Since I was specifically craving a smash burger, I decided to give it a try. The good news? The food was exactly what I came for. The smash burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked right. The fries were good, too. And as a bonus, they had Cherry Coke Zero -- which is surprisingly hard to find these days. For about $15 including the drink, I thought the price was completely fair for Venice. So why am I talking about 4.9 stars? Because my wife ordered lunch from the Italian place right next door. That's when an interesting comparison happened. I waited about 15-20 minutes for my order. When it was ready, I got up and picked it up myself. The burger came in a takeout container. After I finished eating, I threw everything away myself. Meanwhile, my wife received her food in about five minutes. It was served on a real plate. Someone brought it to the table. Later, a staff member came by to ask if everything tasted good and if she needed anything else. The funny part? She paid only a few dollars more than I did. Both of us left the highest tip option the terminal offered because we appreciated the effort and wanted to support local businesses. And that's exactly when it clicked. Burger Spot serves a very good burger. In fact, I'd happily come back. The food deserves the reputation. But when the restaurant next door delivers a noticeably better overall experience for almost the same money, the difference becomes impossible not to notice. So yes, I'm still giving Burger Spot 5 stars. The burger was good. The fries were good. The price was fair. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant in front isn't your typical "sports bar" - it feels more like a cute, sunny brunch restaurant with high-quality screens for sports viewing - but the clientele feels just like any other sports bar would :) It was very lively and fun to watch with others last night. For the World Cup, they've opened up their event space in the back which is not set up like a typical restaurant - but it was great for viewing! The screens are HUGE and very high-quality.

The combo of caramelized onion, heavy sauce and the sear of the patty is delicious. The fries were also very good and most of them were crispy.
