I was traveling from Phoenix to Spokane. Decided to camp out in an off road vehicle spot in the area the day before. I crunched a bunch of my undercarriage on some huge rocks out in the woods. There was a beefy metal frame bracket that got bent into my drive shaft. It caused the drive shaft to collide w my undercarriage. My poor Acura came in crippled. They got me in within 15 minutes & bent the metal off my driveshaft in the quickness. The technician basically said happy travels, drive safe. Fixed it for me for free & would not even take my tip. This kind of hospitality & integrity is extremely respectable. I highly recommend this shop. They want to help ppl. Places like this deserve our business imo. Battle Wheels on the Xterra Like a true nerd, I thought I could save a few bucks by picking up some rims on Facebook Marketplace. They were coming off an Xterra and going onto an Xterra--what could go wrong, right? Well, little did I know the bolt pattern changed slightly in the one year difference between the model I bought from and mine. The team at Les Schwab not only kindly broke the news of my oops, but also offered helpful suggestions. They even stripped the old tires off the rims I purchased, and once the mismatch became clear, they put my original rims and tires back on. And here's the kicker--they didn't charge me a dime. These folks are great! I was on a road trip to Utah and shortly after entering Oregon my tire unbalanced light came on. Shortly after that, the Emergency light came on stating tires needed inflating. Fortunately I was close to an exit and pulled into a convenience store/gas station. I was able to inflate the tires there but the light remained on. I asked if there was a tire center nearby and the clerk referred me to Les Schwab just down the road. I did not have an account with Les Schwab and did not purchase my tires there. It didn't matter. The kind young mechanic checked the air pressure in all tires and repaired a staple in one that had caused the tire to loose air. At the time of write up, he told me there was no charge. I tired to tip him and he refused the money. Nice to know that there are businesses that know how to care for their customers. I will definitely get any future ties from Les Schwab. Headed home from a kayak fishing tournament I had a road hazard issue. Seems a road mine took out both rear drivers side duals on my RV. I have roadside assistance that will reimburse me for the tires, but they have very specific rules. The staff at Les Schwab never batter an eye at helping me through the process and jumping through the roadside hoops. After further discussion, they assisted me with my Les Scwab account and offered me a discount on replacing all 6 of my tires. I ended up doing just that! They were very busy, and they all worked very hard. I would like to specifically thank my salesman Kenneth. He answered all my questions, super polite and represented this store very well. I was in the area on business when a dump truck passed me going the other way between Union and La Grande. Something (metal) fell off the truck and into my front right tire causing an immediate blowout. All tires were brand new to boot. Evan told me the tire was probably under their road warranty. I told him it was not the tires fault but the local dump truck. Nevertheless he thought it would be a "no charge." I called Lew Schwab and Evan came to my rescue, changing my tire and ordering a new replacement. Three days later I had the new one put on and Brandon advised me , "No charge." Wow, that made my day. Sudden service guys to the rescue!! We were far from home mid-way through a trip to Boise when all the dash warnings for loosing tire pressure came on... 7 miles down the freeway PAST LaGrande!! These guys came all the way out to help me get the spare put on while I stood on the side of the road with my little kids in tow. Once back at their shop, it was 6:01pm & their computer system was down for the night . They found a used match to the tire that had a huge unrepairable gash in the side of it & comped it to us at no charge. We were back on the road SO FAST!! I couldn't be more appreciative of the help they gave us, even out of town, even after hours, & even with no compensation. You guys are the best!! read more

In my life, I've only been in a very few joints that ALWAYS took care of my needs in a pleasing and friendly way. This is one of those places! These guys and gals go out of their way EVERY SINGLE TIME to help you get what you need when you need it and at a fair price. I stopped in a couple weeks ago to get my tires rotated, ended up with a new set of tires and wheels. I was just curious about used wheels and dang, they had some I couldn't live without. As usual everything fits, goes together right and it's ready when they say it will be ready, no excuses, no nonsense. Guess dats why I been do'in business here for years and years. La Grande Les Schwab saved our butts (and our 4th of July weekend)! Our car started shaking in the Blue Mountains on a recent road trip, so we thought we'd get our tires checked out. Apparently, our tires were splitting and it was no longer safe to drive. Caused $1200 worth of damage. It looks like the car fell off the lift or was jacked up incorrectly. When brought to Les Schwab's attention they claimed it was just a coincidence and not their responsibility. This is the second time there has been negligence, causing something coming back broken on the car with a denial of responsibility. read more

