She took the time to thoroughly explain everything, walked me through all of my treatment options, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the process. She's knowledgeable, compassionate, and an outstanding dentist. Since I don't have dental insurance, I was worried about the cost, but the office manager, Tina, went above and beyond to help me find affordable cash-pay options. I've been going here for over 20 years. No problems. My last visit for a routine cleaning was the worst experience I've ever had at a business. I felt uncomfortable after getting so many x-rays and asked for them to stop. She said there were only a few more and tried to push the guard back into my mouth, and I had to move my head to prevent it like a toddler. I got up and left shaking. The reason I felt uncomfortable was that I had gotten x-rays the last three visits, and I was told I HAD to get more because I changed insurance. This turned out not to be true -- my partner, who is on the same insurance, did NOT require x-rays. When I asked about it, Tina gave me multiple conflicting reasons that contradicted my own chart. I don't believe these x-rays were necessary, and I was given a reason for them that wasn't true. I'd encourage anyone going here to request your medical records, as I'm doubtful I'm the only one. My family had been referred to this dentist a few years ago. Initial, we had been thrilled as the doctor we had been introduced to seemed kind and compassionate and genuinely interested in our health. However, as the years had gone by and that doctor had moved to another practice, i found that the way this dental office is run is a bit dishonest to say the least. I had come to this dentist expecting more as my option with Cal-Optima are limited. I came to this office expecting to be taken care of, but found the dentist that had done my cleaning found my mouth in particularly bad shape, and decided to inform me my cleaning will be charged $300 as opposed to $99 as originally quoted. I bit my tongue and agreed to it as i expected the hygienist to be in my best interest. No. I received a standard cleaning, just charged more for the hygienist's trouble. You could see the stark visible annoyance at my apparent lack of dental hygiene. Fast forward a year and the same shady dealings were passed to the rest of my family. Mind you, my father is a retired government employee with Blue Shield Blue Cross PPO with extensive dental history... But apparently, extra costs must be incurred to treat his ever so rotting mouth. Please avoid this dentist for financial reasons as a cleaning should never cost as much as a filling. Thank you Tina for being kind these past few years. My mother in law came here previously but was charged a ridiculous amount to get a tooth fixed so I called to get X-rays emailed over to another dental office and the one who was helping me was very rude. I'm guessing her name is Tina because other Yelp reviews complain of her too but her accent sounded like she was Asian which I have nothing against that but when I asked to see when it will be sent over politely to let the other dental office know she immediately got very upset and "said I don't know I just got here it will get done whenever I get a chance." That attitude was uncalled for especially since I wasn't demanding for it to get done right now, I just simply wanted to know so the other office can expect it. If that's how they treat their patients don't come here. I work in a hospital and do not talk to any of my patients like that especially if I wasn't given an attitude back. read more

Dr. Farshin Farokhian knows his business great dentist here I know he wont hurt me and I come out feeling great no pain at all maybe sometimes soreness but very little. Lake Forest Dental Center is a state of the art dental office that delivers on quality and a wonderful experience. The staff is thoughtful and always works with my schedule and difficult insurance to ensure I am well taken care of. I have been extremely thrilled with all of my dental work and I have been guided with care through all the major fixes, fillings and chips that needed attended to. I'm have been a patient of Dr Fong and Dr Farokhian because I have found their communication to be flawless. Several times I've had to split up major dental work projects over time due to my travel schedule and requested that I see both Dentist to accompanied my limited time in town and I was extremely impressed with their professional and seem less handoff process and the care they gave me. The office uses amazingly modern technology and techniques and is easygoing, highly competent, thorough and creative in their work. And their numbing shot technique is like no other I've experienced. I automatically get mentally ready for the shot , I open my mouth, and then I'm like, "Wait what? It's over?" It's magic ;) Seriously. The front staff could not be nicer or more friendly. They remind me I have an appointment and it is easy to work with Tina to schedule around my hectic schedule. They are super friendly when you come in to the clean and comfortable lobby and I have never had to wait longer than 3 minutes to be seen. I have referred two friends here plus a braces referral to a co-worker and all of the people I referred thanked me more than once. Thank you for having me. There are, indeed, kind hearted people existing in this world. All in all, you deserve this rating and review. I had a very painful wisdom tooth growing at the bottom right which started last year. I kept taking antibiotics and pain relievers to just get on with my daily tasks at work. 5 days of antibiotics just lasted me 6-7months of relief. So I decided to get myself checked. First, I went to a community clinic at Garden Grove then I was referred to an Oral Surgeon in Laguna Beach because the dentist from Garden Grove said I have a very difficult wisdom tooth because it was pushing the teeth in front of it. I decided to stop going to Laguna Beach community dental clinic, where I was referred to, because they just kept me waiting and waiting and for days and I kept coming back and forth to their clinic 2-3 times for the consultation then finally told me to undergo a CT Scan before they do the procedure. I have wasted so much time and my wisdome tooth is already killing me. So I looked up oral surgeons on yelp and found Lake Forest Dental Center. Absolutely the best service I have experienced the first time I came in! Receptionist - (asian lady) very accommodating, considerate and straight to the point with her answers and shows empathy and care at the same time. Since I have other wisdom teeth at the top of my mouth, she had convinced me to take them out settled on a good price thank you! Oh! And shes funny too! Dental Assistant/Xray guy - (mexican?) very caring and patient on answering my questions. Also detailed with explaining about the procedure and dos and donts. My crown came off and needed to be cemented immediately but Dr. Chong was not helpful at all and she didn't do anything to fix and cement the crown at least temporary, she juts trying to push me for the implant. read more

