Took my car in for new tires wheels in perfect condition and an hour later it came out with $1,700 of damage between the damage on all 4 wheels, they state that there machine wouldn't do that but it wasn't like that when I took it in and I can't think of any other way they could have been damaged, still currently working on getting them to cover the damages they caused. Do not go here unless you don't care about your car!!! Never have had this bad of an experience at a Les shwab until now. read more

I've always gone to Les Schwab for all my and our business's tire needs. I usually go to a store in the area but not this one. I now know why. I went in the office and was instructed to go to the first bay and wait for someone to help me. A man came out to help a guy in front of me. He didn't even acknowledge my presence. I'm used to my regular store do I was quite shocked at his unfriendliness. I had a couple mower tires to drop off. After he helped the guy in front of me he just went back inside and blew me off. Finally he did walk over and sort of speak some garbled words I didn't understand. I could go on but it doesn't really matter. He was rude and unhelpful. I've never been treated as if I didn't exist at any Les Schwab before. I'll return to my other Les Schwab store, a bit further to drive but it's worth it to not feel like you've ruined someone's entire day. I thought service was their specialty, I guess not in Newberg. Very thankful for the entire staff at Les Schwab Newburg- we were traveling from Sacramento and had a bulge in our tire and needed a replacement. 500 miles from home to watch a football game at George fox with 2 hours to spare . We advised what we needed they searched and found the exact tire we needed in the back. Got the tire mounted and installed within an hour for us and made sure we were safe for our trek back home and we made it to the game with time to spare. The price was unbeatable too!!!!!!!! It was only a half an hour before closing, and my tire was flat. I called the Newberg store to see if it was possible to squeeze me in, and was greeted by a lovely woman who said, no problem we can handle it in 15-20 minutes. When I walked in, she already knew that I was the person who urgently needed help with my tire. I had barely sat down to wait, when it was ready to go. Went in for a wheel alignment 8am by noon they called my husband to let him know my truck was ready. Came out with a 160 dollar bill for a service I didn't ask for nor was I asked if I did, they just went ahead and did without our consent. Manager pretty much said tough, or leave the vehicle longer to have the bushings they put on taken off. Rude and scammy. I hate companies that pull these moves knowing the customer will always opt to pay than the be inconvenienced without a car. Call a lawyer that's not legal. Fraudulent Despite the delusional perception that the manager responded with below! The vehicle does not require anything if it's an option don't play these word games with me dude. Requirement is enforced by law and by law I don't have to have squat changed for a wheel alignment or shall I say "bushing style alignment". Hence why you gave my husband the option to have them changed back to the ones we had?! But they are a requirement?!?!? Haha nice try. IT IS FRAUDULENT TO DO WORK ON SOMEONES VEHICLE WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT! Doing the work right means calling the customer and asking them if it's ok to do the work!!! I have been driving my SUV for about a year and a half and recently one of my tires went flat. Someone came out same day to take a look and temporarily fix the flat or put the spare on. Well I drive a Land Rover Range Rover sport, and apparently it is so sensitive that they were not comfortable putting on a spare to drive it a mile. Instead, they got a matching tire to my existing set so I could drive it over without disrupting the system. Did I mention it was pouring rain? Well I got to the shop and purchased the set and they put the best matching tire from my existing set on the spare. Were the tires expensive? Sure. But I knew that when I got a luxury SUV. I went in because I've been having troubles with a new battery I got in February. I've had to jump it a couple times when it wouldn't start but this morning absolutely nothing happened after jumping it. I put a new battery in to drive over and had them test the original battery. They said the battery was good and said it was my "wiring" or "connectors" but refused to go outside to look at my truck after I asked multiple times. Came back later with my boyfriend and he told them the exact same things as me. They didn't even test the battery and just gave him a new one on warranty. Incredibly disappointing in this service and felt this was incredibly sexist treatment. I was completely blown off by two employees and was not helped until a man was present. This Les Schwab location USED to be my go to place for tires. I've quit shopping there because the service is so painfully slow. A few years ago staff would make an effort to initiate contact with customers. The attitude now is more like "Meh.... we'll get to you eventually..." Your typical wait for a tire change, rotation, or even a flat fix is 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Even if you're there when they open the doors in the morning, you'll be lucky if they start on your car in 30-45 minutes. The front desk staff NEVER, EVER gives customers an honest estimate of wait times. If you have to stop here, don't give them your keys. Makes it easier to leave if they don't start work in a reasonable time. Tell them they can have them when they're ready to work on the car. That way, you don't have to wait another 10-15 minutes while they grudgingly track them down for you. We've all seen the Les Schwab commercials showing friendly employees running out to greet customers, and it's pretty much that way at the Tualatin, Canby, and Woodburn stores. Newberg should make their employees watch those commercials every morning.... If you need tire service in Newberg, the Point S store up on 99E is cheaper and has better service. You're greeted immediately and more often than not your service is completed within 45 minutes. read more

