We purchased another home in 2017 that already had a Valley pools, saltwater pool installed when…read morethe house was built in 2014. The Valley pool is the same size as our Dolphin built pool. Comparing the design and equipment between the two pools, I see that the Dolphin pool I had at my other home was much better design and parts. The more I learn and live with my Valley Pool the more I wish I had my Dolphin Pool. I now see why Dolphin was a bit more in cost. Having said that, my Valley pool is ok. It does the job and from a resale perspective, I didn't get anymore out of my old house because of the type of pool I had.

Just venting. Went to Home Depot today in Madison…read more Sign has been up for about a month stating loropetalum and other shrubs are half price. Sign even says if priced at this, you pay this...Load cart up and proceed to check out inside as garden center is closed. lady at checkout says she's not aware of any sale, I have to prove to her that plants are on sale. I need to talk to someone in the garden center. I go to back to the garden center and the 2 guys there tell me I have to back outside and get the sign showing they are on sale and take it back to indoor check out. I do that... they are not convinced that sign belongs to those plants. The guys in the garden center (who have the plants in trying to buy) call someone else. He says in this instance he will make an exception and honor the price I'm stating. They want me to go back into the store, walk back to the garden center, get the plants and the sign and go back to cashier. They tell me they're not their plants, they belong to a third party vendor and they can't just give them away ! They didn't give them away. I left.

The store is well stocked, clean (it is new) and the customer service is very friendly. They want to help, but they are constrained. Customer service, including the manager, is not authorized to make the customer happy with actions that are commonplace and expected elsewhere. I spent 15 minutes analyzing things to figure out what I wanted to buy as an impact socket set that I need this afternoon. I finally settled on one of the blue Inside Track Club items because that was by far the best deal for me. I am a member of their inside track club, but the socket set rang up as a regular priced item. I went back and removed the blue tag from the shelf and brought it to the cashier. The manager was called, who inspected the fine print and concluded that the discount had expired 7/31 (today was 8/6) and they had just failed to remove the advertisement from the shelf...for a week, They "were not authorized" to adjust the price. In other words, the store manager doesn't have the discretion and authority at the store level to make things right. I've never been to a big brick and mortar store that had this policy and wouldn't honor something on the shelf like that. Trying to help my feelings they told me I could come back next weekend to their tent sale and buy it that way. I don't need it in two weeks...I need it today and had my hopes up. Is that $20 really worth leaving a bitter taste in a long time customer's mouth? It really isn't about the $20...but more about how they handled it. Evidently the $20 was more important to corporate, though...two stars for corporate limitations and rigid policy that doesn't allow the local store to make right on their mistake.

With the cold weather coming in my husband decided he needed to repair his mother's Delta faucet…read more We went to her house to check the faucet out and determine whether my mother-in-law would be able to drip water the next few days when the lows are below 15. Hubs determined the cartridge in the kitchen faucet needed to be replaced. He disassembled the faucet and off we went to Lowe's to buy a replacement. He purchased the cartridge last time at Lowe's. We get inside the store and there are no Delta cartridges in stock. Hubs becomes grumpy. He looks at Home Depot's website and their site says they have 7 in stock. Off we go to Home Depot. Once inside we find the aisle and bin. Except there are no cartridges. I find a Home Depot employee who scans the area and checks online. He says sometimes their numbers are off. We look for several minutes and do not find the cartridges. By now my husband is fuming. I knew not to tell him he should have researched inventory but that wouldn't help this situation since HD's website said they have 7 in stock. He thanks the HD employees as a second one joined to look for the 7 cartridges and we leave. I tell him we should go to Weathers Ace Hardware. We have nothing to lose at this point. Hubs checks their website and they have 2 in stock. Off we go again. I like this store. They have a little bit of most things. A nice employee, Ed, walked up and asked if we need help. Hubs showed him the cartridge and Ed took us right to the plumbing aisle and found the cartridge immediately. I was impressed how efficient Ed was. He said another customer had bought the same cartridge today. Hubs was smiling and off we were to my MIL's to put the new cartridge in. Pro Tip: it might be a good idea to check availability of parts before starting a task. :) Thank you to Weathers Ace Hardware for being conveniently located off Bailey Cove. They had outdoor faucet covers along with lots of other things for winterizing. There are friendly employees available to help. Please stop by and check out the store.

There was absolutely no change in their customer service, still horrible. Again, I thought the old guy was dead but when I walked out of the store at 3:03 he was slowly shuffling to his car. I believe in giving everyone a chance, but this old guy needs to stay home. I saw four employees this time and again no one spoke a work to me. No one wanted to make eye contact or care to smile. I can say that the store is always clean and neat that maybe because they have no customers. I can also say, from my last two visits that management/owner has no clue how to hire employees or he pays poorly and zombies are all that meets the job requirement. The zombies will starve there.

U-Pack was very accommodating with the drop off and pickup dates, which allowed me to schedule loaders and unloaders around some rainy days.
