I joined to swim, and the pool itself is excellent. The problem is what happens right before people get in: no one showers. I've seen people go straight from the basketball court, still schvitzing, into the jacuzzi (ew!). I've even seen lifeguards hop in without rinsing off. When even the referees aren't following the rules, as stated on the sign there, it's not a great sign. All this isn't exactly appetizing. I've lived abroad and traveled quite a bit, and there's a cultural aspect to this. In France, skipping the pre-swim shower is unthinkable. In Iceland, someone actually supervises your scrub-down before you're allowed into the hot pots. In Mexico City, where I swim in a private gym akin to the JCC, it's definitely enforced. In Japan--forget about it. I've raised this three times with Steve Miller, the director of health and wellness. His view is that they add enough chlorine to kill the germs and that people should know better, but there's no real way to enforce it--lifeguards need to watch the pool, not police showering. (Though they do other distracted things like testing the water.) His proposed solution has been new signage--but who knows when? And I'm skeptical a sign will succeed where social norms have failed. It comes down to education. Most people in the pool where caps, for instance. Why? That's what they were told. So, why not tell them to shower? It's simply a matter of priorities, which this doesn't seem to be. Maybe I'm the only one who cares--based on the evidence, that might be true. But for a place that does so many things right, this one issue, for me, is hard to ignore.

Great all-round facility with gyms, ball courts, pool, fitness center plus many programs for kids,…read moreseniors, adults, memory loss seniors, etc. Well maintained by tremendous staff of janitors.

RUN the worse pool company from installation to maintenance…read more pool had a leak from day one and the maintence is a nightmare too many issues to list you would be better off getting a blow up pool than using this company

What a NIGHTMARE! I…read morestarted this yelp post last year and I didn't post it, in the event Swim Clean decided to do me right. Well they never attempted to fix the problem and do not return phone calls so there's nothing left to do but to warn others in hopes this doesn't happen to anyone else! Here's what happened... My pool was build by Swim Clean 2013-2014, during construction I was asked if I wanted an automatic cover. I was told if I had an automatic cover it would keep my pool cleaner when it's not in use and it would make opening and closing the pool a breeze since I don't have to deal with those heavy loop lock covers. I agreed and this expensive addition was installed. Fast forward summer of 2015 was the first season we opened the pool We noticed the pool was loosing 1" -1.5" of water each day, I've never had a pool before but this didn't seem right. I called the company to let them know my findings and they asked me to use tape and mark the water level and to check back in 24/hrs which I did and confirmed my findings were accurate. They came to look at the pool a couple weeks later and the owner Mark insisted the pool wasn't leaking. He told me it was normal to lose this much water. How can it be normal if my infinity edge never has enough water flowing over and I need to keep adding water so the infinity edge would work? Also during that time I notice the remote they gave me wasn't working. Mark told me the antenna was broken so they replaced it and sent me a bill for around $100? I asked them to PLEASE come fix the leak. I'll pay the antenna bill when the leak fixed... PLEASE JUST COME HELP ME FIX THE LEAK! We end up going back and forth about the water leakage for months, then the weather got cold. They told me to close the pool and we will deal with the leak next season after opening, but guess what because of the water loss the automatic pooI cover would sink in because there was no water underneath to support it so if there was a little rain or snow the cover would sink down low almost breaking it. THEN! they suggested I buy a loop lock cover which they sent me a quote for. Super expensive costing 50% more then the next person I got a quote from. Needless to say I had it installed by the other company which did a GREAT JOB for half the price. I just needed things to not get worse before the next spring right? Fast forward after opening 2016 for the ENTIRE season I left messages, e-mailed, texted! NO RESPONSES. Mark the owner was very responsive when I had a check for him back then but now??? now that everything is paid I can't even get a return phone call back?? I AM DISGUSTED!! I paid this company THOUSANDS of dollars to build me a pool and I PAID ON TIME at that. I CAN'T BELIEVE their customer service! Building a leaking pool and refusing to fix the leak???? During the entire 2016 summer I hired another pool cleaning company to maintenance the pool, it kept leaking, I kept adding water, they kept shocking and adding a lot of salt to the pool each week because of all the fresh water being added. My maintenance guys confirmed there was def a leak it wasn't normal and that the builder of the pool should really come fix it. Problem is they won't come fix it so there's nothing I can do but to try to find another company right? I did that and I had other companies come take a look and each company said the same thing, "you have multiple problems going on here".... Basically they don't want to even get involved in it, FRUSTRATING! 2016 getting cold again closed the pool. Fast forward now summer of 2017, I tried one more time to call Swim Clean. I begged Debbie their secretary to help me, please have Mark call me but I still haven't heard back from them and at this point I give up, they win, they don't and wont fix their mess so there's nothing I can do, but what I can do is save someone else in hopes this doesn't happen to them too. So DO NOT LET ME BE YOU, do yourself a favor and use another company, do your OWN research. Don't trust other contractors references! go online, read the reviews from other customers! Skim through the good reviews, usually when there are 10 reviews and it's all 5 stars it's usually the owner and their employees. Read all the bad reviews see if what they are saying is consistent! Good luck out there! DON'T LET ME BE YOU! I have pictures I've been taking of the leaking issue throughout this entire ordeal, I'll dig everything up and post them as soon I can!
