Went in for an unexplained shimmy in the Expedition. Talked to Jacob who who told me to bring it in the same day. After an inspection, it turned out I needed new tires. Jacob explained my options and and we settled on a set of new tires. We also scheduled an alignment as well. When I got there to pick up the truck, Jacob told me that I didn't need the alignment since everything checked out. It was so great to work with a good group of people who were professional and fair. Non service. 1.) I bring in car for flat repair. 2.) You attempt to repair and charge me $20. 3.) I wake up Sunday to a flat tire. 4.) I return Monday and you admit the repair should not have been even attempted ( don't know what the tech that did the repair was thinking) now it is unrepairable. Need to replace tire, oh and here's an estimate for a new tire. $150 plus... 5.) Me: Huh, This is customer service. What's wrong with this picture. 6.) I take to Custom Wheel in Redding have the repair fixed by Dan and Larry and am on my way in 30 min. Oh yeah ( We found 2 holes in the tire right next to each other.) This place has allways been the go to for good service in the past. Not any more.... Don't understand how "your" mistake becomes "my" problem. If the tire was not repairable the day i brought it in then I should have been made aware then, and your attempt to repair made it worse. Not my fault... I am a tad bit disappointed today with my service. I went in last night at 4pm, waited 15 minutes and was told they were too busy to do an alignment on my vehicle. I was told to come first thing in the AM as this was the time they were least busy (They could get me right in etc etc) I arrive at 7:40am to wait only to find out they have so many left over vehicles from the night before that I would not get my car back till after 3pm. I hadn't arranged a ride or anything because based on my previous information, early in the morning would be a great time to come in. I have experienced this run around several times and honestly, am tired of the no appointment hullabaloo. I am going elsewhere. I would LOVE to make a suggestion though- Have wait times posted online, or even in the store so that people can stop waiting around only to be turned away. read more

So Market St Redding store I came in a few weeks ago for tires for my travel trailer. Jessica is the best at what she does, she suggested a trailer tire that has the performance and a fair price for my 4 tires and the spare. They were all due. Juan checked out my brakes and found a wheel seal that just started seeping and completed the bearing repack and inspection. Wyatt and Scott took over and got my new tires mounted and balanced and installed in good time and professionalism. If i could give a 0 star, I would! My husband and I went to this location on December 21, 2016 to get new tires. While we were there we figured we would get our brakes checked. After the tires were on and we went to pay, we were told that our breaks were great and had a minimum of 6mm left (which should be totally acceptable). After driving through town for a day we kept hearing metal-on-metal while breaking. We decided to take a look ourselves, and LOW AND BEHOLD, there's NOTHING left on the brake pads!!! We decided to call in and they had absolutely NOTHING to say to us except, "It looks like they only checked one side! This one is metal-on-metal!" And then proceeded to sell us on applying for a credit card! I am absolutely appalled at the service and quality of the work from this shop! I will be pursuing this matter further in court! read more

I took my 2016 Ford F150 to a Ford dealership because there was a loud noise (like a rumbling noise) coming from somewhere when driving the truck. The faster the speed, the louder the noise. After having the dealership examine my truck, they told me it was coming from the tires being "cupped" which I could not see when I looked at the tires. The tires were new with less than 9,000 miles on them. I then took my truck back to Les Schwab Tires on Hilltop in Redding where I bought the tires. The manager, Josh, told me they would standby the tire warranty, if the tire(s) were defective. After an inspection, Josh told me the noise was not coming from the tires, but from a bad from-left wheel bearing. I had Les Schwab replace the wheel bearing and the noise was gone. Not sure how the dealership got it so wrong or maybe they just did not want to standby my 10-year 100,000 miles factory warranty. Either way, Les Schwab did a great job diagnosing and repairing the damaged wheel bearing. I highly recommend this tire company on Hilltop in Redding for their honesty, great service and a reasonable price. read more

I took my ladies BMW X1 into this Les Schwab yesterday and I had a great experience! I was met in the lobby by one of their service writers by the name of Jacob. Met me with a smile and handshake right at the computer. From their I explained my issue with my breaks squealing. I went on to further explain how I took the brakes apart myself and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. So I'm stuck and don't know what the issue was!! They take the car and a couple hours later Jacob calls and tells me that everything seems to be in good order and they don't see anything that would cause it as well. We came up with the idea of resurfacing the rotors. Seems logical of course but I just super appreciated Jacob and the team to not try and sell me something I don't need. He could of easily tried to sell me $500+ in new rotors and pads ,but he didn't. He listened to what my issue was, made sure to thoroughly go through the vehicle and then still showed good character and agreed with me on going with the most budgetly friendly route. Even stayed after closing to get it done for me!! All in all had an awesome experience!! Found my new tire and brake shop in town and will definitely recommend them in the future! read more

