This morning we went to celebrate Mother's Day at LeTara Grill and this was our second time there since we've moved to Texas. We knew that it would be busy however we were seated immediately. We waited almost and hour for our food but Kristina who I'm now realizing, is the owner of this establishment comp our entire meal. Thank you for acknowledging us, I wasn't expecting it but definitely appreciate it. Most businesses wouldn't even consider such a thing. That was GREAT customer service. Was here with my family over the week and all I can say Horrible!! FOOD WAS COLD AND NO ONE TRIED TO FIX IT!! Never one time did we ever see a manager on the floor and found that very odd because every time we're there John is working it!! Only to find out that John is no longer there! Don't know why and who let this happen but absolutely the WRONG business move!! All I see is this restaurant going down!! 6 month MAX!! I was so excited to have a new restaurant open in Haslet and it has exceeded my expectations! We went for a birthday dinner and everyone's meals were excellent. The artichoke and cornbread starters were exceptional; the steak was the best we've had in a very long time; the ribs were incredibly delicious; and everyone had to have a bite of the loaded mac and cheese! Went on Valentines night. Got there at 5:30. Staff was stressed out with the amount of people to wait on. I get it, just don't seat everyone that walks in. Give good service and good food and people will wait. Did not get our appetizer of calamari. At least it wasn't on our bill. Ordered the special of filet and lobster. Took 1 1/2 hours to get it. The filet was ok, but the lobster tail had been precooked, then stuffed with something so it could stay in the oven. Had to cut the lobster tail with our steak knife. Horrible! Other patrons were upset also. Paid $235 before tip for 3 specials and 4 drinks. Never again. We live close by and really wanted a place we could go to for Happy Hour or etc.... But will not be returning. I don't blame the staff at all. This is a management/ownership issue. Until that changes, it won't change. No one from management or ownership came by to help the staff. read more

I want to share this update with you. Before, I gave LeTara Grill an"Excellent," rating. Our experience here last Friday evening was not Excellent. It was only average. My wife and I both ordered a Filet Mignon, baked potato, and salad. We also shared 1 slice of Cornbread, as the only alternative offered was a Sourdough bread. The service was not good. Drink refills were a challenge to get. When our food finally came out, the baked potatoes were under baked and still crunchy inside. We also ordered everything on the side for the potatoes, and they came loaded. Because our server did not come back and check to see if the steaks were cooked right, etc, I flagged down another guy who I think was serving as a host, about our potatoes. He wanted to take our entire plates back. Ok. Of course this necessitated an even longer wait, and with no offered drink refills. So, for $93.64 cents for our meal, I can't say it was a good experience or good value. I expect better all the around at this price point. Sad that this visit was not up to par with our first couple of dining experiences here. read more

This used to be a great restaurant although a little on the pricey side. But over the past year, I can no longer rate the food as a great product for the cost. My wife and I have eaten here 3 times in the past. Each time the food was good. This time the fried calamari was greasy and most of the breading had fallen off on the plate. We sent it back. My 1/2 grilled bbq chicken was lukewarm in the center...no where near being hot. I decided to send it back as well. At this point I was ready to call it a day and leave. My wife's steak salad was good. Once she finished we planned to leave. Before doing so the manager checked in to ask if I wanted something else from the menu. I said "no thanks". He then proceeded to make a point of telling me that the chicken I sent back wasn't cold. I was taken aback by his attitude about this. I told him that "I know the difference between hot and cold food." He then said,"we'll, it wasn't cold, I felt it." I said, "it wasn't hot either. When you order bbq chicken from a restaurant, you expect it to be hot." "I did not come here to argue with you." Rather than saying "we apologize that we were not up to our normal standards....please give us another try." He said, "it wasn't cold." !!!!UNBELIEVABLE!!!! So, over priced food and a manager with an attitude. Needless to say we are finished with this place. Palio Pizza, Le Tara Grill...I wonder what will open there next????? read more

