I'm providing this feedback for one key reason. I'd like this restaurant to survive and if what we experienced today continues, it most certainly will not. We spent about $40 and all left hungry. Two kids meals and two adult "plates" - one chicken and one gyro. Our kids meals were sad and sparse. They served one child something that tasted like canned chicken with a "salad" consisting of chopped cucumber, onion and tomatoes with herbs. Nothing about that salad was kid-friendly or even appetizing. Our other child had chicken and rice and it was okay. Neither child received enough food so I had to feed them when we got home. $5 is cheap but I would expect it to be more than the little container provided. Increase your price so you can at least provide them with enough food. The adults had the chicken and gyro plates. Same "salad" on our plates which neither of us cared for. The pita was thin and not very tasty. The hummus was bland. I had to salt mine to be able to eat it which as a hummus fan, is a first. The meat was in tiny pieces instead of nice succulent slices from their rotisserie. The napkins were like rough, crispy school paper towels instead of soft and absorbent. We love Mediterranean food and have other places around town we enjoy. This place however is close to our neighborhood so we are hopeful that you all will get it together. Leyla's is authentic and delicious. Service was spot on and the portions were enormous. I had the chicken and gyro plate - fantastic.

It's the old Big Cat BBQ in Cedar Park. It was...meh. The baba ghanoush and the falafel were good. The beef and lamb kebab were dry; the beef was laced with a tomato like sauce. The pita bread on the gyro was soggy. We dined in and there are no COVID measures in place; the tables are not spaced apart and none of the staff are wearing masks. There's no sign stating that a new cup should be used at the soda fountain. read more

Great Mediterranean cuisine at ridiculously low prices, served by very nice, polite people. The portions are modest but plenty, I am a big man and I walked away quite satisfied. I had the Mixed Kebab Plate, I chose Lamb & Kafta and Hummus & House Salad with Flatbread. My brother had the Chicken & Gyro Plate with Greek Salad & Hummus with Flatbread. We also shared an appetizer Falafel with Tahini. All was wonderfully prepared and served promptly with pride in their product. You can't go wrong with this husband & wife run business. I had noticed Leyla's for a while now every time I drove to work and wanted to stop in. I love Mediterranean food and was excited Leyla's opened up in Cedar Park. My husband and I decided it would be a good Sunday evening spot for a take out dinner! First, I'd like to say that the staff was SO friendly. The guy who was behind the counter was warm and enthusiastic (which is a rare find these days in food service.) Our food was pretty tasty and came out hot and quickly. We also ended up having plenty of leftovers. I also really enjoyed the beautiful camel painting they had hanging on the wall. I appreciate establishments who put some thought into their decor. So after visiting this place a couple times I have found my favorite dish. It's the chicken kebabs with eggplant (puree), which is delicious, and I'm not sold on the hummus but it's still good. I just wish they would give bigger sides but at the end of my meal I was very satisfied and almost in a food coma lol. I'm glad that we have a good Mediterranean place in Cedar Park. My go to is the chicken shawarma wrap - love the homemade pickles in the mix. The hummus is absolutely delicious! My husband enjoys the beef shawarma plate - you can tell it's authentic by the spices in it. Very delicious served over seasoned rice. I believe I spoke with the owner when I placed my order, very nice and friendly. I ordered to go and food was ready quickly. Food is inexpensive overall for what you get. My only reason for not 5 stars is that when I order the chicken shawarma to go, by the time I get home it is very cold. Like not warm at all and you cannot reheat it because it's full of vegetables and sauce. I still love it because it's flavorful but I just wish maybe they could put the sauce on the side to keep it hot or at least warm by the time it arrives home (I may ask to do that next time). The ambiance and decor could use some sprucing up (it still looks just like Big Cat BBQ) and I wish they had more Greek dishes (like Spanakopita, tiropita and mizithra) but for what they do have it's very good. Pretty good! I had the beef shawarma wrap with fried mushrooms and grape leaves. I have to say my favorite part of the meal was the grape leaves, 10/10 would recommend (though it was all pretty good). My only critique is that it took a while to come out, but I'd say worth the wait. read more

