Flat tire fixed for FREE! Folks at Post Falls Les Schwab are friendly, fast and .... No charge for my flat, really! Thank you Tasha and Joe for fast turn around, I barely got any work done on computer. I really appreciate the high bench with plug in power to work, and it's the comfy things that really add to make a positive experience, the padded stools and clean wait room even at the end of day. I've multiple experiences where they tried pulling, for a lack of better words, a scam to get more money from me. Luckily I work in a heavy equipment shop as a mechanic and know my way around vehicles. long story short, one time, going in for a simple alignment they tried charging me for new rotors, calipers, and a few others. Telling me the rotors couldn't be lathed because of the rust (they're rotors, with surface rust...) and there was uneven brake wear (I just changed my own brakes the day prior, noticed that I was missing a slide pin from the front caliper, which I was going to do myself after I got my alignment done.) When they reached out on the phone, I called them on their lie and there was an awkward silence, because he got called out by someone who knew what they were talking about, and I told them just to do the alignment and don't touch the rest of my car. Another time I went to go get new wheels because mine were bald. These had a 60,000 mile warranty on them, they had it on record that they were only put on 30,000 miles prior. When I asked about getting credited money for the warranty, the manager made up some story about how they couldn't credit (he made up some fiction requirement I didn't meet). As soon as left, I called corporate and told them what it was going on and lo-and-behold, within 5-minutes my local Les Scwab called me back to tell me that "it was their mistake, it was a new shop manager" and I would get 50% of the cost of those tires applied to my new balance. These are just a couple of my personal stories, as there's more, of how they'll take advantage of people. I can't imagine what they do to people that don't know their way around vehicles. They've built a toxic culture that revolves around taking advantage of customers in situations when they think it'll favor them. read more

I had a inner tie rod replaced on my 2001 Ford Ranger. Boot was not installed correctly over the Rack and Pinion can get contaminates inside boot clamp SHOULD of been used to secure boot. I also was charged $30 more than Quote. NOT very happy. read more

I just wanted my tires balanced from this store. Before paying, the manager tried to convince me that my front ball joints were bad after they were just replaced. He tried quoting me hundreds of dollars to replace the "Bad" joints. After telling him to stop trying to scam me, I'm now black listed from the store whenever I give them my phone number. Go down the street to Perfection Tire if I were you, There's a reason why all bays are empty at Les Schwab and all the bays at perfection tire are full. Having lived in the area for over 50 years and 30 of those taking my business to the PF Les Schwab, could never think about going back and will never refer friends or family. Condescending leadership and disgruntled front desk female staff. Attempted to over charge me $200 due to a new policy when Perfection and Tire Rama did not. Have spent $10,000s + over the years here and was told..."... it doesn't matter that you've been a long term customer..." certainly doesn't resonate with the Les Schwab motto. The crew at Les Schwab took our truck in at the last minute, not too long before closing, and did a great job with our tires! Their team is constantly moving and getting the job done! The waiting areas are spaced out for privacy amongst customers, and they also provide free fresh popcorn and coffee. There's also vending machines should you prefer. I truly believe that this Les Schwab tire center has the potential to be a five-star rating. Over-the-phone service with Cody was great. Upon arrival, Daniel came out to greet me and pick up my tire for the replacement of a new spare. The woman employee at the counter appeared as if she was readily competent in what needed to be done (a little stiff in personality) nothing personal, at least I don't think. When it came to check-out with the employee whose name I am not certain of the energy shifted down a gear. He was not customer service oriented nor friendly not to mention when he left the counter he pointed in a random direction (that I as a customer would not have been cognizant of) and stated your tire will be there and then took off. Upon leaving the store I notified the employees that I was ready to have my tire loaded into the vehicle. I was met with confusion as to where to locate my brand-new tire, not to mention they discarded my previous tire and charged me for it when I had notified them in advance that I wanted my tire returned. This kerfuffle took a while to sort and in the meantime, my Lyft driver was kind to wait. Despite the last-minute inconvenience I continued to remain patient. Finally, a dirty tire was brought out to me and I was asked by the employee if the tire that I had never seen before let alone wouldn't be able to recognize belonged to me. Naturally, I had no idea! And instead of troubleshooting, they continued to look at me for a response. To be honest I am still not sure if it was my tire let alone if it was the brand-new one that I purchased. read more