As long-time residents of Haslet we so wanted to like this restaurant and write a rave review. Sadly, that is not going to be the case. All we (there were 3 of us at dinner) are going to review is the menu, the price, the food, and the service. The menu: A nice selection, however, the price for the evening specials are not printed on the menu. The night we were there the special was prime rib which comes with one small side. The cost: $28.00 We all ordered the prime rib and our sides were salad, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. We also ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer; along with one glass of wine and two cocktails. It took a while for our food to come out and the meal arrived at the same time as our calamari did. Our cocktails had yet to be served to us. The food: we eat prime rib all the time when out and each of our prime ribs was cold, overcooked, tough and tasteless. One of us had to send their prime rib back; as it was so tough it was tough to eat. When the waiter took the plate he also took the side that was on it and we were surprised to see they did nothing to warm up the broccoli; they just let it sit-leaving it cold and unappetizing. The salad is served on a plate no bigger than a saucer; eating it without food falling on the table proved impossible. The salad is small to begin with, but would best be served in a bowl. The calamari was okay-not bad and not great. When we asked for cocktail sauce we were told they did not have any-we did not care for the sauce that was served with it. Our cocktails came well after our food was served and while the wine was good the drinks were not. Having made old fashioneds many times what we got was more like a whiskey sour than an old fashion. The other drink, with fruit in it, was bland and the strawberries were bitter-I know, I tasted one. In the end none of us finished even half of our prime rib-it was just too bland, too cool in temp, and too tough to be something we wanted to eat. When we talked to the manager (he had just started a few days before) he was very nice but gave us every excuse in the book as to why the food was good and, I guess, we were being picky. We don't care that they had been serving prime rib since they opened-ours was not very good and we did not eat it. No, we did not ask for any food to be comped and it was not offered. What they did offer was 3 desserts to go-which we took them up on and we tried them at home. The key lime pie was the best. The banana creme pie was not very good nor was the tres leches as the topping, on both, lacked any sweet taste at all and in fact, was almost bitter. One of our party has been in baking for a long time and wondered how they could take such good tasting desserts and turn them into what they were. One has to wonder if the owners or managers even taste their own food. We were all glad we did not spend more money on dessert! In the end, spending over 128 dollars (not counting the tip) for three prime rib dinners with small sides, one order of calamari, one glass of wine and two small cocktails was just not worth it. We all said the prime rib, at places such as Texas Road House, is so much better than at this place. And at Texas Road House you get two large sides and bread; for considerbly less than what this place charges. Plus the meat is hot, the salad is larger, and our drinks come before our appetizer is served. To be told, by the manager, that the cocktails are handmade and thus take longer to make, was just an excuse to appease us; most cocktails are handmade and we have never had to wait till after our dinner was served to get them. As we were leaving another couple stopped us and told us they thought their prime rib was (their words) "way less than good". They had heard us talking to the manager and after hearing what he said to us they decided not to talk to him. So, for us, the search for a good place to eat in Haslet continues. We decided to try this place with some friends because it listed a veggie burger on the menu. My husband is a vegetarian and sometimes it can be a challenge to find something appetizing for him. Our friends ordered the artichoke appetizer. When it came out, I know my husband and I both looked at it like "Is that what it's supposed to look like?" We'd wrongly assumed or misread the menu and thought it was going to be artichoke hearts. No. It's the leaves, grilled and with a wonderful dip on the side, thought to be Thousand Island dressing maybe. Personally, I've never eaten anything quite like it before and we all agreed it was delicious. Next, my husband ordered the homemade veggie burger with fries, I ordered the plank salmon with a side of macaroni and cheese. Our friends both ordered steak medium rare, with sautéed spinach. My husband LOVED the veggie burger. I also tried his and it was cooked to perfection with lovely fresh ingredients. I'm not usually a big fan of fries, but his were thin, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect. My salmon was delicious with a wonderful grill taste and expertly seasoned. While the loaded mac and cheese was very good, it was a bit heavy for me. I can only describe it as a thick deep taste, and I prefer a little bit lighter, thinner sauce. I managed to eat all of it though! ha ha. Our friends loved and ate every bit of their steaks, commenting that it had a wonderful grilled taste. One of them said they weren't sure about the sautéed spinach, because there was a lot of another green vegetable in it. She wasn't sure if it was collard greens or something else, but that it was not all spinach. She wasn't a fan. Our friends ordered a slice of key lime pie. It was beautiful, homemade, and delicious. We were already so stuffed that we couldn't eat a whole dessert, but decided to try one bite of his for this review. That was probably one of the best graham cracker crusts I've ever eaten. An absolutely delicious pie. Our server Andreaus could not have been any nicer or more attentive. He was there to fill up glasses, etc everytime we needed it, and offered service with a smile. We do not live near Haslet, but are occasionally in that area. We will most definitely be back. This place is worth the drive just for the professionally prepared fresh food you'll receive. My friend and I came for lunch, around 12:30 on Father's Day. We got in right away, the host took us right to a table. After that, we were forgotten! Two tables of people came in after us and were waited on before us. We had to call the waiter over and ask to be waited on, and told him we had been waiting first. He went away, then came back and apologized that the host never told him our table was his to wait on. (The table next to us was the only one next to us, and that table was his.) My friend had Salmon Benedict, and I had the blackened chicken sandwich. All the food was tepid, except her potatoes were cold. My fries had a slight fishy taste, and the chicken wasn't seasoned at all. At one point 2 employees cleared a large table and moved the table to another room... but all they did was move the dirty dishes to the bar, where they continued to sit. We had to ask for salt & pepper, and never got it... I had to get up and grab it from the bar, amongst all the dirty dishes. We each had a mimosa, and even that was disappointing. The waiter didn't check on us, and we had to ask for the check. Then he tried to charge us for 4 mimosas when we only had 2. He looked at the table for the extra 2 glasses, as he was so sure we had ordered 4. Tables all around us were not being bussed. This place needed a caring manager to oversee things, desperately! Wishing this restaurant was in Keller. We have been eyeing this place for a while and finally made the 25 minute drive. All the service points were performed like a well oiled machine; greeted, seated, beverage and specials correctly done. Brittany was very attentive without hovering. Roasted artichokes were awesome and beverages were reasonably priced and well made. We both had the special of the night, Prime Rib. The crust was salty and my wife's was underdone, but it was quickly fixed and the salt rub crust simple to cut away. Here is where I get weird; the small house salad was awesome......and for me is a mark of a restaurant that is paying close attention. Multiple types of lettuce combining bitter and sweet with cucumber, tomato and cornbread croutons and interesting HOUSE MADE dressings. We ordered the key lime pie to go. All was not perfect, but it was an environment of precision and care. We will return often. read more

