Despite the apparent helpfulness of the employees I cannot recommend the Leslie's on Barton Rd. In Redlands. I asked them to service my pool vacuum. Although they said they would call when the service was complete, they never followed through. When I finally checked back with them, they assured me the problem was solved. I quickly learned how shoddy their repairs were. Come to find out the vacuum was returned with missing parts. Two screws were missing and another had been stripped, so while they did disassemble the unit, they never bothered to replace the screws, yet they still charged me for the parts. Whether they are dishonest or just incompetent I can't tell, but I will never do business with them again. read more

We usually come here for a quick water check, even though we have the strips ourselves. Our alkalinity was low and the rep suggested we purchase their Alkalinity Up for $12. I declined, stating I'd use baking soda. He said he wouldn't recommend using baking soda for whatever reason so trusting his guidance, we purchased the product. But when we looked up what the product actually contained, it contained baking soda. He sold us 2lbs of baking soda for $12. Incredibly dishonest. read more

This place's assistant manager, Shantay, is amazing. She goes out of her way to find the most efficient and affordable solution for all pool problems. When my Polaris was out, she made extra efforts to find the best solution for it and fixed it on the same day. I would recommend this place. read more

I absolutely DREAD going to my local Leslie's pool supply store in Moreno Valley & I will try my best to go ANYWHERE ELES then the Moreno Valley Leslie's. I never get asked if I need any help (even if I'm the only 1 in the store) until I'm literally walking out. The owner or present manager has never really been of any help either when I have asked for his help. I'm almost always referred to the Riverside Leslie's pool supply whenever I have gone to the Moreno Valley Leslie's. ACADEMY POOL SUPPLY has actually been VERY helpful (& 1/2 the $) compared to my lical nightmare Leslie's. When I go to other places & they tell me to try Leslie's and I explain to them why I don't want to every single one of them had said " oh, I understand, that's not the 1st time I've heard something like that about them. (Moreno Valley Leslie's) So, obviously, it's a known fact locally that they fail in the customer service department. read more

When I told her my current pool pump broke and I was worried my pool would turned green if I did not replace the pump quickly, she made sure to personally contact installation team, insuring a quick delivery and installation of my pump and filter. Terrible service and experience with this Company. They did not quote the service call correctly and when I asked the tech, he told me a story. That story cost them the opportunity to fix my pool pump and by offering a HP that was too high for the old plumbing I once again spoke up and was told another story about how it would be correct for my pool. Sorry, I had it done for much less money and the correct size pump and HP was installed. Never use them again! read more

Pool maintenance services were spotty and inconsistent. This led us to having to care for our pool. We tried the two local pool shops and Leslie's has become our go to! I bring a sample by and get a recipe on what to do to correct problems and/or maintain balance. Super good customer service and always friendly. Supply costs are reasonable and carted to my vehicle for my convenience. Our pool stays perfect with the weekly recommendations and that means happy kids and happy parents! Kevin is the sales manager at the Leslie's in Redlands. He is super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. After bad experiences with local pool service companies, I decided to bite the bullet and take care of my pool myself. Kevin spent the better part of an hour with me, explaining the basics of managing pool chemistry and going over the products I would need. He performed Leslie's free in-depth (no pun intended) water test and took the time to go over the results in detail. The water test results confirmed my suspicion that I had been getting bogus information and advice from my old pool maintenance company. Long story short, Kevin gave me an excellent crash course to get me off on the right foot doing my own pool maintenance. Kevin also got me set up with Leslie's smartphone app, which allows me to enter my pool size data and then based on test results I enter, recommends how much of each chemical to add to rebalance the water chemistry. The app also allows me to track my test results over time. Very useful. Kevin is a solid resource for good information and I really like his attitude. He seems to genuinely want to help people. I also checked Leslie's prices. They are reasonably competitive, especially if you order on-line and in quantity. read more

We have an above ground pool he told us to use chlorine tablets and a month later when an employee told us that is thee wrong thing to do with an above ground pool he recanted saying he never said that BUT HE IS THE ONLY MALE THAT WORKS THERE AND HE LIED JUST TO GET US TO BUY PRODUCTS. Wow, I do not understand these reviews. This is the Redlands Leslie's, right? I have had nothing but an amazon experience with these guys. Namely Michael. I think that's his name. Younger kid, very knowledgeable, helpful and extremely courteous. Everyone here has been equally pleasant to deal with. My first time here was last summer. We had just purchased our home with our first pool and didn't know what to do. After failed attempts at hiring a maintenance person, I went to this Leslie's. Michael sold me on the idea of doing it all myself. Said it was easy and less expensive in the long run. He didn't try to sell me on everything at once though. He told me to take small quantities and try it out. If I don't want to do it, I will not have wasted a ton of money and if I decide it's easy enough, then I can come back and load up. They didn't try to sell me on more junk than needed either! From day one all intake home is shock and the weekly additive. We have purchased our pool skimmer thing here along with about 20ft if additional hose, all of our chemicals and a few other miscellaneous things. Sure walking out the door can be a few hundred dollars in chemicals, but your set for the year. I'd much rather shell out $400 today rather than $120 a month on the guy who doesn't even show up. I called two places today about filling up my pool after the acid wash. The first company said to bring a water sample and that I'll likely need a few chemicals to get everything back in balance. I then called Leslie's who told me our water is usually pretty good. I'll need to double up on my regular chlorine and add some conditioner. Too easy. As usual, these guys don't try to oversell or up sale a bunch of junk. They're all about the customer. read more

