    Red pepper hummus

Stopped here for a quick lunch and they took good care of us. There's inside and outside seating. Grinders, burgers and pizza are the main items. I ordered a small sausage and black olive pizza. Are you sure this isn't Wisconsin? Man was that loaded with cheese (no complaints). My wife had the red pepper hummus plate and instead of pita it is served with flatbread made from their pizza dough. It was covered in cheese! Nice selection of Michigan beers and the usual mass produced crap. Quick friendly service.

We had a great experience at Duffy's this afternoon. We were immediately seated and our server came to take our drink orders. I was pleased that they serve Brix soft drinks and I ordered root beer. My wife ordered a small 10" Mediterranean Goddess pizza; I ordered a small 10" Big Kahuna pizza and Stuffed Mushrooms for an appetizer. The Stuffed Mushrooms were delicious. They were served before our pizzas, piping hot in a ceramic dish and covered with ooey-gooey cheese. Our pizzas arrived, hot and they were loaded. They were delicious; lots of condiments and tons of cheese. We could only eat three slices before we were full. No problem, our server provided us with a to-go box (we had them for dinner that same night). The restaurant has a great vibe, decorated to match the restaurant's name, with license plates, hub caps, the grill of an old car. It was very clean and appealing with a beautiful view of the lake from the back outdoor patio. We will definitely return.

The pizzas here were great! This is a perfect spot for a casual and quick meal. We liked it so much our first night near we returned again the next night. Our servers were great.

Thought it wouldn't be fair to leave a poor review since the eatery was closed when Yelp indicated it was open -- so we returned and had a good experience. We started with an appetizer of stuffed mushroom caps, and they arrived at our table piping hot and covered with ooey mozzarella cheese. Quite delicious as the stuffing consisted of cooked sausage and spices. Next we ordered two 10" pizzas: the Big Kahuna primarily with ham, pineapple and green peppers, cheese and spices, and the Mediterranean Goddess with chicken, feta and mozzarella cheese, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, a few purple onions and Greek peppers. Both tasted quite nice and came on crispy, sweet and perfectly baked pizza dough. Our server was spot-on and ever-so-cheery. It would have been nice to sit outside on the patio; however, all the tables were occupied when we arrived. Instead we sat at a comfortable wooden table inside near the elevator. The only drawback: the dirty dishes station was directly behind us and one of the servers loudly clattered and clashed the dishes and silverware as she placed them into the trays. So overall we're happy that we returned, and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. We washed the pizzas down with a diet soda and some outstanding bottled root beer made in Michigan.

Quaint little bar and grille. One side covered in mechanics fashion with truck grade metal the other in metropolitan exposed brick. Decent burger but a sub-par salad. Very friendly wait staff, but they don't come around to check on you. Not good since us diabetic types drink a lot of water. Acceptable prices for Petosky. A cozy little treat in the downtown area. Next time through town we'll have to stop in again. 05/23

The pizza was fantastic. Great spinach and artichoke dip, with prompt and friendly service.

The pizza is very, very good.

We had a big group, so we tried pizza the heap of meats, the Hawaiian and the Al Caprese. One word: Wow. We are kind of pizza snobs, so this kind of praise doesn't come easily but I will say that their pizza is fantastic. We also highly recommend a spinach artichoke and a warm bread bowl. Mmmmmm Tasty!

This is what you call "A view from the deck". A delicious adult beverage.

Tonight I ordered "The Heap of Meat Pizza", loaded with pepperoni, ham, capicola, bacon, pancetta bacon, burger, sausage and added green peppers and onions. It was sooooo good. One of my new favorite places to go to. And a delicious adult beverage to go with it. The atmosphere was laid back and up beat. Ask for Stephanie as your waitress; she was awesome and was constantly checking in on us and making sure we were enjoying ourselves and our food. The chef himself, Rahfial, also made sure to come out and greet us and asked how everything was and gave us great customer service. I like to see when the person behind the art makes the time to come out to talk to his customers to see how everything is. Duffy's Garage & Grille is definitely a place you want to experience for amazing food surrounded by good people.

Delicious pizza, great bar food, nice variety of cocktails and great service! We walked in at noon and were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. The server was helpful, punctual and friendly as well. We had a side salad which was chock full of veggies and crisp lettuce, a deal @ $6.00 to accompany the mouth watering pizza. We tried the make your own veggie and Big Kahuna personal 10 inch hand tossed pizzas, which neither of us finished and happily packed up for a snack later! Great bar vibe with exposed brick, aluminum accents and old car parts scattered about setting the scene for Duffy's Garage. Located in super cute downtown Petoskey, we will definitely go back next time we're in Petoskey.

We were seated within 5 minutes of waking in. We we seated in the back of the restaurant in basically a heated back room. After a large group next to us Lordy, we were the only ones back there and it was private. We ordered the hot honey pizza and it was phenomenal. When we were done eating, a random worker came and took my boyfriends drink glass and said she was going to take it - then walked away. It was really weird.... But besides that it was great food! Highly recommend the pizza - casual atmosphere - the back room area was private and inclusive - fast service

Great pizza and friendly service! We stopped here for a pizza craving and we were not disappointed. Pizza was delicious! We also had the side salad with cherries and cashews-all very good.

