Got some new tires and asked them to fix the alignment. Drove out and noticed it was still not aligned correctly. Went back and they said they'd fix it. It's still not aligned correctly.... Will go get it fixed elsewhere. Not going back a 3rd time. read more

I've been patronizing Les Schwab since at least 1995. Since that time, I have purchased all my tires and batteries for passenger vehicles and garden tractors from them. I typically went to the Yakima Avenue (Yakima, WA) location until the Selah location opened. When traveling, I almost aways went to Les Schwab for any tire and automotive needs. I was consistently impressed by the service and the warranties. Over the last several years, they stopped doing oil and filter changes. When I would check in for low air and/or winter/summer tire change overs, I usually had to return, sometimes 3 or 4 times to get my tire pressure monitoring system light reset. In general, they were still reasonably responsive, but the level of expertise and customer service was definitely lacking. The seems to have been occurring over time. Today, I took my 1990 truck with 97,000 original miles in for an alignment. I also took a set of mounted tires in for a changeover. My alignment was scheduled for 1:00 pm. I got there a little early and dropped it off. I asked them if they could do a changeover and take a good look at the suspension and running gear, since I just had some work down on it and wanted to be sure everything was safe. They agreed to do it. My wife and I went to lunch and ran some errands. At 2:35 pm, I received a call from Les Schwab. I was told that the could not change over my tires because the tires that were on my truck were showing wear and the replacement tires on the back were from 2002 and, for some reason, they were not able to put tires of a certain age on a vehicle. The changeover tires had been in a barn, and not exposed to sun or weather for several years. The tires on the truck may have had 30,000 miles on them and had been exposed to the weather but had plenty of tread and were not anywhere near failure. As the mechanic tried to justify this absurd position, I explained this was a farm truck that was driven 3 to 5 times a year. I asp explained that the "newer tires" had been out of the weather and were in much better than good condition. He would not budge on his position. He advised there were no significant safety problems he had noted except that my brake fluid looked dark. When I asked him if he could change it, he said he could not because he would have to take the tires off to bleed the brake lines and he could not put on either of the sets of tires I had with me. In addition, they had not yet even begun my alignment since "something got stuck on the alignment rack". They called me at 4:03pm to say they had completed my alignment, and my truck was ready. After over 3 hours, I picked up my truck, which, according the Les Schwab, had unsafe tires on it, with dark brake fluid that they would not change because of my allegedly unsafe tires, that they couldn't/wouldn't change because the other tires were past some expiration date. At least they aligned the vehicle for me. I am sure on some planet, this makes sense. I am now going to patronize another shop that offers better service and has solutions to problems (real or imagined). read more

Huuuuge location, super high ceilings, nice employees. I drove over from Seattle and as I was coming down from Mount Rainier my rear tires started making a ton of noise every time I shifted my steering wheel even slightly. Pulled into this Les Schwab not sure what was wrong, they got me in immediately, and it turned out three of my lug nuts had fallen off and a number of others were loose. I was in-and-out in about 90 minutes and oh my goodness my life could have been over had they not caught it. So grateful for them! read more

ordered tires and wheels for my car. Cody called and said they were in and to come down. I went there, not very busy but terribly slow. I waited for two and a half hours for them to get my car into the shop. Then they tell me the wheels didn't show up and I would have to come back next week. Total B.S. Worst experience ever! Ordered wheels after a week of waiting was informed they couldn't get the wheels. Then picked out new wheels that the salesperson assured me would work on my truck. Dropped the truck off and when I came to pick it up no center caps on the truck. The center caps were sitting in the seat. I was sold wheels that don't fit the truck. Now we are on week three and waiting for center caps to make the wheels fit correctly. Horrible, horrible service!!! read more
