Went tonight and it was terrible. The server was over booked at the tables so we were ignored for a while only to find out several standards were sold out. Back up plan and the fries came out cold and just couldn't get a a 2nd round of drinks and then asked for the bill only to wait even longer. Our party of 4 were seated outside which was lovely. We waited 30 minutes, the server walked by multiple times, we were never acknowledged. Gave up and left. May give them another chance in a few months. Perhaps they are having staffing issues? I've probably been to Lewis' at least 10 times since moving to Norwood in 2018. My wife and I absolutely love this place and it's one of our go-to restaurants in the area. I've never had anything I disliked on the menu, but the normal choices cycle through the Reuben, Cubano, any of the burgers and any of the steak tips. The only negative about Lewis' is that on Friday and Saturday's it is absolutely packed and hectic. read more

Doesn't even deserve a star. This place has the worst service ever. I booked an igloo 2 weeks ago and they cancelled day of. I tried reserving on Tuesday for a birthday dinner Thursday night. The man I spoke to said they don't take reservations anymore. We went tonight and they said we needed a reservation. Unbelievable! Thanks for ruining a family birthday celebration! Lewis's is pretty much a Norwood staple. It's been around since before the 40s and it features some great, affordable food options alongside some cold drinks. Whether you want to grab a cold one and a snack or feast on one of their famous burgers, there's something for everyone. One thing that does help them stand apart from other bars though is their OVC cocktail: an orange vodka collins which features some freshly squeeze OJ. It's amazing. While I have yet to return and try one of their famous burgers, on the other hand, I've had their buffalo chicken bar pizza ($10.50) which was great and had a nice kick and featured all of the appropriate accoutrements including scallions and gorgonzola. I also had a size of tater tots ($3.50) which I split with the girlfriend as well. The place itself is very well maintained and is spacious. There's multiple rooms and I believe that there's two bars? I'm not 100% sure, the layout was a bit weird but the place is pretty busy with locals and everyone seemed to have a good time. We sat at the bar and the service was friendly. I do intend on returning at some point soon and try their famous steak tips (they have 5 different kinds!) or maybe a burger instead. But if you're looking for a spot with reasonably priced, American food or to grab a beer, or both, this is the spot. And they also host Stump Trivia every Tuesday. Personally, they converted me when I saw the barkeep squeeze the OJ to my order of the OVC. Awesome touch. read more

The first time I went I thought it was just the cutest little place I've ever seen in my entire godforsaken minimalistic-restaurant-loving selfless heavenly-humbled blessed life. But recently, it's like a cinder block hit the chef right in his temporal lobe! We've been here a handful of times and always though of it as an average bar. Stopped in tonight for an anniversary dinner with my fiancé and the bartender Michelle was INCREDIBLE! We have never had such amazing service. The whole place was PACKED (hour and a half wait for a table) but Michelle made sure to check on us frequently and never left a drink go empty! After dinner she recommended a "dessert" drink and made the most DELICIOUS Reese's martini. I've never had such a personable and attentive server/bartender. Lewis' was a place I frequented 25+ years ago before kids. It's become our new go-to place. They have nailed the outdoor dining. My husband has gotten the lobster roll every time and loves it. I get the teriyaki steak tips and they are like butter. Off and on the kids have been home and have joined us. My daughter loved the Gorgonzola steak tips and my son orders the Texas burger with an egg. Last night he discovered the French dip and he loved it. We will continue to dine out here during quarantine. Staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. Tables are kept very clean. Overall a great experience in this uncertain time. Thank you! read more

Not a great experience. Was seated at a dirty table, remnants of chicken fingers and sticky. Asked for it to be wiped down when waitress came over to take our order. She said she would send someone over. Never happened. I ended up wiping the chicken fingers off with my napkin couldn't get the stickiness away. Then food came. One son got the burger which he enjoyed. I got the swordfish taco otherwise know as cabbage taco with hint of sword fish, enough for one bite per taco. Other some got chicken fingers. They came out completely burnt, inedible with honey mustard sauce spilled all over the fingers and fries. Absolute nonsense. Asked for the meal to be replaced which the waitress did. Except she brought 3 instead of 5 chicken fingers and half the fries. Gave two stars instead of one because the burger was good and waitress was alone waiting on 10 tables. read more

Had a great meal. The waitress was very attentive and the food was delicious. We had soup, chili and wings. Honestly best wings I've had ever. Perfectly cooked and very flavorful. We sat outside in the Alley which had nice heaters. Next time we want to try an igloo with our kids. read more

The bathrooms are a little crude but were whatever. I understand it's a dive bar, but nevertheless I think it deserves about 2.5 stars. (Neither a pro or a con, but understand the average age on a Friday night on the "bar side" was about 45 or 50--- not what we expected!) Cons: -Bathrooms were out of order. Maybe there were other bathrooms on the grill side, but since this was our first time here, I can't be sure. -Very limited beer on tap options. What they had was a mix of expected beers, with the exception of one craft beer from Colorado. -You can be a dive bar but still be clean. This place was not clean. Even if we wanted to stay and eat, after seeing the disgusting grill behind the bar and the overall state of the "bar side," I never would have felt comfortable eating here. Maybe the grill side is better. Pros: -Although we did not order food, the menu was bigger and more diverse than I anticipated it would be. -The bartender provided good service. -They have a little booth to buy lottery/keno tickets. -They were obviously going for a dive bar atmosphere, and they definitely met expectations. Classic American Bar. This bar checks a lot of boxes for me: solid tap list, good food (pizza is excellent) and exceptional service. A couple of times a year, I meet my buddies at Trillium Brewing in Canton, then head to Lewis' for dinner. We've come to love this part of the night because the burgers are outstanding, the domestic beers are cheap and the no-nonsense service from behind the bar is perfectly fine.
