What is it? Fantastic unique burger that's what it is!

Why aren't there 5MM reviews for this burger! Location: They're a pop up so they're everywhere but I caught them on Abbott Kinney Fri 8/23/24 around 1am near Gjelina in front of that famous bar on the corner with outdoor seating and the standard taco truck. Follow them on instagram to find them @gamgam_burger https://www.instagram.com/gamgam_burger?igsh=dWU0M3k2ODNraDgz Burger: This burger is roughly $16.50 in price, and well worth the money, the drive, and the wait. I was watching people and their reaction as they ate. They said nothing stopped doing everything except eating and were wholly immersed in the experience. Then I got mine and understood. It is a foodie haven experience. Man. They need to license these to high end spots and charge $50 a burger! I can still taste and recall the savory experience. Nothing like it in this world (well at least that I have found so far.) I've traveled quite a bit, and America is home of the burgers and I drove 30K miles across the US (blog to come) and didn't see anything like it so not sure this exist anywhere else. The teriyaki type sauce, mayonnaise combo with the cheese, smashed patties, Hawaiian bread, and over easy fried egg is quite the combo. I was hungry and was like oh man this won't fill me up but it sure did! The flavor isn't too savory it is just right. Limited sodium and a nice balance of sweet in the sauce. The runny egg has you licking your fingers wanting more. I can't say enough about this burger. Feel like I could write an entire blog about it and the delicacy experience. Kudos to these gents, they are truly onto something! Now if America can help them capitalize and spread the love so we can buy these in abundance please!!! I will definitely be on the hunt for these guys in the future. I would hire this company for my wedding reception all day and pay $50 a burger no sweat for the special occasion ;) Congrats on finding and creating a niche gents. Well done! Thank you for the superb foodie experience! A complete vibe!

I stumbled upon this delicious burger tent when I was looking for a coffee BUT THE SMELL OF THESE BURGERS I tell you! Called me like my mother when I was a kid and stayed out too late! The service was good and quick and the fries were crisp like a winter morning in dorchester & the vibe was chill with great music playing. I say that to say Gam Gams Burgers are delicious and a MUST TRY when in the downtown LA area. Thanks again guys!

Gamgam is the incredibly kind owner of this stand and if you're in the area this is a must try in LA. The recipe was created by the owner and his wife, and if the shops not busy you might be lucky enough to talk about vintage cars with this LA Legend. The umami of this burger will make In-n-out lovers wonder if they ever had a real burger. The area also has coffee shops, vintage clothing, and a flower stand for activities to do before or after your once-in-a century burger

Such a yummy & unique spot! The menu is straight to the point and it HITS! They also had some house/jazz music bumping which really set the mood. 10/10 service as well!

Amazing people and food!!! Pop-up at 8th & Santa Fe Ave which also has a coffee shop and shoe store. Oh, it's also a car culture venue as well!!!

Bam this is where the burger happens. Ok so went to a car meet event and it course you all know I'm all about that food life so I pulled up and seen these guys setting up shop and I was already hooked. So while they where setting up I walked around enjoying the event, and then it happened they where open for business, my stomach was growling and placed my order of course I had to get a Combo, it came with the best smash burger with cheese and to top it off with a egg just made the world better. Also a bag of chips and a drink, They guys running the show where on point friendly and service was with great attitude and energy. Anyway I grabbed my burger went to eat it and was amazed at the flavors and of course my fingers had some egg on them so it made the burger finger licken good. Five thumbs up for bringing it. I'll catch them again. Follow them on insta to catch um.

This place will ruin all other burgers for you...Easily the best burger I've ever had--no exaggeration! Everything from the perfectly toasted bun to the flavorful saucy combination is just next level. You can tell it's crafted with intention, not just slapped together. The balance of textures, the seasoning, the sauce... insane. If you're a burger lover (or even if you're not), this place will make you a regular. 10/10.

Yoooooo! Best kept secret burger spot, tucked away in a lot with a coffee shop! Classic cars parked all over the place, definitely worth a try!

Honestly best burger I've ever had in my life! Now they went and added a fried chicken sandwich...what?! Game changer! Run don't walk to gamgam!

