It's been over 3 weeks I've asked for a quote and to install and open a pool. He said yes and now no response

I had Sergio install our pool in 2023. He did an excellent job. However, our pool liner fell off on one end due to a leak in the pump that eroded the ground. Spoke to Sergio Sept 2nd to replace pool liner. Bought the liner and let him know that we understood we would have to pay for his labor. It is now October 10th and he has ignored all my calls and texts and will not respond to even give me a suggested date that he can get to us. Very disappointed in the follow up care. I would give a 5 star for initial service but a 0-on follow up so compromised the entire experience to a 3 read more

Sergio and his team are great! I had an issue with my liner needing to be replaced and I also had a leaking pipe. I contacted Sergio and he came out the same day to check it out. Then he came out early the next day and fixed everything! He leveled the sand, replaced the liner, and fixed the leak! Everyone else I called either didn't want or didn't know how to do the job because I have a deck and my pool has two main drains. They were all quoting ridiculous prices. With all the knowledge and years of experience Sergio has, it was a no brainer. Wham, bam, thank you mam... he got the job done in no time and my pool is back to looking brand new and working as it should. i've had a for 13 years and I had many It never lasts me more than two years when I called Esperanza when I tell you, this is quality and it's dirt cheap. These are the people to when I requested their they scheduled me promptly and got the job done in one day. This company knows what they're doing and they do such a great job. Just had my pool installed over the weekend, they did an amazing job, they were very professional, and cleaned up their mess. I initially called them to get out of the other company that was supposed to install my pool and right away I was treated better than the other company which shall remain nameless. During the install it started pouring outside, and they STILL finished. They came back the next day after working all morning, to finish up the pump setup. I would definitely recommend them for all your pool needs. read more

No communication. Rarely replied to text messages, Did not return phone calls. Had an appointment get cancelled due to weather but that is understandable. Texted him and he asked to call back an hour later. Made a new appointment. I texted 2 days before to confirm....no reply, the day before....no reply, the morning of....no reply. He never showed up. I understand that its hard to answer the phone or reply during the day if you are working but to ignore texts and phone calls after the day is over or every couple days is unacceptable. Choose someone else and save the headaches. read more

Ok so, initially we had a hard time getting our pool installed on the original date due to the weather. We basically blew Sergio's phone up and he eventually came out and installed our pool. He and his brother did an amazing job getting the job done in one day. They were professional and super precise with their work. The pool is level and solid like we hoped. I'm glad we waited (and didn't let up on calling Sergio) because they did a really good job. I can tell the pool is going to last us for many years to come. read more

Run don't walk away from using Sergio services. He agreed to install our pool and after a month of sending multiple texts and phone calls that went unanswered we are now stuck with a pool that cannot be installed until next year due to the weather. To make matters worse we have nowhere to store the pool so we have to return it and are being charged a 10% restocking fee even though the store we purchased the pool at is who recommended Sergio to us in the 1st place. This guy should not be in business, and hopefully this review will deter at least one person from being screwed like we were by his total lack of professionalism and execution! I wish we would have read all of his poor reviews before we had agreed to use his services!!! Lesson learned! read more

We have used Esparza Pools [EP] for a number of years to open and close our pool as they are competitively priced and always do a GREAT job. This season (2021) we discovered a leak in the liner and it appeared to be in the seam so it could not be patched. We contacted EP but they were very busy doing installs and by the time they could install a new liner for us the season would be over. We contacted another pool installer who could get us taken care of later that same week. The fact that pool installers were super busy this year I should have known something was up when this one could take care of my liner installation. This other company, which shall remain nameless, came back several times as they could not seem to get the liner installed correctly. I finally gave up and after a lot of aggregation, 3 pools full of water and a lot of money I decided I'd have to live with a wrinkled pool liner EP came to close the pool today and immediately realized the crappy job the other company did with the liner and asked if I did this myself. I explained what happened and WHO did the install and EP, out of pity, offered me a nice discount to put a new liner in next spring and promised it would be smooth and level and done in one day. EP is great for installing pools and doing just about any maintenence you can think of for your pool. I'd recommend them to anyone with a pool! read more