I ordered a glass of wine and when the server brought it to me she said the glass is clean but clearly it had lipstick on the rim she apologized and brought me a new one that was fine but we also ordered nachos for an starter, turkey melt, Reuben, and chicken sandwich the nachos came out 5 minutes before the rest of our food and they where burned and on a dirty plate then the rest of our food came out and my chicken sandwich was on a dirty plate and cold and the fries that came with it was cold and old as well I told the server and she took my plate apologized and just put the same old cold food on a clean plate and brought it back to me. I will not recommend or be returning to eat here. And let's not forget my bill was 60 dollars after she took off my chicken sandwich. No management of any kind even came to my table to ask me what was wrong or fix the problem with my food. JUST HORRIBLE read more

Such a great find! We came in for brunch on a Saturday morning and were impressed immediately with the look of the restaurant and the service. My husband and I split the chilaquiles and John, our server had the dish divided for two with the egg cooked exactly the way we each preferred. We had the BBQ chicken. Great smoky flavor and the BBQ was on point it added to the flavor and did not overpower the chicken flavor. The sides are great as well. Visited for the first time on Sunday April 29 2018. Enjoyed the egg white omelette and mimosas. The door is nice, booths are ample size. Nice patio which we intend to go back and enjoy soon. We dinned as a large group and the food was excellent. Portion sizes are huge. Most appetizers could be a meal (especially the shrimp). Salads are fresh and very good. We had several children dining who ordered hamburgers and they were huge. Fries are excellent. We ordered several of the nightly specials (crab cakes, beef kbobs, filet and shrimp). All in all the prices were very good, but the specials seemed a bit over priced. I would give them five stars but our server seemed overwhelmed by a large group (no silver ware, could only take two drink orders at a time, slow on refills). We decided to try this restaurant about a month ago after church. It was myself and two friends and we all were highly impressed! The decor, the smells, all added to the outstanding food delivered to our table by one of the best waiters ever. Big shout out to the chefs, the manager, the wait staff who all made us feel so welcome. Our food had not only great presentation, but was extremely delicious--and affordably priced! Wow, we were surprised, great place with great food. Everyone was so pleased with their lunch menu; we canceled our plans for that evening to go into Fort Worth for dinner. Took my father there last Saturday to treat him to a good meal. We all selected the prime rib. The waiter stated that the prime rib was normally served medium rare and asked if that was how we would like it. We all agreed that medium rare was what we preferred. The food arrived at the table and the prime rib was obviously not medium rare. Two of them were medium and the one that was served to my father had no pink at all. He asked the waiter for a medium rare slice of prime rib and the waiter argued with him! The waiter stated that it was medium rare, it was only grey because they put Au jus on it and that turned it grey! At that point, my father calmly cut into the prime rib and showed the waiter that in fact it was grey all the way through. Finally the waiter grabbed his plate and 10 minutes later he received another slice of prime rib. Also, I tried the loaded mac & cheese, which came with an up charge. Don't bother paying extra and ordering it as it was "loaded" with some bread crumbs and a few bits of bacon. A big disappointment! The meals only came with one side and no bread, The Coleslaw my wife ordered was delicious. However, a $100 for good coleslaw was ridiculous. I will not be back! read more
