My check transmission light was on in our 2010 Fusion so I thought, "If I bring my Ford to a Ford dealership I will get timely knowledgeable service"....wrong. I brought the car to Les Stumpf on Wednesday evening so they would have it for a Thursday AM scheduled appontment. Well, they couldn't figure out what was wrong so they pushed it into Friday.....still couldn't figure out what was wrong and said it would be the following week. Then they want to charge me for 2 hours of diagnostics when they found absolutely nothing. They have the car for two days and worked on it for two hours?!? Now obviously their time is more important than mine as the put other jobs in front of my car which was already in. I picked it up and brought it to a transmition shop who diagnosed the problem and repaired it in short order. Now Stumpf wants me to pay for 2 hours of "service" which obviously doesn't make me happy knowing they pushed me off for two plus days and found absolutely nothing. I signed a document saying I would pay up to $100 for inspection/repair so I was on the hook. They did begrudgingly reduce the price by $50 but not without insinuating that I was not doing business in good faith! read more

I recently bought a certified used 2013 Ford Explorer in October of 2014. In January, I brought it into the service department for engine squealing problems and paint issues on the hood. They couldn't find anything wrong with the engine, they did repaint the hood, but they never buffed it out and later told me to come back a different day. Next, I brought the car into the service department in April of 2015 for engine noises. It was fixed with a serpentine belt. Talked with Jim about issues I was having with the car slowing down by itself. It would slow down every time I took the foot off the gas, without pressing down on the brake. Then Jim proceeds to tell me that its normal for new cars to do that because the car knows its coming up to a stop sign. In June of 2015, brakes locked up coming off the highway. I brought it into the service department the next day and were told that the brakes were fine. I was told that the warranty doesn't cover these issues, but I had to replace the rotors, brakes, and calibers. Argued with them and was then told they would pick up the price of the brakes, but was then told that the rotors and calibers. Finally, in November of 2015 still having issues with the engine noises and brakes. The dashboard also quit working. I brought it into the service department the next day. The dashboard came back on and I was told nothing was wrong with it. The brake issue is now a rotten parking brake cable and the serpentine belt had to be replaced again. My suggestion, is to never buy a Ford from Les Stumpf Ford! read more

I signed up online for a service appointment. After waiting a week I showed up and they told me that the online service tool doesn't work. They said it's not worked for years, so they must have this situation happen all the time. They didn't offer to squeeze me in the next day or do anything to try to help me out. Service department is very inadequate rude and very disrespectful to their guests. I have bought 3 vehicles form them but last experience was the last straw. I bout a 2018 focus hatchback three weeks ago and I now reside in Milwaukee but still decided to do be a devoted clients and buy My third vehicle from them A week later I noticed the horn and the alarm did not work so I set up an appointment with them explain to them what was wrong I took my car in waited for over an hour in the waiting room no one came to get me and when I finally went and asked what was going on they said they didn't have the part and we were going to look for it and maybe was even going to be the next day before they could get it now mind you I do live in Milwaukee and I came up there purposely for this appointment So the very rudely gave me a piece of paper with the part that was needed so I could get it at a different dealership in Milwaukee where I live so I did set up another appointment with another dealer in the Milwaukee area giving them the piece of paper that les stump Ford had given me with the part number on it however that was the wrong part number also and I had to wait another week to come to the different dealer that I am at now in order to have it installed. Rude customer service. Took my car in for fluids to be topped off and the service man told me they don't have this type of service. He took my key and threw it to the side and said you will have an hour wait. I asked him to label the key as mine he put a white tag on it and put it aside. I politely picked my key up and labeled it myself. I told him how rude he was. I finally got service and a code for a free car wash. read more

Made an appointment for an oil change, Left my business and went strait there, I backed in a parking stall and went in. 1/2 hour later it was done. Was told I could get a free car wash at their used car lot, very nice. Drove home and backed in my driveway and my back sensors on my truck was going off. Thought there might be ice on bumper from wash. NOPE! there was a dent in my bumper and a crack in my back light cover. I have cameras at my business, so I checked the tape and there was no damage to my truck before going there. Went back and showed them the picture from my cameras, They said it didn't happen here. I asked to see their cameras, was told they don't have any. I even asked Corey to come to my place to show him my cameras to prove there was no damage to my truck before coming there for my oil change, but he said he has no time for me. I went straight there and back home, not stopping at all. They were the only ones to drive my truck other than me. The damage done to my truck is $1700.00, have to replace my bumper, sensor, top cover on bumper, and new tail light. They were very rude in a nice way. My review is a year old however the experience is still bothering me so here goes. In 2013 I leased an Explorer from Les Stumpf. When the lease came due I realized the value was at least $5000.00 more than the buy out. I explained to Brian, my original sales person, that I wished to purchase the explorer. He tried incredibly hard to convince me to just turn it in and lease a new one. Even when so far as to say buying it would be the dumbest thing I could do. I explained to him he had the exact truck on the lot for $8000.00 more than what my buy out would be. He told me the price they have on their vehicles is irrelevant. How could it be irrelevant? That is the market price since that is what they are selling for. My opinion is they were trying to make a quick 5K off of me. I have shared my experience and will never return. read more