Extremely unprofessional. They gave me a date. My husband took time off from work to make sure he was home for our pool installation. When I call and text to confirm our installation day, they never answer. I tex Serjio Esparza and told him I thought it was inconsiderate because my husband even took time off from work. Right away he got offended and said he's working and he's not on the phone all day. I was a paying client and was just trying to confirm my appointment. Very unprofessional. Sergio and my husband set-up an appointment for a liner replacement and when the date got closer we tried calling and texting to confirm only to be blown off by him. Esparza did an amazing job on our new pool installation. Sergio was very professional and hard working. He and his crew completed a "hand dig" installation for a 33 x 18 above ground pool in 2 days. They left my yard clean and even wheel barreled the dirt to the end of my yard. The late spring weather caused a few weeks of delay and inconvenience. However, once I spoke to the customer care manager Sherry, it was smooth sailing from there. She coordinated the installation schedule and kept me informed the whole way. Sergio has installed a pool for us before through American Sale. Everything was fine the first time. We moved and decided to have another pool installed at our new home. Sergio gave us a quote for $1200 new installation and told us to wait until the weather warms up a bit so we can have it installed. We thought great! Great price, he does good work, etc. Well, weather warmed up and we called Sergio to install the pool- no answer, no call back, nothing. Funniest part was we saw his guys installing a new pool RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from us. We thought he was great the first time we worked with him but the whole *ignoring our phone calls* thing is just childish and unprofessional. My wife and I purchased our first above ground pool for our home in Tinley park. For us it was a big investment for something our whole family could enjoy together. We are very particular about our house and keep our landscaping and yard extremely neat. I have to say hands-down that Sergio and his crew did an amazing job installing this pool. They had to dig 21 inches down into the ground just to get it level,so there was a lot of dirt!! I cannot believe how respectful they were of my property and how they neatly removed all of the dirt to my driveway and recommended someone to haul it away. They worked two days straight and were so careful on not destroying my yard with all the dirt they were hauling away carefully. We have had the pool for two weeks and my yard looks like no one was ever trampling through it. The hole they dug for the pool was so nice and streamline and they left me just enough dirt to backfill it.Sergio takes pride in his work and it shows! I have seen homes after a pool installation in their yard is a complete wreck with dirt everywhere. I cannot say that about my pool installation it was the cleanest most professional installation and I am a hard person to please. No stars! I called Sergio based on a recommendation from a friend. He asked me to call the office to make an appointment. I took the earliest opening they had 3 weeks out. 2 days before I called to confirm and the lady told me she will call me back. The next day she called me and said we can't guarantee anything it looks like rain all week. I asked her to call me the next day and if the weather looked good we can schedule the next day. 3 days went by with no call and no rain! As a matter of fact the weather was beautiful! I made several calls to the office and Sergio and there was no answer and no call back. Very unprofessional -buyer beware! I wasted 3 weeks of my time so they can no call no show. Sergio and his crew are phenomonal! They did a beautiful job installing our pool, they worked really hard, and they don't overdig. The pool fit perfectly into the space they dug. They hand dig, so the yard still looked great when they finished. I've seen other pool installers tear up yards during the installation with big equipment. I would hire then again in a minute. Last week we called to set up an appointment to replace our pool liner and they agreed to a date a week later and told us that we would have someone come by before 10 am. The day of, it was already past 12 and no one showed up to out house, keeping in mind that I had to take a day off of work for this. After we called them about 11 times(to which at one point the owner shut off his phone not to answer the phone) the secretary finally answered and apologized that she forgot to put us on the schedule and that she would send someone in two days, and that they would also be there by 10 am. The same thing happened the second time they were supposed to come. I had to call them 20 times and all they could tell me when she finally answered is that they were behind on a project and she would call me back. An hour and a half passes and again I had to keep calling until someone answered the phone. At this point I was mad, I had already taken a second day off of work and they couldn't even bother to tell me they were behind schedule and would not send someone that day. Instead no one showed up and they didn't bother to inform me. After she finally answered that day she ended the conversation by saying we can just find someone else to replace the liner and hung up the phone. This is not how you run a business. I wasted 2 weeks of time in which I could have found someone else to replace the liner and had the pool finished already, as well as 2 days of work for a company that couldn't bother to show up. read more

i give sergio no stars. i made an appt for him to come out and install a liner. we made the date for a week later. the man never showed up. when i called to ask why and where he was at, he would not answer the phone. i then called and spoke with him about 4 days later and then made another appointment and he confirmed he would be there. said he was sorry for not returning my call. ok fine. the second appointment was also a no show and he again would not answer the phone. now you think by now i would get the hint about this guy. nope i figured i would give him 3 chances. got ahold of him again finally made another appointment and he flat out promised he would be here to install the liner. guess what. the guy never showed up. no explanation like i am busy or i was tied up. nothing. sergio this message is for you. take your installation service and shove it. not showing up is rude and not returning a phone call and just letting customers wait and wait for you is also rude and shows me you dont care. i gave you 3 customers that wanted liners installed and i know you blew them off as well because you would not return there calls either. you really pissed me off by ignoring me and the other friends that i gave your name to. furthermore i am going to call american sale and file a complaint with them and the other pool retailers you work for. all i wanted was my liner installed and you had to treat me and the others like we didnt even exist. you need to learn how to treat customers and run your business alot better. thank you for nothing. dont make promises you cant keep. for anybody reading this stay far away from sergio. read more
