Nice cafe offering breakfast and lunch items. Today we had breakfast with a New Mexican flair. Burrito was filling and smothered in a green chili sauce with cheese. Breakfast plate was reminiscent of biscuits and gravy but with potatoes instead of biscuits. Both were tasty. Counter order from menu posted on display, but served to your table. From the friendly and professional staff, to the homey and airy environment, the drinks (coffee and tea), and the wonderful food from light items, vegetarians and meat eaters, to hearty meals. When entering it seems small but there are more tables and seats around the corner however the front area is a nice place to eat and socialize. Overall: 4.5 Stars Food: 4 Stars Got the Farmers Plate. Items consist of scrambled eggs, fried home potatoes, sausage and covered in cheese and pepper gravy. Tasty and cheesy. We've been visiting a well established breakfast/brunch/lunch destination not too far from home. For us, Eagle River has not proved to be a Mecca for breakfast stops; which makes Lexies all the more welcome. They even offer wi/fi. I will concede it's a very popular carry out, but it's also a charming, inviting little bistro that we find very relaxing. The ladies are all wonderful and provide for your every need. No exaggerations! Mrs. E. absolutely loves the Chicken and Cranberry salad with the Raspberry vinaigrette. I recommend the Clubhouse Supreme. Bacon, turkey, ham, cheddar, swiss, lettuce, tomato and mayo. I have mine on white. The Classic Rueben isn't bad, either. Since there's free refills on the coffee, I bring my own large mug and get the colour just right. Let it cool and nurse it. 05/23 read more

Their sandwiches are top notch. Unassuming place but can't beat the value. You get a lot of sandwich for your dollar.

Just a heads up, if you order an iced drink, and they mess up and give you a hot one instead. They will refuse to remake it and offer either "a cup or ice" or the option to purchase your drink AGAIN. We've came to Lexie's a lot. And never had a problem. But won't likely be going back because of this. When you order and pay for something, you expect to get what you ordered, and if it comes wrong, that mistake should not be placed onto the customer, the item should be remade the way it was ordered. read more

Ambiance is family oriented with a back room if you want more privacy. The decor is farmers market/country store.... Super cute. I've gotten lunch from this cafe a few times. I must admit I more often go here to pick up sweet treats from Red's Custom Baked Goods, which is also located in the space. The cafe itself is super cute, and well decorated in a farmhouse style. They also sell some locally made trinkets. Staff is always friendly, and service is quick. They have daily lunch specials to add to their menu, and have 2 soups to choose from daily. I've gotten only lunch here so I can't comment on the breakfast, but I've heard good things! Their sandwiches and wraps are always hearty, and they don't skimp on ingredients. I wish their sandwiches came with a side like chips, or potato salad. The salad came with some toasted bread, which was a nice touch. I really enjoyed the southwestern wrap special I got from them a few months ago. I got it with a side of New England style clam chowder (specials come with soup), and it was pretty tasteless, and watered down. The soup is the only item I have had from them that I didn't enjoy though! Great salads, sandwiches and wraps! This is a great spot in Eagle River to get some lunch. read more

I read a few reviews about Lexie's and finally managed to remember to stop in. With my cousin and her BFF visiting, we went into Eagle River to run a few errands. Both coffee and food were on our minds, I suggested we stop by a cute little place I heard good things about. Well... I'm so glad we did! Modest amounts of farmhouse decor and about half a dozen tables. Cute little sit down dining options or grab a beverage and pastry to go. It was a hoppin' place while we were there. Plenty of people in and out the door. A couple so called breakfast bowls and an avocado toast with three different froo froo coffee's were ordered and we took our seats. I say so called breakfast bowl because 1: It wasn't a bowl, it was served on a plate, and 2: It was a huge portion! Pleasantly large portion that actually made up another breakfast since neither of us could finish it, so my husband ended up with a second breakfast too. The avocado toast was large and packed full of delicious goodness. Service was fairly quick and pleasant. All the gals were really polite and made couple trips to the tables in between guests to ensure we were taken care of. I'll definitely be back... it may be a while, but I look forward to trying something new, because the menu, although not excessively large, looked excellent! read more