We recently purchased a 2011 Escape Limited from this dealership. Last July we purchased a 2010 Focus. In both cases our salesperson, Jason Finneran was wonderful! He went out of his way to get us exactly what we wanted, he is knowledgeable, and just an all around great guy to work with. There was an issue with the vehicle which required service work. Jason came to our house, picked up the vehicle, and when the work was done returned the vehicle to our house. This is one classy salesperson I would recommend working with to anyone!!! However, the sales/finance person, Michael Moore is best described as a snake oil salesmen working at a car dealership. First off he told us the 66 month flex buy program was not available to us, this was after we made sure it was approximately 7 days before picking up the vehicle. He then offered a 63 month contract, which Ford Credit rejected, and it took 10 days for Michael to contact us stating our financing was null and void. Then when it came time for Michael to sell us the "cash cow accessories" he is supposed to peddle to every customer he told us a $1200 extended (bumper to bumper with deductible) warranty would only cost us approximately $7 a month extra. When my wife and I questioned him on what the actual payment per month would be without the warranty, since he had already just assumed we would buy the thing and had all the paperwork printed out, he hemmed and hawed for a few seconds and then just kind of mumbled.... $7 less per month. We were planning on getting the warranty anyways, but knew full well this guy was pulling a fast one on us with the actual dollar amount. Anyone with basic math skills can figure out without a calculator that $1200/63 is not anywhere near $7. It is much closer to $19, as my wife and I planned on it would add about $20 a month to the loan. Then this idiot never went over loan gap, life, or accidental death insurance. It was not a big deal since we never take that stuff out anyways, but it goes to show how incompetent this guy really is. As we were getting ready to leave we remembered the included service contract we were supposed to get included with the vehicle. It was a promotion the dealership was offering with all purchases. Michael just happened to forget about that as well. So after questioning our salesperson, Jason Finneran, he went back into Michael Moore's office and got our service contract paperwork filled out for us. So 10 days after they delivered the vehicle to us, Michael Moore calls us on a Saturday and states that Ford Credit rejected out application due to an invalid term (which he gave us) and that we could only do 60 months now. The following Monday morning I spoke with Corey Stumpf, regarding our experience and issue dealing with Michael Moore, who now just happened to be on vacation for a week. Corey's attitude was horrendous while speaking to him. He was confrontational, did not seem to appreciate our repeat business (2 cars in less than a year), and was questioning why we bought the vehicle. The other person who handles financing/sales paperwork, Brent, knows what is going on and was able to get us the 66 month flex buy loan we initially thought we were getting. We dealt with Brent when we bought our 2010 Focus last July and had absolutely no issues. However in the future I am not sure I will bring my 2 new vehicles back to the dealership for any kind of service work. This entire experience dealing with Michael Moore and Corey Stumpf has me concerned with how their Service Department might try to bend me over. I was impressed with Gary Cyr when I made my purchase in October. He was patient and listened to my needs and essentially gave me a fair price on the auto and my trade in as he knew I had brought in comps on similiar vehicles in the area. He knew I had done my homework and also knew I could purchase the vehicle the same day so he was willing to work with me. Brent Erickson did a good job with the purchase paperwork and explained the warranty to me in detail. However when my car broke down less than 30 days later that warranty didn't matter. I am a single mother with a toddler and was sitting in my car in 10 degree weather with no heat or electricity and when I called Gary Cyr he acted like he didn't know me and transferred me to the service department. The service department wouldn't come get me because they were closing soon according to them. It was 4pm, they close at 5pm. The battery in my car was junk. Wouldn't charge at all and looked like it had been taken out of a junk vehicle according to my mechanic. Then in December I called their service department because I had no heat in my vehicle. I reminded them I had a warranty. Yes I realize the "special terms" to these warranties, but really you added a gallon of antifreeze and charged me $110 less than 2 months after I purchased this car. Gary Cyr sent me a Christmas card, but it would have been nicer if he would have called me the day after I called him in distress about my car breaking down and asked me if I got to work ok. I am not impressed with the service of this place and realize now I am only a check to this company. read more