Cracked a wheel due to the wrong weights and tried to play it off that I hit something when the Crack was obviously covered up by their weight. My wife recently brought our 2021 Toyota Corolla hybrid (with 50,000 miles on it)to the Post Falls Idaho location to get the winter tires changed over to the summer tires. We were called by the shop a while later to let us know that our front wheel bearings were shot. I got on the phone since I drive the car more and they asked "You must've heard the grinding and growling from the front end when you're driving, right?" I told him no I haven't heard anything and since I have an extended warranty on the vehicle, I will have it checked out by the dealer. They called a while later to let me know that I had a hole in one of the sidewalls of one of the tires. I found that to be very strange since there was no pressure loss on any of those tires the last time they were on the vehicle. I ended up having them replace two tires and then took the vehicle to the dealer to have it checked out. The dealer checked the car out by driving it and by putting it up on the rack, they even put a stethoscope up to the wheels and found nothing wrong with the wheel bearings. All this can only lead me to one of two conclusions. Either the shop is being dishonest or they're completely incompetent. Either way I will not be returning to Les Schwab for any service in the future on any vehicle, I own or drive. Furthermore, I now have a vibration when I reach about 45 miles an hour leading me to believe that they did not correctly balance the wheels. read more

I don't need brakes, I don't need struts, I don't need lower control arms, all I needed on my 6th trip in was my new Les Schwab tires not to leak. What happened to honesty and integrity and someone who can actually fix a tire? Perfection finally fixed it for free. Poor value, considering waste of time and the risk to my grandchildren. After leaving our car parked at the local airport for a week; the temps had been dropping down to freezing. When we got to our car and started driving it, the tire pressure light came on the dash. The next day we drove directly to Les Schwab Tire Center in Post Falls and as soon as we pulled up in front of a bay, Chris approached us and asked how he could help us. We explained our situation and right away he helped us. He checked each tire and put air in them and even took the time to reset our dash to remove this alert. We know that with how busy the Tire Center was on a Saturday, he made us feel like valued customers. Worst customer service I've ever experienced from a "mechanic", if you can even call them that. Went in with a brake issue after just getting a brake job done. Was sure all it needed was a flush in the brake fluid. They refused to do anything because "they didn't install the parts" and insisted we pay for all new parts for them to install. Then proceeded to write up a quote after being told we didn't want or need one. They're a bunch of money hungry scammers. Took the car over to Tire Rama... and guess what? They took the car in, flushed the brake fluid and had the car running good as new in about 30-45 minutes max. Here's the real kicker, they did it for FREE. Thats good business right there. I recommend anyone thinking about going to Les Schwab, don't. Turn around and give your business to Tire Rama, they deserve it way more than this place. read more

Absolutely terrible!!!! I would give 0 stars if I could! I brought my Subaru in and told them it was making a squealing noise when turning as well as sometimes when just driving straight. They then told me I needed all new tires as well as a whole list of other things, 1200 dollars later the noise was still there!! I don't recommend ever taking your car here unless you want to pay for a bunch or random shit and still not have the problem fixed. read more

I have been coming the Post Falls Les Schwab since 2006. The staff is friendly and efficient and always going the extra mile to help resolve anything I have going on with my tires. Twice I have had metal from the roads ruin a tire and the warranty covered all or most of the replacement tire. They had the new tire on within hours, without an appointment. They support the local community with sponsoring sports teams and the local school district fundraisers. I appreciate this store and all the great employees that work there! read more

Took my car in to get steering fixed and alignment. I was quoted $880 and agreed to it. Was told price could change slightly but not much and my car would be done by the end of the day. I had to call the next day and they wouldn't give me a time frame of when it would be done, I ended up waiting until the end of the day. When I got there they charged me $1220! $340 is not a sight change. They wouldn't even explain why they had to charge the extra $340. I wouldn't go there for anything ever again. I honestly wish I could give no stars for the experience I had with this location. I went in at 9 to drop off my vehicle to have tires swapped out drove by a couple times while out and my car would just be in different spots in the parking lot. At 330 I get a call cause they couldn't find the dropped off tires. Then once they relocated them they informed us the price would go up "extremely high" BECAUSE they weren't snow tires. So we were told we had to pay $221 dollars. But if they were snow tires it would be cheaper. The issue is they don't tell you that upfront they tell you 6.5 hours later when you have wasted your whole day. Once we retrieved tires and vehicle back we were quoted at tire-rama $80 dollars and more then willing to get us in. I've been a loyal customer of Les Schwab for well over 10 years and never plan to return, especially the Post Falls location. Please relook where you get your vehicle needs because there are places that won't price gouge you the way this location does. read more