Most expensive place to buy tires. Batteries are junk and when you try to warranty them their tester always says good. Service used to be great but not anymore. Buy your tires from a local Ford or dodge dealership or online. Have commercial tire mount them for half the price. I will never darken their doorstep again. read more

purchased 4 new tires from this company for $900+ for a set of 4 and my wife has only been driving in town the front drivers side wheel went flat and got told it was unrepairable. the tire was supposed to last up to 45,000 under warranty. instead of sticking to there policy, they told me the tire will cost me almost $200 for a new one and they said tread is worn off that's why bc I didn't rotate them at 5000 miles we only went 7000 in town. read more

Came in after a 10 hr work day in hopes of a quick fix for my flat tire. I'm thinking I ran over a nail, or something of the sort.. Not sure, though. I've been a customer in some capacity at our local Les Schwab for 6 years, and have always been impressed with the outstanding customer service. The employees always offer to take a look, free of charge. Today, however, my tire was too worn to be repaired, and the gentleman who helped me initially was kind enough to bring out a price sheet for the pair of tires that needed replacing. This employee was kind and patient, despite my lack of knowledge regarding my vehicle. After agreeing to pay $170 for new tires, I left momentarily for a time sensitive errand, and returned as promised with payment. A different employee (nametag said "Deric") called my name shortly after my vehicle was taken to be worked on, to take said payment. While paying, I complimented him on the speedy job, to which he replied: "Yeah, that's what happens when you bring your car in at 6:00 and we all want to go home." Following his distasteful remark, I mentioned that I'd been misinformed on hours of operation, and wouldn't typically be "that" customer. He grunted in reply, leaving me wondering how I'd gone from such superb customer service with the initial representative to this.. I even attempted to make polite, small talk. That didn't go over well either.. the interaction ended when I asked a question about my vehicle.. without acknowledging me, he paged the initial employee who helped me and walked away (ignoring my "thank you") I understand being tired and wanting to go home for the night. My job is highly physical and demanding. Believe me, I get it. That said, being rude to people forking out hundreds of dollars (that could've been spent elsewhere) on account of being busier than you'd like is in appropriate. Especially with the reputation of customer service Les Schwab honors and advertises so publicly. I wish I knew the name of the helpful employee who assisted me for the most part. Sadly, it was Deric who left an impression. read more

I stopped here looking for tire chains to make it through the dead mans pass on my way to Washington, in a little Nissan. I heard it was snowing and I was worried my car wouldn't do good. Unfortunately, they didn't have tire chains BUT had amazing customer service. They reassured me about the pass and made me feel comfortable about driving it. I'm very disappointed. My Daughter took her car in to have the tires rotated. One of the tire lugs/studs was broken. They did not address this issue or inform her of it. I think this would be a safety issue they would want to have taken care of. I also have been in there many times needing air in my tires. Most of the time I ended up waiting a long time without anyone wanting to help me. People would make eye contact but quickly look away. Several times I just left. So much for the time someone eagerly ran to help you. I have already started replacing my tires elsewhere. read more

My husband and I had been traveling since 7 am this morning and about about 9:00 we pulled over to get fuel he checked the tires and discovered one had a slight bulge. We had just replaced one yesterday for the same reason. We are pulling a 34ft fifth wheel and this could be quite a problem. By the time we reached Baker City at around noon we stopped for lunch, checked the tired and it had gotten much worse. OK it's Sunday, 4th of July weekend. Traveling from ottawa,canada . While camping in area noticed travel trailer tires were wearing unevenly and contacted tire shop and was told to stop on by no appointment necessary.
