If you're even considering this place - GO! I'm a really fussy eater & don't get into "fine" dining, but we loved everything about LeTara Grill. Miami John took such good care of us! The drinks were wonderful - thanks for making my Chiltons so perfectly Our table ordered Surf & Turf (very good), Brisket Tacos (good), and Crab Cakes (amazing!). The Mac N Cheese was highly recommended but the mashed potatoes get an OMG from me! To top it off - and this coming from the simple eating diner - we ordered some awesome desserts. Key lime pie was fantastic & the berry cobbler (not sure that's what it's called) was my absolute fave. We will definitely be back soon! read more

Out and about in Haslet. Stopped by LeTara for lunch. They're brand spanking new! Only opened for 3 weeks. The tomato soup was good but I really liked the roast chicken salad. I'm not usually a salad or chicken person but I loved it! The key lime pie is one of the best I've had. Just the right mix of tangy and sweet with great lime flavor. Overall good food. We really, really, really wanted to love LeTara. Our server Daniel was fantastic. Attentive without being overbearing and friendly. Five stars for Daniel. We ordered the spicy rock shrimp to start. It tasted good but was over-sauced and the presentation was not good. Just a pile of shrimp over some shredded cabbage and a lemon wedge. Our entrees were two of the three specials for the evening. I got the crab stuffed trout which was very good. My husband got, what we were told, was a bacon wrapped New York Strip. This dish was abysmal. The only thing we could taste was wood. It was undercooked and under seasoned. We told Daniel who, as he should, had the manager come to the table. Here's where things went wrong. As a manager, you should own mistakes and complaints. She, Christina, proceeded to immediately blame the server for explaining the dish incorrectly. You do not do that unless it is an obvious issue with the server - meaning the server was rude or something to that effect. Complaints about food have nothing to do with the server - even if he explained the dish incorrectly. As a manager you should know that every single server is crystal clear on what each dish is. We truly were offended that she placed all of the blame on Daniel. He apologized to us for the error which was appreciated but not necessary from him. They did not charge us for the steak which was not necessary but I do realize that I need to give them credit for that gesture. We did say we would pay for our entire meal but not having to pay for a pretty horrible steak was appreciated. We will not be going back, however. That's how offensive we found the manager's attitude towards her servers. Thank you Daniel for the service. **Edit** If asking for the onions in the side is a "major change" that changed the dish so much that we ruined the dish, I think that says a lot for the taste of the dish. read more

Was there before for Sunday Brunch and found their limited menu fair but overpriced. My wife enjoys meeting her friends there for lunch and informed me of their prime rib Saturday night special. So off we went tonight. My wife ordered a steak salad and I ordered prime rib. I was surprised that they didn't offer a dinner salad or bread and allowed one side which was overstuffed baked potato. It was basically mashed potato ped up to look baked with cheese andfixing, no skin. The prime rib was 12 oz, very chewy and lacking flavor. For $44.00 I expected more. So here's your bad review. I have been to much more expensive restaurants that are considered fine dining and didn't enjoy as much as LeTara Grill. The fried shrimp appetizer was amazingly under priced for the portion, quality and flavor execution. My wife enjoyed the wild caught grilled Salmon, mac'n'cheese, and broccolini, while I feasted to my delight on a surf and turf consisting of large lump crab cake and a 5ounce filet mignon, wilted spinach, mashed potatoes, complete with more mac'n'cheese. EVERYTHING was perfectly cooked, salmon, crab and filet were not overdone, perfect flavor and freshness. The sides were some of the best I've ever had. We shared a slice of award winning key lime pie (if it hasnt won an award yet, it should)! Everything here is made from scratch and in house and you can taste the passion in every bite. We experienced warm, friendly and professional service from our server John, who by the end of our visit identified me as a "fellow foodie.". John provided outstanding service as he went over the menu and specials with articulate, fluent and expert detail. He even recommended and introduced me to his buddy Leo in case he was out for next visit. Interior has nice rustic, country, yet modern finishes, ideal for casual lunch or special date. Just wanted to give a shout out to the owner and chef at le Tara grill. They have a bone in rib-eye that was amazing. And the best part about it....I have gone to many places and have gotten steak. And it never fails, It's never cooked the way they ask me how I want it cooked. But Le Tara cooked it to precision and flavor was mouth watering! Well done Le Tara!! read more

First time visiting this hidden gem. The Tuesday special was out of this world. Delicious garlic chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Turkey melt on fresh sourdough, um yes please. The balance of flavors in everything frim a salad to steak is near perfection. Recommended cocktails also enhanced the flavor pairings of our meals. Tonights's chickenen enchiladas basked in a robust sauce and were complemented by a delicately tart blueberry drop martini. My husband chose pork ribs wonderfully set off by a savory rub and enjoyed with an IPA. Dessert was a delicate and memorable key lime pie. Attentive service was our experience on both occasions. I think the chef lost his saltshaker... Anne probably didn't know what actual seasoning is. Food was extremely bland an awful. First time we've been here and we are not impressed. It took 45 minutes to get our appetizer and we had to ask our waiter what was taking so long.... then it took another 45 minutes to get our food and we also had to ask about that. We got two steaks (sirloin and filet) and neither were seasoned or had much flavor.... my husband never got his salad before the meal. Our waiter acted as though he had no idea we had ordered food at one point. We also saw four other tables leave about the same time we were getting ready to just go because it had taken way too long for everything and we were sick of waiting. Several never got meals or asked for them to go for the same reason. When they say "Fine American Kitchen" they must me "eh... it's fine". We will not be back. read more
