Very unprofessional, prone to error, and blatantly disrespectful to their customers. I came here with my wife to pick her up after she dropped her car off to get new tires. The parking lot was full and the only spot for her to park was a tight angled spot that had to be reversed into. I naturally got out and asked my wife if she wanted me to do it to ease some stress from the situation. She said sure and I parked her car for her. The employees start making fun of her to each other while I go and park my car around the block. Saying "wow she can't park herself" and other rude comments. We drive away without saying anything. Get a call about 10 mins later with them saying "you told me 50 not 55 for the tire size, we don't have used tires in that size". When scheduling this tire change I read the tire size off the wheel to 2 separate employees and they still can't seem to get the tire size correct. Not only did they disrespect my wife right in front of her they can't even do their jobs right remembering one number. I understand human error but the disrespectful comments are over the line. We went to West Valley Les Schwabb today. They rotated all our tires for free! We had just bought a Tesla and they had everything they needed to do that. Not all tire shops do. No charge and they were great! Going to keep buying all our tires here! There was even a place where we could sit and watch them work on the car. Love this place!! read more

They sell bad batteries then charge $139 to jump it. This has been a really bad Les Schwab experience and Rocky was really rude with me when I asked for service help. The only reason I ever bought from Les Schwab was the trusted service. If the product they sell is leaving me stranded it is not worth paying extra. After doing business with Les Schwab for over 30 years Rocky has convinced me it is time to find something different. They lost my trust. I WILL follow Rocky's advice and call that tow truck service for a jump. read more

I took my car in three different times for the same problem (vibration when pressing on the gas). They told me it was mounts nothing to do with my tires or suspension or axles. (fixed the mounts and another parT) still vibrated) The other location on 1st took one look at my car and found out it was my drivers axles that were bad causing the vibration. fixed and no vibration. Today, coming into Yakima we had a blow out on the Freeway. Long time Les Schwab clients we called and the store location was actually 1/2 mile away. And they came out in less than 20 minutes!! So impressed with them. So professional and kind got our spare put on and then went to the retail store and bought all new tires! These folks are wonderful. We can't be happier with them. I had a rental car for the drive from Seattle to Yakima-- along the drive the tire sensor went off and it showed decreased pressure in the back left tire. Upon arrival, the rental company was closed - so early the next morning I stopped by Les Schwab (helped by Cody). When I told him the problem- he said he'd check right away so I'd be safe for the drive back. He promptly took the car in- found and patched the tire (nail)- filled the tire - and in time for me to get to my training on time. Not only did they not charge me- they also refused being tipped. They are wonderful! We had a blow out on the highway about 10 miles outside of Yakima on our way home to the Tri-Cities. As soon as I had the spare on we called Les Schwab. It was 5:50pm (they close at 6). They were so gracious and waited for me to get to the store. Had it fixed and on my way in 20 minutes. They were so friendly and courteous. Went to go get an alignment at 702 E Yakima Ave Yakima, WA 98901 United States , I had a bad control arm wanted to charge me 800$+ for the work. Came to the other les Schwab the one infront of Panda Express in yakima washington and they charged me 460$. cant say enough good things about this place. We were 2.5 hours into a cross country roadtrip and our tire basically exploded. We limped here on a spare and the team had us in and out with a new set in and hour. I'm in town from seattle working and hit a curb and blew my tire out and bent my tie rod and strut. I got towed here and they got me in right away and after calling around everywhere trying to find parts I was unable to, and they were able to help fix my tire rod enough to get me home to Seattle. Rocky went out of his way to help me and get it fixed enough to make it home to seattle. Ray also helped me when I got there and Emily at the desk was amazing. There was one front desk person who was polite and professional so hopefully she will be handling the majority of clients. They did me a huge service. I was coming from Tricities so do a job in Yakima and my truck front Bering went out. I dropped it off as my job was right around the corner they looked at it and told me what the problem was. But said it would be the next day before they could do it. I had an important training in Seattle in the morning and really needed it done. The figured out a way to do it and got it finished. So I was able to make my training. Price was a little higher that I normally pay for this kind of service but gladly paid it as the really helped me out of a bind. Good job guys! read more

I have done business with this store since the 1980s. I have bought tires shocks brakes and used many other of their services over that time. I have used them because I was under the notion that I could go almost anywhere in the state and get service from one of their stores for product and service consistency. I had a flat this weekend and made an appointment for them to fix it Monday AM first thing which they willingly did except when I got here they refused to fix the tire! The service man claimed the tire had cracks in the sidewall of it and it would be unsafe to fix so he refused. His manager also tho he never even looked at the tire but said that was the store policy. He wanted me to buy a new set of tires even when I still had enough tread for a while yet. I explained I couldn't afford another set of tires for a couple more months but he still refused. He did put on my spare but that's all. I went to Cooper tires here this morning and they repaired the tire. There was nothing wrong with it except the nail. I have pictures. I'm shocked and dismayed Schwab tried to pull this scam virtually forcing me to buy a new set of expensive tires (my last set was $1600 as I recall) on the spur of the moment and stranded as I was then. I will never go back after over 30 years as a loyal customer. The kind of smaller farm community like Yakima that company has built its business on is apparently gone. Sad. read more