They WILL be my tire, brake, and alignment store for as long as we are both in Town. This is why: The brakes of my old 'POS' were squealing enough for me to think the rotors were getting in the 'groove'. Which, for those that don't know, is a bad thing. I took the car to Les Schwab in Newberg figuring I might have to pay for new rotors and brakes. I was estimating it might cost as much as $300.00 but its better than having your tires fall off. I dropped it off mid morning on a Saturday. I received a call about 3hrs later with the kind gentleman on the other side stating that my break pads were fine and I still had 70% left on them. He noted that for some cars, the break pads just squeal. I went to pick up the car thinking I might have to pay a small service fee, but they just handed me the keys and said thanks for coming. They could have said I needed new everything, and I probably would have bought it. Their honesty is impeccable. read more

He removed them took them to the shop to replace them (because I only had 1 spare) . He called my husband and I to tell us to meet him at the car. Les Schwab continues to be the most trustworthy place I've ever taken my car! Every location is great, but this one stood out today b/c I was in from out of town for a company training and my tire started acting up... it's gone flat a couple times before and I thought maybe it was just time to shell out for replacements. I was definitely wary of trying to drive all the way home on it at the end of the week. However, these trainings are all day affairs and I didn't manage to get over there until almost 5 (they close at 6). They were fairly busy and I figured the chances of them having time to get to me tonight were slim, but I thought maybe I could leave it there & get a taxi, or call a coworker to come pick me up... anyway, I ended up not needing to do any of that, because they fixed it in about 30 minutes and informed me I didn't need to replace it and that they'd made the repairs for free! (The guy explained all the stuff they did, which actually did involve replacing some component, but I'll be honest, I was really tired at that point & didn't retain much beyond the fact that it was good to go and safe to drive on.) The free part was not a total surprise (Les Schwab has historically patched up tires for me for free, even when they weren't theirs, which is one of the reasons I love them so much--they demonstrably want to earn your business), but the speed and the extreme courtesy they displayed really wowed me. I always make it a point to buy my tires at LS and every time I visit them, I'm reminded why that's the right choice. Thank you, Newberg Les Schwab! I have been and will remain a long term Les Schwab customer BUT, the office in Newberg was my worst experience ever. The front desk clerk was so rude I left with a flat tire and paid more at a near by dealership just so I could get decent service and back on the road again. I went to the Les Schwab in Newberg after finding they had the best reviews around. I had a tire with a slow leak that I needed repaired. The service that I got was relatively professional, not the best that I have ever received but not bad. People were friendly and took the time to explain to me what was wrong, which I appreciate. The tire was dismounted, repaired, and balanced all at the cost of $0, which came at quite a surprise, especially seeing as though that was my first time there. However, after getting the wheel home I realized that there is a scratch on the lip that travels half the way around. The wheel was not exactly in mint condition when I brought it in, but I have pictures before going there and that scratch was not there. I would have happily paid the $30-50 to have this service done if it meant my $300 wheel stayed in the same condition I brought it in. Ultimately, if you care about your vehicles aesthetics and a couple scratches would bother you then I do not recommend coming here. But if just want decent service and a low bill then this might be the place for you. read more