Just visited Leslie's in Redlands and we were greeted immediately and asked if we needed any help. Being that we are first time avoided the ground pool owners, we didn't know where to start with chemicals. I don't remember the young mans name but he was very helpful, gave us the run down on the maintenance and care of our pool. Even though we bought our chemicals towards the end of summer, we were told how to store them so they'll last like they're supposed to. The items I got were a bit pricey, but the help & knowledge we received from the young man surely made up for the bill. Will definitely be going back! read more

Quick in out visit just to pick up a few things, very polite new exactly what I needed

Just returned from a horrible, horrible experience at this location. I had bought a small basketball, two curly noodles and two straight long noodles for the pool 10 days ago. I was told by my two adult sons that this was the wrong choice so I decided to return the merchandise within the 14 day return policy, and in mint condition in it's original packing (never having taken the ball out of the packing) and with all the stickers and tags attached. The items never touched water. There was only one salesperson available so I patiently waited my turn and as soon as he saw I had a return he gave me a look and an attitude that told me I wasn't welcome in the store. Then he went on to to ask me why I was returning the items. He exclaimed "come on why the noodles" in a sarcastic, derogatory tone. I explained to him that it was the wrong choice and hence the return. A whole discussion ensued which deteriorated into a heated argument, him indicating to me that I had used the items and me telling him to look carefully at them because I had not used the merchandise. He said he has had many a customer pull this on him and he was just treating me like any other. What kind of business management and training did this jerk receive, I wonder, if this is how he treats ALL customers. He then informed me that he would only be able to do an exchange or give me store credit, which I didn't want. I had my receipt, I was within the 14 day return period, the merchandise had not been used and was in its original packing with labels, tags, etc in tact. At this, I became furious but still kept my calm and told him I didn't need or want the items and if he couldn't return with a full refund, I was going to leave everything in the store and just walk out. It was only $40 + change and I was willing to donate it back to the store. He must've then realized he couldn't push me anymore and he decided to return my purchase. I have never before in my life had such a degrading shopping experience - never, ever!!! He treated me like I was an absolute dishonest customer. Another customer in the store witnessed the entire episode and told me he felt the salesperson was an A - - - H O L E. I have shopped at this location for the past 12 years, and have been registered in their system (which after today I regret), and have never been treated this way. I felt completely insulted and was shaking from being so upset. The sales associate's name was MATT and he was the store MANAGER!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE EVER. read more

I called Leslie's service out to my home several times because I was having trouble keeping my pool clean. Every time they came out they told me there was a different problem and I spent a ton of money with them to get things fixed. Time after time they gave me reassurances that this time it would help. We replaced the filter multiple times but still nothing was working. They kept saying things were "user error" after following their directions perfectly. Come to find out after consulting with a different company that the fix was easy and all of the money I had spent was not necessary. I had purchased a band new filter with them after complaining about all the problems they put me through and they came and installed it backwards so any filter cleanings I do are near impossible because I need a wrench and to turn the filter around just to do a routine cleaning. When I called to tell them they installed it backwards they hung up on me. I've been through months of work, spent tons of money with them, all to find out they were charging me for unnecessary things and never actually fixed the problem. When I told them the last money I'd ever spend was the filter they installed it backwards so now I have to get someone out here to fix it and they won't take my calls. I bought a Pentair pool pump from this location. It was installed and it has drastically cut my electric bill. I had a problem changing the settings on the pump to increase run time so I called this store. As in the past my questions were answered and the changes are made and all is "A Okay". The staff who work at this location are a "what can I do for you" bunch and although there are other pool service/supplies stores closer to my house it is worth the drive of the extra miles to visit to this location. Workers are friendly and helpful. But quality of their materials are questionable. Several pool cleaning nets and brushes do not have easily lockable extensions. You have to screw to tighten each time you extend. They seemed to break easily also. High cost they charge, hopefully quality would follow. So far lacking. read more

i purchased a hayward pool sweep it was marked 299.00 but that is with a rebate from hayward when i got home i found there was no instruction for the sweep and no paperwork for my rebate i called leslies and i was told thats between me and hayward so the rebate was for 100.00 but i guess i lost that 100.00 but leslies lost a customer will be dealing with nicer people at redlands pool suply read more
