The parking lot was full and the only spot for her to park was a tight angled spot that had to be reversed into. I naturally got out and asked my wife if she wanted me to do it to ease some stress from the situation. She said sure and I parked her car for her. The employees start making fun of her to each other while I go and park my car around the block. Saying "wow she can't park herself" and other rude comments. We drive away without saying anything. Get a call about 10 mins later with them saying "you told me 50 not 55 for the tire size, we don't have used tires in that size". When scheduling this tire change I read the tire size off the wheel to 2 separate employees and they still can't seem to get the tire size correct. Not only did they disrespect my wife right in front of her they can't even do their jobs right remembering one number. I understand human error but the disrespectful comments are over the line. So, I decided to visit Les Schwab Tire Center on 1st street in Yakima while I was visiting. I explained my concerns and was told they would assign someone to look at my brakes as soon as they could. Their store was swamped though. It looked like everyone picked that day to have work done on their cars!! I had to wait about an hour for someone to look at my truck. That's how busy they were! Thankfully they had a little waiting area with a tv tuned to American Ninja Warrior, free popcorn, and a drink and snack vending machines. Eventually an employee sought me out to explain that my brakes were ok. They were just heating up. I was also informed that my rear brakes were getting close to needing a replacement , but the front brakes were ok. For now. I was very impressed that they didn't try to talk me into any repairs and were straightforward with me. I will seek out a Les Schwab when it is time for me to replace my brakes!

Before leaving Les Schwab I asked if they checked the tire pressure in my back 4 tires. The guy said he hadn't checked the tire pressure in the back tires. Turns out I had a destroyed tire on the inside of the dual wheel in back that I was unaware of. I was about to leave a tire shop with a very dangerous situation that should have been caught. We were going to drive a winding mountain road to Mount Rainier. The manager did not apologize or give an excuse but was happy to sell me 4 more tires.

My car died while I was driving it and had it towed here…read more After 4 hours of diagnostics and $600 later, Darrell told me he found metal in my oil and it'd need a new engine (basically it was done for as it wouldn't have been worth an engine replacement). Knowing to never trust a mechanic I do not know, I got a second opinion. Darrell hadn't even drained the oil that he said he found metal in and no metal was found in it when it was drained. I've truly never met a shoddier mechanic. Sounds like he can do some minor air conditioner repairs from the reviews I've seen, but figured I'd give a real review of his diagnostics. By the way, all my vehicle needed was some new spark plugs and ignition coils, under $200 repair. It's running smoothly and definitely has years before it'll need trashed. Don't go to this guy unless you want to waste money and potentially be out a whole car. If you want a good recommendation, go to Auto Care Experts in Yakima.

They had to use another jack to lift my car off the first jack. This one slipped in the GRAVEL and dented my front fender to the point where the passenger door would not open! I called to speak with them and was told, "just pull it in here and I will fix it." I refused of course, so Todd said, "Take it up with my insurance." When we contacted their insurance it turns out they gave us their personal auto insurance information instead of a business insurance...so we were forced to take them to small claims court. What a nightmare...how do they work under no insurance??? Word is not good my friends...be careful out there.

Now this happened on a Sunday, universally understood as the worst day to get a flat as nobody is open to help and even our insurance wanted to tow the car somewhere for it to be fixed the next day. Since they are new, run-flat, and that towing option seemed like a hassle, she just extended her stay in Sunnyside for a day and resolved to pump some air into the tire, run it down to the nearest place that could repair/replace it, then come home. Thank GOD Commercial Tire was the closest place. Despite being behind a large municipal construction project which block direct street access, the folks at Commercial Tire were in good spirits and everyone greeted her, and was solicitous of her situation. They took the car back and took a look at the tire. Turns out it was a big screw. We were prepared to replace at least two of the tires but the people at Commercial Tire repaired the tire, brought the car around, and then wished my wife a happy day. No charge. It is rare enough these days to have a business so completely committed to excellent customer service, but to have the grace to just lend a hand to someone having a bad day, that's a great business and worthy of your consideration.