Worst customer service plus after purchasing $1400 in snow tires a month and half before and now switching them over they changed me another $100 because the tire was over 18in don't go to this Les Schwab Tire Center the one off of 1st is way more accommodating and they don't hit you with surprise up charges. read more

We had a slow leak on our tire so decided to take our car here. Not only did they get us in and out under an hour without an appointment they repaired the tire for free!!!! Prompt service with a quick and easy resolution. I knew I definitely needed one tire, but I prepared myself for the sales pitch I was expecting. Not only was I wrong, but they actually made the experience pleasant and the wait actually feel endurable. I mentioned I had been planning to take my car in for service before moving out of state anyway, so if there was anything they thought I needed to do, I might as well do it now. When she brought me options for the tires, she showed me each and explained it all depended on what I was most concerned with. She used words like "endurance" while I replied with one of my favorite words: "Cheap." She smirked at me as she turned toward the back to place my order. No pressure, no speech, no nasty attitude. The customer wanted something inexpensive, so that's what they did. Even better she told me they'd checked the other things they could and I was going to be fine for the trip. It may seem like a small thing, but those are the minor details that really make a difference to people like me. I may have been cheap in my final decision, but nothing about the folks at Les Schwab made me feel that way. Even better, I felt a little safer. I am really upset. I went to Les Schwab on Yakima Ave and told them the steering wheel vibrated at speeds above 60 mph. They told me it was a wheel bearing going out and that I need an alignment. That was $677. The problem was not fixed, so I went back. They rode balanced the tires and told me I need new struts and bushings for $997. I decided to get a second opinion. I took it over to Stewart Subaru. The put the car on a lift...showed me that the struts were fine and told me it was not a wheel bearing going out, my rotors just needed to be turned....I think I will report this to the Better Business Bureau! read more

Came in to have a rock-punctured tire repaired. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. They repaired the tire, put the spare back into place, and there was no charge for repairing tires purchased from them. The shop was clean, and the staff was efficient and professional. They didn't tighten my lug nuts all the way! When I called to tell them, no apology!!!! We leave in a mountainous area with steep canyons and this could have ended very differently. Great Les Schwab! Went in here because there was a screw deep in our tire that needed to be pulled out by a professional (it would go flat if we tried). Les Schwab on S 1st said a wait of 90-120 minutes..hell no! Left and went here, it was only a 25-30 minute wait here for our car to be fixed up. They fixed the tire in about 10 minutes and put a plug in the tire. No charge because we had a Les Schwab-bought tire. Impressive service! Thanks Les Schwab! read more

Several months ago I went in to get my tire valve repaired. Got it repaired but the TPM sensor would not turn off after a week. Went back in , they said it needed to be replaced, i refused because my mechanic coworker told me that they probably broke it since it was fine before i went in. Two safety checks later I came in and they "find" another (different) tire TPM sensor that needs replacement. I purchase this because I am worried that my trip will not be safe if I don't. I come back for my trip to another Les Schwab in Ellensburg, turns out that same tire is low but since my TPM sensor has been on for months I was unaware of the low tire, I drove over 250 miles over the weekend. I come into another Les Schwab tire center on 1st because im frustrated with not knowing what is wrong. I go in to find that Les Schwab BROKE my TPM sensor the first time as suspected and WANTED ME TO PAY FOR IT?! When they fixed my valve they broke the ground connection hence no signal to the TPM. So now I suspect they TOOK ADVANTAGE of me because im young and woman by refusing to explain and properly evaluate why my sensor was not working and charged me for another TPM that might have needed no replacement. This is a safety issue because their negligence to provide me with a safe repair valve didn't allow me to be aware of a flat tire for SEVERAL MONTHS and wanted me to PAY for their MISTAKE without PROPERLY knowing what the issue was. I appreciated so much the way Matthew on 1st st in Yakima told me possible causes for what was happening but also helped explain how they broke the TPM and helped me get it replaced. I give him five stars for his excellent customer service and patience with working with me. read more

I'm a big fan of Les Schwab but they failed us this year. Called earlier this week to order snow tires for my wife's car. They said they would have them on the Saturday truck. My wife was there long before opening, once open, they hadn't ordered the tires, put the next size up with studs (we had ordered non-studded) and they failed to reset the pressure sensors. When my wife called and told them the sensors weren't working, they told her to drive around awhile (which was not accurate) and they would work. No go, it's a Chevy, they don't work that way. She called back again, they said she needed to go at least 10 miles (she'd done more than that) and bring it back next week if it was still a problem. I called the dealer, confirmed they were full of it, called the 1st street location, who agreed, and my wife made another trip out in the snow and that store did the configuration. I hate being lied to by a store, especially when we spent nearly $1000 with them, no apology, and they violated state law letting the car leave with inoperable sensors. read more
