Lucy was very helpful at my last visit to this store. I would recommend this store. They are always more than accommodating.

There is only one employee that is ever mildly knowledgable in the store at a time, this makes for long lines and wait times. They are there to sell you products only to increase their sales. The Leslie brand chemical products are poor quality. I will admit they use to be good but they must have cut corners on their products making them less effective so you have to use more. I had pool water issues this season, spend hundreds of $, never resolved it, went to a different pool store and got it resolved in 24 hrs with one treatment of a better quality of chemical for $50. Pool Opening Service We've always used a professional service to open and close our pool. We have never had it left in this condition after opening. As expensive as other complete opening services, but with the others the pool is left usable. No email about appointment, no other information provided before the appointment. *Avoid the service dept* After claiming they could not fix something that they installed, days later we magically had an appointment scheduled. (We did not make this nor agree to it on the phone). Do not order from this company this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced when you order an item and they tell you when it's going to be shipped the day you are supposed to receive it you will receive an email stating due to the pandemic they have no idea when they're going to be able to ship out your item then when you try to get a refund they will give you the runaround and say they can't get a response from their warehouse and as of now only a request to cancel your order they will not refund your money they will make you sit on hold and they're rude do not buy from here read more

I will never use Leslie's service department again. Technician came to open pool... started off saying I was missing a bolt/ nut/ washer. Had to find one of each.. even though he came to job in a service truck. Evidently no hardware?!! Then proceeded to drop pool cover and leaves into pool. Fished cover out after making a huge mess and left water soaked cover in my lawn for me and my daughter to drain and drag out of yard. Then after an hour " discovered" a crack in skimmer box. Said they don't fix them. Don't know who does. Told me to purchase and replace and they will come out to open pool in a week. Purchased skimmer box. Called Leslie's asked if they had anyone to replace it so I could get pool opened. Was told after three unreturned phone calls if no one called back they would be there to replace skimmer box and open pool. The morning of the scheduled appointment. One hour AFTER they should have been at my house. The service manager called to tell me they could not fix skimmer box and " had no idea" of anyone that could. Two weeks now. No cover on pool. No chemicals or filtration system... I am now worried we will have algae. Contacted home advisors who assured me they will be out to replace skimmer box and complete pool opening. Fingers crossed. I have been a customer of Leslie's for several years. During pool season I almost exclusively use their products for our pool. I just called to ask about services that Leslie's provided. We are inquiring about moving our pool vs. buying a brand new one. The woman I spoke to was so rude. She never let me get my question out without cutting me off. When I repeated my question she gave me a snappy one word answer. When I said ok, she then hung up the phone. Her lack of customer service skills blew my mind. I was in the market for a low priced hot tub. There are many choices online. I chose leslie's because they are a service company. As soon as I plugged it in I realized there was a problem. I called the 800 # for service. I was told "we don't service free standing hot tubs." Then I was told to call the local store maybe they know where I can find local service. The store clerk said when we have a service question we call the 800#. I have contacted the manufacturer and Leslie's corporate office. Neither has replied. I have a $3000 spa that almost works correctly and no warranty. read more

I don't usually go by reviews but this time I should have. I walked into the store and began looking around for what I needed. No one at anytime said anything to me. I had a big bag with tubes in it so you would think they would say something just because I had a big bag with me...nothing. I waited a few minutes and still no help and there were three people up front and one in the back. Even if they were helping someone one of them could have at least said, "I will be with you in a moment." To be honest, I came here expecting the worst, I talked to Lisa and she was more helpful than I expected. Basically told me exactly what I needed all bullshit aside. I find the staff extremely rude and indifferent. They typically act as if you are a bother to them.

One employee working - spent twenty minutes helping the guy ahead of me - stopped to answer the phone several times, while I was completely ignored. finally it was my turn. She kept stopping to assist other customers and answer the phone, then started to ring someone else up ahead of me. I told her I waited my turn already, you need to finish up with me before you start helping others or get more employees. She was not happy. But make up your mind - either you are going to multi-task or not and you didn't with me so don't start when it's finally my turn. There should always be at least two employees in the store!! I am very impressed with their knowledge and expertise. This is one of my favorite pool stores. We moved into a house that had an above ground pool. I am an Accountant by trade and know nothing about swimming pools. Like most pool stores they can't staff enough during pool season. Every pool store I go to I have to wait. it is part of the business and the season. They are worth waiting for. When i have a problem that no one else can figure out, I will drive nearly half an hour and pass 4 pool stores on my way there. Why do I drive past 4 other stores? Because the other pool stores don't know what they are doing. Leslie's maintains commercial pools. When you maintain commercial pools they have to be right all the time. If they aren't maintained, you are out of business. You can't stay in this business unless you know what you are doing. When all the other pool stores go to reduced hours in the winter they are open the same time year around. I know I can get the advice and products I need. I am very busy from September through late October. When other pool stores were selling pool tables and didn't have pool equipment. Leslie's had what I needed when no one else did. When everything is working perfectly, i go to another store near my house. When there is something wrong this is my go to place. They are worth the wait and drive when I have a problem. read more

I have been a customer at Leslie's Pool Supply in Tinley Park for the last 2 years and have remained a customer because of the amazing service I have ALWAYS received from Lisa. No matter how the long the line for water samples, she is always patient and takes the time necessary to answer all my questions and has never tried to sell me anything that I don't need. As a newer inground pool owner I was nervous about going to any store other than that of the my pool's installers but after meeting Lisa and observing how knowledgeable and patient she is I have become a Leslie's customer for life. I'd avoid the Tinley location if at all possible. They don't return phone calls, they have had an attitude every time I have been in store or spoken with them on the phone, and they have simply no time or patience for new pool owners. I don't know who pees in their cheerios every morning, but I have NEVER had a pleasant experience with this location. After giving them MANY chances, I will now rely exclusively to the Oak Lawn location, despite the fact that Tinley is within walking distance from my home. Rude and condecending service. The younger kids seem nice and try to be helpful but the woman that works their will not give her time or energy, I only assume because we don't run a expensive pool. Looking for help for a smaller pool system and she sent me rudely to the internet despite trying to explain my system and coming up with a solution. We had never been here before and I usually go to American Sales on LaGrange for all my pool needs. I so happened to be at a store a door down from this Leslie's and the kids wanted to stop in. We just opened our pool so the kids were extremely excited to be swimming soon. We do swim lessons every year for a few weeks and swimming becomes our life during the summer. We walked in and there was a stacked tower of blown up american flag ring floats right in front of the door. My kids got excited and my 10 year old daughter took one off the stack and said "oh...cool". She wanted one. This crabby blonde lady in a mean tone says "that is my display". Really? First off, maybe not a good display and especially right by the front door as soon as you walk in. If you don't want someone to touch, maybe there is not a good place and we are talking about floats, right?! Not glass? That is fine though, I turned right around and didn't take another step in the door. I have no idea who she is and really din't care. I don't need her store. Ain't doing me any favors. I'll head right back to my favorite American Sales where they treat their customers WAY better. If I'm bringing my kids in to pick out a new float and they touch one, really??? Oh my!!!!! The staff here are very rude to their customers. I had purchased an opening kit and realized I already purchased one from them a year earlier. The kit is over a hundred dollars and I would have liked to use the money for something else, even if it was a credit at their store. The same lady who sold me the kit had her back turned to me the entire conversation and never looked at me once. She acted bothered by me and basically wanted me to leave her alone and use the kit next year without explaining the chemical reasoning for not accepting returns in a professional manner.
