Got the hot pastrami sandwich and it was excellent. Pickles were also top tier, highly recommend!

Nice deli with good Jewish food , chopped liver and bagel chips are great also nice knishes, lots of frozen foods and fresh foods.

Don't go anywhere else! First time at Larry Levine's, worked with Todd, and brought home a delish, Rosh Hashanah meal, worthy of any kindred table. it's not easy to crank out fresh, MOIST, authentically flavorful pounds and pounds of cooked brisket, chicken, tzimmes, stuffed cabbage, matzah ball soup, etc., but they did!!!! And it was easy or order and easy to pick up. Additionally, excellent sliced corned beef. Todd is a winner-cool under pressure and generous. We'll be back all year round! read more

I love a family owned business, and the Levine family runs a great deli. This place has fantastic meats, of course, but also knishes and latkes and all my faves, in addition to fresh baked breads and the classic Dr. Brown's to wash it all down. Their friendly service and great food means I always end up making two trips back to my car, and usually snacking on my way home. I can't say enough about Levine's Meat Market. read more

Four stars and change for fresh and tasty bagel accoutrements. Tubs are filled without air pockets as applicable. Sable is pricey but delicious, and both the smoked whitefish and the herring pickled in white wine made me close my eyes with happiness. Six months after moving to Newburyport, I was searching for a good deli. I found my mark. Larry Levine is well-known as a caterer, serving his deli cuts, chickens, and knishes up and down the metro Boston region to synagogues and functions. Seems he also has a kitchen where he and his staff not only prepare everything for the catering business but also sell products to the general public. This is a Kosher deli. You could say it's glatt-Kosher, or synagogues wouldn't buy from him. He sells several cuts of meat (corned beef, roast beef, pastrami, turkey pastrami, bologna, liver) and several spreads (cole slaw, whitefish salad, tunafish, sable, salmon). A butcherie, Levine sells various styles of beef as well as a large selection of chickens, knishes, and soups. There are also non-perishable goods, such as herring, pickles, and breads. read more

I invited a few people over for a little Chanukah party. I decided to take it easy and buy things rather than doing a lot of cooking. The only Jewish deli in my extended area was Larry Levine's. I went in and said I was new to the store - no welcome, no smile, he couldn't have cared less. He was rather grumpy and his helper wasn't of much use. I bought 2 containers of clear chicken soup and I would add the finings at home. It was so incredibly salty, I couldn't use it. AND, there was a hair in it that wasn't mine. I have silver hair and it's rather straight and the hair in the soup was black and quite curly. EW! I bought 2 dozen latkes - also super salty, so no way to fix them, even with sour cream or applesauce. I also bought 2 dozen matzo balls. They were okay and edible. All in all, I spent $55.00 and the only thing properly edible was a block of halvah, which I don't think they made. AND, I also had wanted chopped liver - chicken chopped liver. I have never been to a Jewish deli that didn't have it. Levine's only carries beef chopped liver. Oh, and it's cash, check, or Venmo only. No credit or debit cards, which is inconvenient. Truly disappointing all the way around. It's really worth it go to Brookline to get good deli! read more

The day my father died, I called Levine's to order a platter for the funeral the next day. They refused because they said that they were too busy because it was the week before Passover. I had to beg them since I had no alternative and they begrudgingly agreed. I will NEVER do business with them again. read more

No no no, this is not good kosher deli. I spent 60 dollars on deli, that's a lot for one person. I bought all my favorites. Here's what I thought. The tongue was very salty, too much so. The corned beef was tough, tough, tough. Chopped liver tasted sour. Matzoh balls were delicious. Scallion cream cheese, yummy and lox not bad, definitely ok slightly fishy. Didn't buy rye bread, it seems in Massachusetts they think rye bread is rectangle, it's Not! Oval shaped, crusty and delicious soft inside with lots of seeds. Connecticut and New York know and love their kosher deli, Massachuttes get with the program or give it up. I ended up throwing away $30 or more of Larry Levines food. Fool me once, don't get a second time. read more

It will do in a pinch, but it's no New York Jewish deli (or even Rheins). The sandwiches are OK, but not fantastic, and they lack my all-time favorite (brisket), which I desperately want to find somewhere close by. I somewhat pathetically ask for it each time I go anyway just in case. Corned beef is pretty good. Good prepared Matzoh-ball soup. Can't personally speak to the quality of the butchered meats, but it appears as if they do a good job with them. Don't forget to bring cash if you go- not taking credit cards is a major inconvenience if you are buying more than just a sandwich. read more

It's good! Lean corn beef, decent kugel and a variety of knishes. A tad pricey!

Levine's catered a large event for our regional jewish youth group (400 people) with wonderful food and service for a whole weekend . One of the youth group leaders said that Shabbat dinner was the best he had ever eaten at one of these gatherings. The catering team bent over backwards to help us throughout the weekend, including accommodating several serious food allergies. The best! read more

Meh, went in to try the corned beef at a co-workers suggestion. Just average sandwich I could have made myself at home. Don't get what his raving was about. I was after a 2 fister deli style corned beef sandwich, not the right place. read more

Saw the sign when passing by... They are in pre-Pesach mode, so not necessarily a fair test, but the cold cuts looked good, they had sable fish (not so easy to find around here), the meat looked very nice and I got some of their excellent chopped liver. It was amazing; mild, creamy, lovely texture, nice taste of carmelized onions. I'll be back after the holiday! read more

Year after year my family orders fresh turkies from them. Year after year when we open them they are frozen in the cavity. They are Empire brand anyways but when I confronted the store i was told that it was that they received a good chill at the plant. They received a good chill alright, in the FREEZER! What a bunch of guniffs passing off frozen birds at $3.59/lb. Never again go to Wegman's as they sell frozen Empire birds for less money. At least they are honest about this. read more