I went there in Post Falls to buy some tires and brakes . I ordered the stuff or so I or thought I did. I was told they would call me when the stuff came in. I never got a return call. I called a few weeks later and no one knew what I was talking about. They are nice people. I know they're busy. I don't think they did it on purpose. Have had two interactions with this les Schwab. Both times they have attempted to (succeeded the first time) to screw us over on 100s of dollars. The first time I got a new set of tires- requested the whole job- tires, alignment, balance, etc. left with my steering wheel about 45 degrees off from where it should be. When we brought it back, they said that since we left the lot with it and drove it around (drove it the 1/2 mile home) that we would have to pay for the damage it caused to the actual wheel + the alignment. The second time we interacted with them was today when we had a nail in our tire and brought it in. Worker calls my husband and tries to pass it by him that we need 4 new tires because our car is an all-wheel. Oh, you mean our Jeep? Which is famously NOT all-wheel and you'd have to be an idiot to say that. Either he was an idiot or he was lying. I'm gonna go with the latter. The store has gone down hill ever since the new manager took over. He's always trying to upsell you very expensive jobs. The Les Schwab tires dont last. I tried to get a break on a new set and the manger said my rear tires had clearly not been rotated. Wrong. I'm anal about tire rotation and do it myself because every time I got to them it's a six hour wait. Now my rotations weren't on record so they wouldn't pro-rate the new tires. After 20 years of satisfaction, prior to this manager, I'm done. There are better ways to get tire services in Post Falls. read more

Okay, so the first time i went to Les Schwab i needed to get my tires rotated, and when i got my car back the tires were completely off balance. So later I made an appointment to get new brakes and get the tires rebalanced, and everything seemed like it went smoothly until my tire FELL OFF OF MY CAR and rolled away while i was on the freeway 3 hours after getting my car back to me, and it completely ruined my rim and almost caused me to get into a potentially deadly accident. I stop by the dealership to look at some tires I was interested in, knowing their prices were higher than most places but their customer service was to be top notch. I'm just gonna break down what I was quoted. Tires 295/60/20.$2099.00 Wheel balance $66.96 TPMS rebuild 4 $27.96 (really? Truck has 473 miles LT tire TPMS. $0 (assuming to tranfer) Fuel Wheels. $1340 ($10 over the manufactures list Lug nuts. $20.00 Lug nut key $8.01 Freight. $60.00 (I mean what the double F!) TOTAL with tax $3839.24 Holy crap! About had to change my underpants. Oh and the guy helping me it was condescending and rude, I asked him differences between a few tires and he just kept talking over me and felt talked down to me and acted like it was too much to answer, and then still never answered. Ok so I knew they were out. So headed to Coeurdalene Perfection Tire. JJ has always been great. Here is his pricing and yes he did get a great buy on the wheels. Exact Same Tires $1240.00 (100% same tire) Fuel Wheels. $$810.00 Lug nuts & tool. $24.00 Mount and balance $64.00 Out the door. $2266.28 Creeping up on double the price quick. I wish this would let me submit pictures because I have the estimate from Les Schwab and the actual bill that I paid to Perfection Tire, for proof since it seems so outrageous. Anyway BUYER BEWARE Just get some price quotes, I could've even had these shipped from online like eBay for $2400. bucks mounted and balanced. I get the less Schwab gives excellent customer service (usually) but this highway robbery, almost theft. Could you imagine sending your daughter or wife in there? Oh and I remember when this dealership told me I needed new struts and shocks on my 36,000 mile Nissan Frontier, so I took it to the dealer concerned and they just laughed because they couldn't do anything since nothing was wrong. Nissan even took me back and showed me that nothing was leaking, they were not bouncing around, and they weren't making noise.