I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and asked them to make an extra key and check the brakes. They wouldn't check the brakes (quick service) unless they rotated the tires, so I said ok to rotate the tires. I also said that I seem to have headlamp bulbs out and asked them to look. I left the vehicle there and they called and told me how much the brakes would cost and they needed replacing. However, when I picked up the car they did the oil change, did the brakes, but the headlamp was still not working. I looked at my paperwork and there was no mention of the headlamp, so I went back inside and the gal said yeah, its a wiring issue and you will need to make an appointment to have this done. They did the brakes, why couldn't they have told me that when they called about the brakes? Couldn't they have fixed it at the time they did the brakes? Why wouldn't they have told me on either my paperwork or in the call? I had to ask why my lights are not working and then they said something. read more

I would not recommend anybody to spend there hard earn money here. I had my truck in at les stumpf ford's body shop for a $6,000 insurance repair and thought I would pay an extra $350 to fix a small rust spot on rear wheel well. They just chipped a little rust out and bondoed over the top of it. When I came to pick it up they lied and claimed it was patched correctly, And told me if I have any issues in the next 6 months bring it back. Long story short, 3 months later it cracks out on me and they give me the run around wanting more money to do a job that should have been done correctly the first time. Since it is such a pain to deal with there poor customer service I am now looking to have it repaired at a different shop. Don't get ripped off like I did! read more

I purchased my 2015 Ford Taurus last Tues night. Wed I saw on TV and online that Ford was making an update free to 5 million previous buyers for the SYNC program. It allowed you to use Siri in the car. As we were leaving for several months for CA, I wanted to get this update. I went on the Ford website and spent 2 days trying to get it to work with a USB, following the instructions exactly. It kept giving me an error message. I called Ford several times and the people there said there was something wrong with my computer. I used 2 Apple computers, and my next door neighbor's PC. All 3 gave me the error message. I finally called Les Stumpf and asked to speak to service. The lady who answered said she had NO idea what I was talking about, but I could bring it in and they would look at it for $95. I asked to speak to the General Manager. I got Corey Stumpf's voicemail. I left an explanation. I then asked to talk to a HUMAN. I got someone who identified himself as the Conflict Resolution Manager. I explained to him the whole situation. He even Googled the update and said Yes, there it was! He said Ford had not told them. He said he would get back to me. He later called back and said I could bring it in, but it would take several hours. My son than came over and told me the online directions were wrong and the 2nd step wasn't to be used. He skipped it, it downloaded, and within 20 minutes my car was updated. I then called Stumpf back and again was given Corey Stumpf's voicemail. I have YET to hear back from him. After several more calls to Ford, they insisted the update was given to Fors dealers 2 weeks prior, so they could update cars currently in their inventory, and ANY update was to be done FREE as long as car was in warranty. Before I got it installed myself, I also called Bergstrom Ford in Neenah and they were glad to do it for free. All in all, I am sorry I now purchased this car from them. Their service department is obviously not up to date, and none of the people I talked to cared to help. Corey doesn't even return your call. As much as I can't stand Bergstrom, at least they try to help. read more

I bought a brand new F-150 from Les Stump in 2012. My truck started to give me troubles in 2014. The service engine light would come on and the truck would shake like a leaf. The second time this happened I took the truck to the service center. I spoke with Mike on the phone who said even though the service engine soon light was not on, they could run the code and he would know what it is and would call me before doing anything. I dropped off the truck in the morning before they opened. At noon I called to see if they found anything out and was informed by Kim that they were diagnosing it and it would cost me $93-$95/hour and they were driving it around on the highway. I told her I was not quoted anything and was told I would be called before any work took place. She kept quoting the same rate and saying she could have them stop and they wouldn't diagnose the truck. Finally I asked for her manager, a man named Bob who said he was the Service Manager. He said it was $69.99 for them to hook it up to their computer. I again stated I was not quoted anything and he said you are out of your warranty (truck has 45,000 miles) so we charge for diagnosis. He was extremely ruse. I then asked to speak to his manager Cory Stumpf. Cory called back and I explained the situation about not being told there would be a charge to run the code, then being told $93-$95/hr and then being told $69.99. He said we'll pick $69.99 because it's lower than $95! I asked him if he was willing to lose a customer over $69.99 and he said yes and was extremely rude. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I was able to take my Ford Truck to a Chevrolet Dealer who diagnosed it for free and was friendly and knowledgable. read more

I went to get my car fixed because I was hearing the noise over $1500 later and having my SUV all day long I had to find a ride witch they didn't inform me of because they gave me a ride home I got a ride picked it up then less then 5 days later my SUV started stalling and started on fire then towed it back to them because I thought they would take responsibility and fix my car instead they charge me over $500 more in repairs to find that that wasn't the problem either and then wanted me to spend $900 on a different problem when I told them no stop I'm not forking out any more then when I told them I wanted the parts to prove something was fixed then they decided to cover the $567 that they wanted me to pay so what did they actually fix at all I was totally taken advantage of I have always took my SUV there trusting in them never again my SUV came out in worse shape then what it went in at and now have a car payment thanks to them I will never go back again! read more
