were there and no one notified me. After getting them put on , I'm told my hub assembly needs to be replaced.and quoted me 400.00 So ...I take it to my shop and find out that it's just a ball joint. Fixed it for 40.00. Hubs seem fine. Obviously someone don't know what they are doing there. Very disappointed in this business read more

After continued failures at this shop on my move across country I stop at another les Schwab to attempt to get a slow leak fixed I mentioned that I took it in when I lived in alaska and the tech asked if it was in Juneau because their incompetent........ it turned to be a leaking valve stem 3 years and Juneau les Schwabs shade tree mechanic service and tiers has a reputation for being incompetent over 1,000 miles away by their own company members they seriously need to improve glad I'm not in Juneau needing service from this place any more read more

Thought maybe my experience was a fluke, I was wrong. There are literally 3 things to do with tires - rotate, balance, and inflate. This isn't rocket science. While the are smart enough to move one tire to another location, the fact tires need air and the occasional balancing confuses them. I have been to many Les Schwabs and this one shows the worst service of them all. The employees are rude and NEVER follow through on there promises. I have attempted to ordered tires through them twice. Once it took them a month to get there stuff together and finally forget them. Another time I had called and they were exteremly rude to me over the phone when I asked about ordering a tire. They stated they ordered them and when I called a week later they hadn't ordered them and acted like they didn't even know I had talked to them a week later. I will never go to them again! read more

Awesome place, you know how most of the time it can be hard to find a reliable repair service. Well this place is great and has great service. Unlike the pessimistic person who decided to write about this business, they must have been having a bad day when they wrote their review. Anyways I've been to a lot of places and anybody in Alaska knows that everything takes a long time to come in when anything gets ordered, it is common for anything to take 3 weeks to a month to come in mostly due to Alaska's weather. read more

No such thing as free tire rotation... I recently bought a set of tires from Les Schwab. I also own a set of snow tires mounted on wheels. Stopping in to make the switch to snow tires, I was told that they do not take reservations, they are unwilling to call about availability, and the wait for service may be up to 5 days. read more

For the last two years I've had to have my tires changed out twice a year and it's been a painless process. I brought my car in because one of my tires kept loosing air. The staff was extremely friendly and pulled my car in to take a look right away. Come to find out I had a small nail in my tire. They patched it up quickly and when I took out my wallet, they said it was FREE! What a great way to start the day. Thank you to the employees who worked today! read more

Took a single wheel and tire in to get a leak repaired. Dropped it off. They called within 2 hours and said it was ready. The technician explained that the valve stem was leaking so he replaced it. When I asked how much it cost, to my surprise, they said the fix was complimentary, no charge. Everyone I dealt with was both professional and courteous. I'll definitely take any more of my tire work to them. read more

I just got off of the phone with my wife, who was in tears! She bought a used vehicle this summer, which just had new tires put on from Les Schwab here in Juneau. Since she bought the car, the front left tire has been very slowly leaking. I advised her to go to Les Schwab to see if the tires are a.) under warranty and b.) if it is a bad inflation stem. When she took the her car in, the guy at the counter said that they could get her car right in. When she inquired about the warranty, things got rude. When he explained that the tires are only warrantied to the purchaser. My wife explained that the tires were purchased to go with the car to help sell it. He then got irritated and short. He basically said "the tires aren't warrantied...do you want me to get your car in or not?!!!" She didn't know how to respond. She told him, "I don't think its a hole, my husband thinks its where you inflate the tire." "Doesn't matter! You want it fixed or not?!" She left. I'm usually not one to complain, but when my wife (who is 6 months pregnant) calls me up balling because she was treated like dirt at a local business is total crap. Is this an isolated case...don't think so. I've heard from others that the customer service is horrible there. I cannot believe that a business like that (a national chain non-the-less) could be so rude. And the fact that they do not stand up to their product? How hard would it have been to take the car in and atleast check to see if it was the stem? To send an expecting mother out in tears is b*&&$#t. I used to recommend Les Schwab because I thought that the had exceptional service, but never again!!!! I'm in need of new tires this winter for my truck. I needed tires really really bad as my tires were almost bald. So I called Les Schwabs and spoke with Dave Stearns who is the new manager. He asked me a few questions to figure out what I needed and set me up with 4 tires at a great price. Even though there were about 20 cars in front of me and I still got my vehicle back at 4pm and I dropped it off about 10:45 that morning. I loved schwab in portland because they knew the meaning of customer service. Juneau 's shop is the opposite. Why can't a person make an appointment to have the tires changed? I don't have time to wait --literally-- hours to change my tires twice a year. The guys are very rude too. Go anywhere else if you can. read more

Were very busy but if you're patient they will make sure to get to you. Change-over season can't be easy, and I noticed that they keep calm and try to help you in the long line, even if you're disappointed because the appointment before you had unexpected issues (calm down, old lady in front of me!) and your vehicle is pushed back a half hour. I just wish they had a proper night-drop. Had to hide my keys! Just know what to expect with any sort of mechanical service and you'll realize they are running around trying to fulfill everyone's wishes. read more

Poor sevice and work...I braught tires to be changed over i asked specific ones to be placed such as right rear and left front I also asked them to replace my leaky valve stems they did not and my tires leak slowly every week i fill them up so they dont go flat the company i wrk for has brought our work viecles in and has had ALL the lugs break after being tighned to tight...on more than one occasion i will never bring my buisness back to a company who doesnt care about the equipment they are working on or the person who owns it. read more
