We just finished our pool renovation using Sun Blue Pools and had a great experience. We heard of…read morethe horror stories that people had with pool contractors in the past and I was kind of apprehensive with starting such a big project. We decided to do a complete renovation, new diamond brite, new decking, a sun shelf addition and a relocation of our pool pump system. We have had multiple quotes, from multiple companies, but we made our final decision based of positive referrals. We were told that the job would start within 2 weeks of signing the contract and that the job would take 4-6 weeks to be completed and swimmable. This was partially incorrect, as the job started immediately and completed under 4 weeks. We were impressed with the craftsmanship with the team at Sun Blue. They made the experience very low stress. We've had bad experiences in the past on projects where the contractors never kept us in the loop with the status of the work being done, but Sun Blue kept us informed every step of the way. It was refreshing to get daily phone calls from their team letting us know the schedule for the day or following days. We had workers on site practically everyday and if they weren't, we were told in advance. This practice is what every homeowner looks for in a company. When the job was completed, one of the owners came by for a final walkthrough to see if we had any issues before receiving the final payment. In prior experiences, the final payment meant that if there were any future issues that the contractors wouldn't pick up the phone or return phone calls once they got paid. Not Sun Blue. We've been in contact with one of the owners, Alan, a couple times since and he's even stopped by a couple of times to consult with us on a couple of issues, none directly related with their work. That is why they came so highly recommended and it is why they deserve a 5 star rating. I will definitely be using them for my future projects and will gladly refer them to friends and family.

The quality of the work and the communication were both outstanding. If we had any questions or concerns, the entire team was attentive to our topic and worked quickly to address it. Also, their after-construction support has been just as great with a super focus on customer satisfaction. Thank you Sun Blue Pools!!

On Sunday morning my pool was completely green. I took a sample to the store and had them test. The pool had no chlorine in it at all. I offered to take the chlorine home and put it in myself as I have a pending pool party on Memorial Day Monday. my monthly fee already included my chemicals. Jacob did not seem to care and charged me $30 for 3 gallon jugs of chlorine. I told him I did not think that was right that he was making me pay twice. He said there was nothing they could do. So I bought the chlorine because I had no choice, and I canceled my pool service effective immediately

Owning a pool in South Florida is basically agreeing to take on a second job you never applied for…read more One day the water looks like a luxury resort. The next day you're standing outside in flip-flops staring at algae like a disappointed parent asking, "How did we get here?" So there I was heading to Pinch A Penny on Wiles Road in Coral Springs, armed with optimism, confusion, and vague memories of what size filter my pool actually uses. I needed a new filter, advice on a suction issue with my pool vac, and probably emotional support after realizing algae season had officially clocked back in for another year. First surprise: they renovated. Walking in felt like one of those sitcom episodes where the family comes home and somebody remodeled the entire house while they were away. Nothing was where my brain insisted it should be. I wandered around for a minute looking like a man searching for the produce section in Home Depot. But the place looks good. Cleaner layout, brighter, organized... like somebody finally admitted pool stores don't have to feel like abandoned warehouses full of chlorine fumes and regret. Now here's where things got humbling. I could not remember the size of my filter. In fairness to me, pool filters somehow look twice as large when you're pulling them out covered in water and debris while questioning your life choices. Once they're inside a clean little box on a shelf, suddenly they shrink like vacation leftovers in the refrigerator. Thankfully Michael stepped in. Not only was he patient, but he actually looked up my previous purchases and guided me directly to the correct filter. He even reassured me that if he was wrong, I could bring it back. Spoiler alert: he was not wrong. I got home, opened everything up, and realized the employees at Pinch A Penny apparently know my pool better than I do at this point. Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if Michael could identify my filter size from a police sketch. The advice was solid. The service was helpful. The store looks great after the renovation. And most importantly, I walked out feeling slightly less like a suburban pool owner being psychologically defeated by water chemistry. Four stars.