I went to get crowns done at this dentist office. First of all every time I had an appt at this office I always had to wait an hour for the actual dentist to even see me. As if my whole day revolves around just this appointment. Second of all when the crowns were placed I kept telling the dentist that they were not placed right and it didn't feel right but they kept telling me I was wrong...which I don't understand that. And finally the dentist ended up just filing down my crown down to the point that it's very rough when I touch it with my tongue. On top of all that I come home and look in the mirror to see that they also ACTUALLY CHIPPED MY ACTUAL TOOTH next to the crown. Ugh! I don't trust this dentist office. I'm so angry! I wish I never went here to get dental work done. I don't trust them. Don't waste your time at this office. Find another dental office that knows what they are doing...trust me your teeth will thank you! Update....months later my tooth STILL hurts where they told me it would just go away in a week or so. This is the worst dentist office! Now I have to find another dentist to fix the problem your office created. I have contacted my attorney and I am expecting a full defend of my $800 I paid you. read more

This is by far the best dentist I've ever seen. I started with Dr. Jones, then he retired, and believe me I was nervous. Not to worry, I now see Dr. Fong there and trust me, he is amazing! The whole staff their are incredible, they treat me so good! It's always a big smile and hello from everyone! I've actually gone quite a bit due to problems with my teeth, but I've never once had any problems. Tina can be busy, but she is overworked and underpaid, what can you say, she's got her hands full! I get cleanings 3 times a year and that is always top notch. This is the first time I've been to a dentist where when I went in knowing I was going to have work done, there has never been any fear or apprehension, when Dr. Fong gives me a shot I never feel it! Kudos for that alone! This is one great office. Also, although I've had my teeth done with Dr. Fong, I have had an emergency here and there and Dr. Farokhian (sp?) worked on me, and he is just as wonderful as Dr. Fong, so don't fear coming here. Wow, please disregard those negative reviews about Tina, she's great! She's quite a character, I love her! I really like this office. I started coming here after they came to a health fair at my company a couple years ago. Both dentists are great. I love that they don't immediately jump to filling or root canal like so many other dentists, they really look at your x-rays. And a huge positive to me, they don't charge an extra copay (I don't know if that applies for everyone). Lake Forest Dental Center is everything you want for a dental office. Trust me, I've had a lot of dental,work done over the years and have been traumatized. But the last few years have been great because I have finally found an office that does everything and I mean everything! My first procedure there was an implant, a front tooth implant. It's your front tooth, the one everyone see's when you smile. I had had one done previously through a doctor that was supposed to be top notch. She had all this high end equipment that was pretty impressive but associated with that was how much she charged for her services. The dentist that did my crown did a horrible job. Dr. Forokian at Lake Forest Dental Center did my front tooth implant and crown in the same office for a fraction of the cost and it looks awesome! Since then, Dr. Fong has put in two crowns with no problems. Anytime I had an emergency they had no problem fitting me in which has been great. This last week my 16 year old son has his wisdom teeth pulled out by Dr. Forokian. The only pain that occurred from this procedure was the stomach ache he has from the apple sauce that mixed with his amoxicillin pills. As you can see, I've spent a lot of time at Lake Forest Dental. Everything about this office is top notch from Tina who runs the office to Marilyn the hygienist and the dental assistants who are all accommodating. I highly recommend Lake Forest Dental Center for all your dental needs, just be sure when you call them and have the right location because there are other dental offices near them with almost the same name. Mason S.'s review is absolutely correct. Tina, the receptionist, is rude. She has no respect for people's time. I specifically asked for an evening appointment. She was extremely pushy, and I end up with a noon appointment. When I couldn't make it, she got upset with me and wouldn't rebook me unless I promised to come in on time. The only reason I put up with this place is because they did my orthodontic treatment. By they way is NOT recommended here no matter how cheap they are. I was told to take my braces off after 8 months of treatment. My teeth constantly move! I have to wear a metal retainer all day. I went through two Invisalign retainers because the shifting was so bad that it cracked them! They charged me for another retainer because my teeth were still moving with the metal retainer. I asked to have my braces put back on because my treatment obviously wasn't finished but they told me they will charge me full price again! Awful. Find a different dentist! read more

I had to get my first wisdom tooth extracted and have been avoiding it for over a year. Dr farokhian extracted my bottom wisdom tooth in literally a minute. He was very attentive to my pain needs and answered all questions I had. Thats what I was dreading for so long? This is the best dental office I have ever been too. I had put off going to the dentist for years and finally was forced to go in after an old crown fell off. I had the unfortunate experience of going to a dentist office that was close to my home in corona. After a disastrous experience with that dental office, I could not chew or drink anything without a straw because of the sensitivity. I decided that I needed help, and I reached out to lake forest dental center because they were my go-to dentist office while growing up. The quality of care is unmatched. Tina manages the office amazingly. She is on top of everything, she will work for you to get the most out of your insurance to save you $. The hygienist Lisa is incredibly skilled at what she does. Dr. Fong is a one of a kind dentist, who puts your comfort and pain level above all else. Everytime I have walked out of lake forest dental center, I feel better than when I walked in. I am forever in debt to this dental office for correcting all the problems caused by the other dentist. It is a 45 minute drive for me to lake forest, but you cannot take quality dental work for granted. I went to this dentist for almost 3 years. I had 2 crowns and root canals. I have had to replace both crowns after spending several hundred dollars. When I call to ask them about it they tell me they can help me after 1 year. Why is it that every dentist I called has a 5 yrs warranty on their crowns or work. Ive even had one tell me they will split the difference w me to help me and I wasnt even their patient yet. Go figure a dentist would go out of their way for a prospective patient after hearing about my store and other ones in the area. read more