I have eaten here several times and each time I've ordered something different because everything looks so delicious and I can honestly say everything I have eaten so far IS absolutely delicious! The chicken kebab with rice was perfectly seasoned and the hummus was a perfect addition along with the falafel. Soooo good! I don't know how they make their sauces but they are so delicious on their wraps. I decided to try the fries with a wrap on one occasion and oh my gosh I didn't expect them to be so addictive!! I don't like ketchup so they offered their garlic sauce as a dipping sauce for my fries and I must say it was amazing!!! We usually top off the meal with some baklava which I am very particular about as some baklava is way too sweet but not Leyla's. I love family owned restaurants and supporting them! The owners of Leyla's not only take care to provide the best quality fresh made Mediterranean food but they are extremely personable and make you feel so welcome! Alaa and Courtney (the owners) were eating while I was there, and were kind enough to share some of their story with me.. Just the most friendly and gracious couple who clearly love their customers and love serving people... I enjoyed my time with them, and if it didn't feel like an imposition, I would have liked to sit down with them and spend time! Now, on to the food - this is Cedar Park's best kept secret. Fresh, high quality ingredients, and you can taste them. I had the gyro, and the portions were full, the taste and flavor were off the charts, and everything just seemed so fresh. I was not expecting to be so impressed, but I was, and this has just become my new go-to for dining. My wife (who wasn't with me) asked me to bring home a Greek salad, "if it looked good" and - let me just quote her, upon her first bite: "oh my Gawd" Equally important is their commitment to the community. During our small talk, they explained to me how, during the construction of their restaurant, they used exclusively local and family businesses. Everything from the signage, to the painting, to the countertops - everything was done with local family businesses, all within walking distance of the store. How cool is that? Any one of these would be a compelling reason to do business with them, but none of it matters unless the food is legit, and IT IS! Stopped in on my second visit to Leyla's for some dinner to take home and to see if they could match the very high satisfaction I had on my first visit. Was greeted with a very friendly welcome as soon as I came in. The guys in the back were very busy, but were very quick to take my order. Got home and enjoyed a fantastic meal. All the veggies were fresh, cool, juicy, and delicious. I had their Specialty Over Rice with gyro meat and LOVED it. Huge portions, fresh veggies, delicious special sauce, and well seasoned meat made for a fantastic meal. My wife had the Greek salad with gyro meat and loved it (she can be pretty hard to please). I will never ever eat here again. If you have allergies that require food modification, I wouldn't either. They were informed over 5 times I have a food allergy. I was told they would remake it. They then proceeded to scream in the kitchen over the course of 10 minutes at each other. They did not remake the item as they claimed to. Instead, they picked the item out of my food and didn't even remove all of it. When we called to ask why this happened we were told that I didn't tell them. Which I did, repeatedly. The store was not busy. Unless you want to foot a medical bill over someone's ego, I'd avoid this place. I'll be telling everyone about this until then. It could save a life. read more

Wow. GREAT gyro! Don't pass this place up. It's not an impressive looking place but the food is so good, I will certainly be back.

The chicken shawarma plate is so good and I can usually get 2 meals out of it! Lots of chicken and rice and the hummus is tasty.

The cashier that wears the visor that focuses all his breathing directly onto you food before you get it has always been subpar at best. Today I saw him walk out to grab something on the other side of the counter right up to a customer without a mask or his visor on. If that wasn't bad enough I guess the person in front of me was missing something for their order and wasn't leaving the register area after they took down what she missed. Pretty annoyed but I figured the cashier would do something about it but no he just started doing busywork ignoring everyone. I waited for a minute or two but I left and am done with this place. The young rude boy who was at the counter, never greeted me, made suggestions or thanked me. Acted as if I was wasting his time...no one else was in there. First time in there as a customer, you should be a little more considerate. Then there is the food. Let me say that their hummus is awful. Tasted sour and it had nothing to do with lemon. The pita bread was so hard you could have used it on your elbows or feet to smooth those babies out. The meat...dry and chewy. Here's the deal. You get one chance with me....you get one opportunity to make a great impression not just with me but with every single person who walks through your doors. If you don't deliver the service or serve up good and fresh food, then you get what you get and that's future loss of business. It's that simple. Will not be one of those returning customers.