Great little cozy spot! I was looking for a small breakfast spot and stumbled on this one. My yelp search only pulled 2 breakfast type spots in this area. Theres a good selection of food to enjoy. I chose to have a chicken, bacon and ranch sandwich. It was delicious but I would not order again ONLY because I do not like whole pieces of chicken, I prefer thin slices of sandwich meat. Love this little shop in Eagle River. Tucked away in a strip mall in the center of town, it's a hidden gym. They have a small menu but what they do, they do well. Sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, loaded toast, soups, etc. They also have delicious baked goods, coffee and cold drinks. These ladies take pride in what they're serving and it shows. read more

Great new spot for breakfast in Eagle River! Breakfast outside of Anchorage can be challenging. There's not much going on in the valley, nor on the drive out. This place is a big fat exception! It appears like a grab-n-go place by the photos and reviews, but I'm here to tell you it's also very much a sit-down joint! You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. I got a big mug of black coffee and a breakfast burrito. I was surprised to find that the burrito was wet. The coffee had free refills. They also have WiFi, and, unlike 99% of this state, it's not slow as molasses! Staff were charming and friendly. Give them a shot! read more

I wanted to love this place since everyone raves about it in reviews but to me its honestly overhyped. I've tried the sandwiches, good bread and fresh ingredients other than their bacon.... is always undercooked its kinda gross. Tried the breakfast burrito, the flavors were good but inside once again undercooked bacon and cheap sausage looks like Jimmy Dean. I know they make nice amount of $, so they could at least get better quality meats. Their coffee from what Ive tried, was not very good. It is also quite pricey here and doesnt live up to what they charge. $15 for a mid sandwich with no sides? you have to pay for those separate. One piece of loaded toast is $8.50. kinda ridiculous and the avacado tasted prepackaged not fresh. They have good pastries tho. The ambience is nice and service is always good so thats why I gave 3 stars solely for service. read more

We had lunch today with friends and it was our first visit. My granddaughter did the ordering for us as we were late as usual. Five of us had sandwiches and one had an enormous salad that was piled high with fresh greens, tomatoes , cranberries and Feta cheese. At least a half cup of bright white Feta and a raspberry dressing served on the side. One sandwich was a four cheese with on two thick grilled slices of fresh homemade bread. My wife had a grilled Club Sandwich that she said was delicious. One of my granddaughters had a grilled BLT and the other had a grilled cheese sandwich both filled with ample ingredients and with great fresh bread. I had the Classic Ruben that was one of the best I have ever had. The thick fresh homemade bread lightly grilled with pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss Cheese and Russian Dressing was a gourmets delight. It is a decorated in a retro era comfortable and mid 1900's style. Tasteful and interesting to view as you wait for your order. Service was reasonably fast and very friendly and efficient. Family friendly and very healthy eating is the goal. They have eat in and a couple of outside tables as well as take out. I can't wait to return and try other healthy and delicious offerings on their limited menu. This promises to be one of Eagle River's best cafe. read more

Just right amount of spiciness. Scratch made green chili. Delicious. I appreciated the lighter protein-packed keto plate. A really nice offering as opposed to heavy, carb-laden breakfasts. We also really appreciated the friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, professionally-dressed staff. Sierra was especially helpful and took a minute to visit with us. I went here with my mom January 2020, and this is a great local lunch spot. There is a lot of organic, fresh, and diet friendly foods. The cafe is located in the building next to the Matanuska Brewery, and is easy enough to miss. The restaurant itself is very charming, and has limited seating. The staff/owner are super friendly and accommodating. The lunch was portioned quite perfectly, and this is one of my mom's favorite places to lunch. read more

Yum! I'm a fan of a good sandwich. These are so good they are sammiches. I have only tried one so far, the BLTA. Boy was it good!! The food always comes out super fast, and they whip up the espresso drinks very quickly as well. The environment of the cafe is warm and comforting.