We walked around town trying to find a place to eat and decided on Duffy's. We asked for outdoor seating in the shade and it just didn't seem very clean. Those metal mesh tables might be hard to clean but it kind of turned me off. I got the small Duffy's salad with grilled chicken and my friend got a meatball grinder. The food was actually good and good size portions. Our waiter was okay but not great. We got our food five minutes before he remembered to bring us silverware and napkins.

First, my wife grew up in Dearborn, and is, thus, well acquainted with Detroit pizza. So, when we were in town on Friday - living about 30 miles north - we decided to try out the Corktown Pizza restaurant. It was our first visit, but it will definitely NOT be our last. In fact, Corktown Pizza is now our go-to local restaurant for pizza. Now, to the promised review. There is not a whole lot to say about the ambiance. The restaurant has a somewhat spartan aura to it which we really enjoyed. We were able to concentrate and focus on our meal, and not on the room. The BEST part of the ambience was that the dining area was relatively quiet, allowing us to enjoy our meal and talk to each other without being overwhelmed by noise, which is the total opposite of Buffalo Wild Wings which shares the building, where you have to yell to be heard by the people sitting at your table. Now as to the food. The pizza was ABSOLUTELY the BEST pizza that I have EVER had - and I am 75 years of age, and have always enjoyed pizza. I might have had a pizza at some point that was as good as the Corktown Pizza, but I have DEFINITELY NEVER had a pizza that was better. They have several types of pizza on the menu - thick crust, thin crust, Detroit style, etc. I got the Detroit pizza and my wife got the thick crust, and both were equally good. The prices and good, and the quantity was great. I had to take half of my four slice pizza home for dinner the next day - and it was still wonderful the following night! Now, as to the service. I was really impressed with our server, Kevin, who was actually able to cover the whole room - and did a fantastic job of it. He was very attentive to our needs without being intrusive, giving us a chance to enjoy the food and our conversation. As in the movie "We Are Spinal Tap", I would like to give Kevin an "11" on a scale of "10"! I never got to meet or be introduced to Paul, the Cook/Chef, but based on the food he prepared, I would like to give him an "11" as well! We will be back, and so should you!

Second, the popcorn. The end. Now the bad news. Everything else. We are veterans restaurant/bar/cocktail lounge/ brewery patrons, so should've tuned into the fact that the place was empty at 7:30 even on a Tuesday night. My wife wanted a Chardonnay but was unfamiliar with one of them and asked for a taste. Seriously? What bartender sends a taste of wine in a shot glass with literally a quarter of that shot glass holding a "taste?" My wife had no idea what this wine was supposed to taste like so ordered a glass of Decoy, which was decent but quite overpriced. I ordered a Bellaire Brown out of the can which was cold & non-ruinable, thank God! We ordered a pizza with pepperoni, which used to be quite good here. Not anymore. As hard as it was to believe, in 8 slices there were NINE pieces of pepperoni. Total. We wondered if the kitchen was instructed to only use one piece per slice & maybe an extra one got slipped in by mistake. The pizza was undercooked, crust was tasteless, cheese bland, and sauce was not close to Italian. Maybe Contadina with a little oregano thrown into it. If you're a fan of Red Baron or other frozen pizza, stick to that because it's better. The best part of the pizza was the red pepper flakes we buried it with. I don't know if the new owners are cheap, unaware of why this place was once popular and populated, but we shan't be back soon. And from other recent reviews and the lack of crowd were not the only ones. Sad.

My friend ordered the kabob dinner and said it was good...but over $20 for some veggies is crazy. My gyro and truffle fries....honestly I should have just sent them back. This is one of the most disappointing meals I've had recently. They put a tomato paste on it that I almost requested without, but trusted it would be interesting. It literally tasted like cheap canned tomato paste. Gross and certainly doesn't blend well on a gyro. The lamb meat itself had a decent taste, but the way it is served makes it difficult to eat in a pita. Gyros are typically chopped or shaved lamb which makes it easier to eat and helps ensure you're getting more lamb per bite. Served in these strips, it was just falling apart and not blending with the feta. The fries...terrible. Just terrible. $6 to sub truffle fries which seems like too much but I hadn't had them in a long time so had to go for it. Listed in subs it simply says truffle fries, so I didn't know they were going to be covered in liquid cheese. They ARE listed in appetizers with the full description but I didn't look there until after bc I didn't order an appetizer. The cheese was awful, completely overwhelmed the TINY bit of truffle taste, and SO salty! Take a look at the picture and decide for yourself if the gyro and fries is worth $23. I eat a lot of gyros, and this being the most expensive one I've had is the worst. Heads up that they charge a service fee. Doesn't bother me as I always tip at least 20% but no one pointed that out and I'm not really sure what it's for. Does that go into the servers pocket or? Won't be going back to find out.