I've been to this taco stand & never had a problem. But after getting a carne asada quesadilla and…read morecarne asada taco ($16), that I was unable to eat, because the meat tasted like gas. I had ingested several bites of it, (with hot sauce), but I couldn't take another bite. The meat was chemically contaminated & I got sick not long after for the whole night. It was important for me to tell the person that runs the stand. I had the best of intentions to help this business and wanted nothing in return. I walked up to the stand & asked the woman who takes the cash, (with the sharp eyebrows), if I could please speak to the person in charge, (or owner). At first she ignored me & then said, "I don't understand - no speak English." I asked who speaks English and she sent me to the back of the line by the cooks. I stood there for another 10 minutes and no one wanted to talk to me or answer my question. I told them that there was a big problem with their meat the night before & had brought back the entire meal, so they could try the meat. No one did anything except talk to each other in Spanish, (which I understood). The cook graciously offered me a replacement meal & tried to problem solve. The tall man, who spoke English, (as shown next to cashier Karen in the photo), was going to give me a replacement meal. I waited 15-20 minutes. I asked for the chicken quesadilla, and the vitriol that came out of cashier Karen, who said she didn't speak English was unbelievable. She refused to give me any food and said I had to pay $6 for the replacement taco. I tried to tell her that it was a replacement and she kept yelling aggressively at me and said, "no - you pay $6. You're not getting anything " and that I, "never bought any taco." She became angry and verbally abusive because I was getting a replacement meal, as a solution to my getting chemically poisoned. She was a bully and aggressively yelling at me to humiliate me in front of the other customers & personnel. By this time she had no problem speaking English. (A group of young ladies started talking to me, felt bad that I was the focus of cashier Karen's rudeness. They complimented me & wished me a good night.) The guy next to cashier Karen handed me the bag with the quesadilla. I asked cashier Karen for her name and she ignored me. Then I asked the guy next to her what her name was and he put his hands together like duck lips and rudely opened and closed his hand at me, (meaning that I'm talking to much) This was extremely inappropriate & as soon as I left, I threw the food out, because I didn't trust or hold it past any of them to have put something nasty in my food. By the way, there was never a possibility that I would be refunded. By this time I was so upset, I was sorry that I had generously tipped them the night before. Even cashier Karen's response to the tip had been of surprise; but then I remembered she had not even acknowledged it or said thank you, after receiving it. What this staff does not, is that I owned and operated a successful fine dining restaurant & wedding venue for 17 years. I have done consulting for small restaurant businesses, pro bono, in order for the businesses to financially thrive. I know how food is cooked, how it should be stored, when the oil needs to be changed, marketing, accounting, et al., as well as the health dept's requirements, in order to keep the public healthy and well. What I believe happened to the meat and reason I took my food back to the taco stand; is because they had been out of chicken. Since there was a meat shortage, more carne asada needed to be barbecued quickly. An abundance of lighter fluid was used to quicken the process & it possibly got on the grill, where the meat is placed; and the cooking process started well before the coals were ready. It shouldn't matter whether you go to a restaurant, food truck or taco stand, customers should be treated with respect, kindness & consideration - and it's called customer service. A customer shouldn't be lied to, yelled at, insulted and humiliated by any employee of the business. It should be run in a transparent and professional manner. I'm 64 yrs young & have never written one negative comment or review about any restaurant. Nor have I ever been treated with such disrespect, malice and ill intent. I felt it important to tell my story because nobody should experience what I did; in eating compromised food and then being made to feel like I did something bad. This is what bullies do and I've never had a problem in clarifying right from wrong, as well as responsibility and accountability. I didn't have a choice and had to give a star.

I paid around $12-13 for a hiho dbl and i thought it was a great deal for the quality. The hiho dbl was juicy and delicious. I really liked how the patties were made slightly medium. The toppings were awesome and I loved the pickle crunch. However, it does need raw onions options, especially with something pretty fatty. Also, I just wished the burger was seasoned a little better. It was great overall though. Though I appreciate the grass fed and grass finished, why not follow through with grass fed and grass finished tallow for fries? Not sure why they're still using vegetable oil for fries. Otherwise, this place would be better imo. Service was quick and friendly. There was seating inside, but the area around was so nice that we decided to just eat this outside.

The restaurant shares a gated parking lot with REl, which kindly validates two hours. Inside the restaurant, the vibe was quiet with a music playlist going. I ordered the HiHo Burger and French Fries, which was ready for dine in about 10 minutes. HiHo burgers are grass-fed, grass-finished Wagyu burgers. The burger, though smaller than an In-N-Out Double-Double, was good with melted cheese, onions, and fresh lettuce. The cashier asked me if I wanted my burger with Side Matty Sauce, and so I did. The fries were fine, but in my honest opinion could be a larger serving. At $10.45, HiHo is in a higher price level than In-N-Out and Shakeshack, but of comparable quality of taste. Worth a visit, but not at the top of my list. Will give HiHo a solid 4 star rating.
