I did my gum graft and crown here, and both were fantastic experiences. When I had an issue after my gum graft, they squeezed me in asap to get me checked out. And with my crown, the fact that I can get my crown made and put in on the same day was so convenient. Even the basic dental cleanings were always efficient and done with detail. Dr. Nguyen is fantastic, and he's well supported with his office staff who always check in and go above and beyond for my care! Thankful I have a dental group I trust and can stay with long term.

And then they started to upsell and push a $1,200 cleaning... They were justifying the claim that they look out 5 to 10 years out, also saying they can't do a full cleaning since it will impact the quality of the future specialized cleaning and after they report to insurance I would be locked out and not able to be covered for it in the future if I did not do it today it would be more expensive later over $2k. So of course cleaning was really rushed. I went to my old dentist a month after and they said it looked like my teeth were not cleaned or polished since they last saw me. I sent the X rays/imaging from the visit to a dentist friend and they said it was a very extreme solution for something that can be managed with personal routine changes. They are entitled to their opinion and how they operate as a business nothing against them. This is a heads up if you decide to go in.

The second fell off and she had ground it so low they were almost unable to fix it. Because Dr. Joe is a perfectionist, he was determined to find the root, which he did, packed that baby with enough dental cement that will keep my tooth strong for as long as my body will allow. I felt uncomfortable after getting so many x-rays and asked for them to stop. She said there were only a few more and tried to push the guard back into my mouth, and I had to move my head to prevent it like a toddler. I got up and left shaking. The reason I felt uncomfortable was that I had gotten x-rays the last three visits, and I was told I HAD to get more because I changed insurance. This turned out not to be true -- my partner, who is on the same insurance, did NOT require x-rays. When I asked about it, Tina gave me multiple conflicting reasons that contradicted my own chart. I don't believe these x-rays were necessary, and I was given a reason for them that wasn't true. I'd encourage anyone going here to request your medical records, as I'm doubtful I'm the only one. A message to the Dr. was unanswered. Shame on both of you.