Bought a car from someone who had purchased the four tires on it from Les Schwab. So when I hit a metal screw and a tire developed a slow leak I went in for a repair. I had a similar event with my other car at a different tire shop (which triggered a negative review from me). Since I changed tires when I was in college to help make ends meet, I have expectations. Les Schwab is the very best tire shop I've ever been to. They handled my visit very quickly, and they fixed my tire a bit faster than they quoted me. I could not have asked for better service than they gave me. So they won me over as a customer. The other shop I had been using is now forever off my list. Les Schwab saved my life today. Okay, maybe not my life. But definitely from being carless for the entire weekend in this triple-digit heat. My car wouldn't start yesterday or today. It was going to be $60+ to test the battery at the dealer and they didn't have time until Monday. I randomly called Les Schwab to see if they even tested batteries. They did, the testing was free, they had my battery in stock, drove it right over from their other store, it came with a 7-year warranty, was better than my factory battery and the job was $100 less than the dealer. And this was 4pm on a Fri afternoon. Incredible. And Brandon was kind, professional and respectful. That was the best part. And, they have a beautiful waiting area. If I could give 6 stars, I would! The wife, dogs and I were on a roadtrip with lots of little things going wrong, including a flat tire on the dunebuggy we were towing behind our RV. The problem turned out to be a $4.50 valve stem. Not only did they not charge us for labor but they would not even let us pay for the part. Especially impressive since we're not from the area, hence unlikely to do repeat business at this location. Big fans of Les Schwab now though!!! read more

I'd like to give 5 stars for bad service but thats not allowed. So I'll "Karen" this out. Les Schwab: we paid about $1,300.00(+/-) for brand new tires at the store and not only did they take literally HOURS but they broke my husbands TPMS on his tire but told him that THEY would call HIM when the part was in. But he still called to check about a month later and they got frustrated with him, reiterating that they'd contact him. 6 months later and now we're trying to sell the car and remember, they never called. We called them and luckily it was in and they remembered and replaced it for free, which also took HOURS again. However they never reset anything in the car and the tire pressure light stayed on. Upon trying to sell it, we received less money because they believed something was wrong with the truck to cause that light to stay on and they'd have to run diagnostics on it and we couldn't ask them to wait so we could take it back, which was fantastic. If your only job is to specialize in cars, specifically tires, you'd think you would f*** up simple things like this. read more

Dropped off a tire to have valve stem fixed and came back an hour later and it was sitting in the same place; asked how long it was going to be and she stated that there were 3 vehicles ahead of me. They have no order to things here and an obvious lack of care. I recommend going elsewhere. My daughter had a flat tire changed the night before by AAA who did not put lug nuts on tight and three of them fell out on her way down the mountain. Her truck was shaking so bad she thought the tire was going to fly off so drove 3o miles an hour and limped into Les Swab on Hilltop Drive. Bad experience service is getting bad. I spent Saturday morning waiting for a tow truck to air a flat tire on my car. I just bought the car and had no jack or spare. The driver aired my tire up and I drove to Les Schwab on Hilltop in Redding. I explained what had happened and if they could please check all of my tires even though only the one went flat. About 45 minutes later my car was ready I asked if there was a nail or something else in the tire and I was told there was no leak in it at all however another tire had a nail in it and they fixed that one. After going back and forth saying that that was not the tire that was flat and being looked at like I was crazy for saying they fixed the tire that was not leaking, I figured they must have mixed the two up. Well here it is the next morning AND on a Sunday and the same tire is flat again. My car is in my locked garage and only I have access to it so that rules out foul play. I can't believe that the service rep at Les Schwab didn't find it strange that the tire I came in for, which was flat minutes before, had no leak and WOULD NOT re check it for me and let me leave with an unpaired tire that is flat again. Now I have to wait till Monday morning to call another tow truck and have them come out again and fill my flat tire again, so I can take it somewhere else. NEVER again will I go to Les Schwab for ANYTHING! This is a far decline from how they used to be. Oh, and BTW no one came running out to help me like they show on their commercials. I had to wait inside, the only one in line at the time, while the woman at the counter was on what sounded like a personal phone call...WTF? UPDATE!!! They sent their truck out to air up my tire and I got it to their shop....LOW AND BEHOLD, there was a nail in the original tire I brought it in in the first place for. I would give this Place a no star if possible. I brought in my Subaru Tribeca to check out some noice in my front end. They came back and told me I needed 2 control arms($500 each), installation fee ($120) and alignment. For a total of $1200! They where also high pressure with a "I need an answer ASAP if you want this repair done, because my driver is picking up the parts at the warehouse now." So I took it to Cary's Tires in Redding for a second opinion. They where very friendly with many years of experience, he seem very honest, so I gave him a try. After looking it over he quoted me $350. I only needed 1 control Arm($250) and a couple of new bushings, he also aligned my Subaru! So, with that said, I will never go to another Les Scam again! read more

Very dissatisfied, set up appointment to drop off vehicle with all the promises of no problem we'll have it done the next day by noon. When I dropped off they couldn't find appointment and asked if I could leave alittle longer. They told me parts came in day before as planned. The day of pickup I called to check progress and they said we just got started at 330 for what they told me was a 4 hour job first it's, shocks and alignment. They said it'll be done by closing so I show up 555 since they close at 6. Truck still in the air with no alignment yet. Lame excuses of "we were busy" is stupid cuz why make appt?
