Always short staffed with long waits. No attention to detail and half-a@@ed work. Spend your money somewhere else...trust me. Was there a few days ago and sat with my feet soaking in pedicure chair for nearly an hour before the pedicure started. Worst pedicure ever and toes look like they were painted by a kindergartner. Then waited another hour to start manicure. Ended up leaving as soon as the prior gel polish was removed because it was clear that it would be another hour before they'd begin the manicure and I decided I'd rather start using a new salon in the future. read more

It's not a spa, they did the job. Massage chairs work when you get a pedicure. There's no music, pretty quiet. You can definitely walk-in and be seen but I called for an appointment. They have a decent color selection. The bag in my pedicure tub ripped at the top.. so I'm not sure if they reuse or put in new ones because when I arrive the pedicure sun already had one of those covers in it. They staff is kind. Unfortunately I have now had two bad experiences at LG Nail Spa and will not be returning. I have had my nails dipped in powder dozens of times and never experienced this. Last time the chipping didn't start until a little over a week in. This time it started within the first day. I got my nails done on Saturday and there are already three that look completely horrible (it is now Monday). Either the tech did not apply it correctly or their top coat is bad. Either way, I am extremely disappointed in wasting my time and money . Also, I find the color selection for the powder dip to be extremely limited (unless you want the mood changing tones). I will not be returning nor recommending this place to my friends or colleagues. read more

Bad, Bad,Bad. I have never been to a nail salon that was so bad. The lady took me into the back room. She was not even friendly. She went to put the wax on my eyes and I jumped and yelled. As a recent transplant from Napa Valley, CA., I was apprehensive when I relocated to these beautiful mountains in 2013. I had well established relationships with all my "beauty experts" back in Cali and I was praying to find the same here in Asheville, NC. GOD has blessed me with a wonderful nail salon close to my home. I see only Mimi, (the owner) and Hannah, her daughter. First about Mimi. She is hands down truly talented! Her acrylics are flawlessly executed and she is quite sweet as well. So you get beautiful nails that compliment your hand shape AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT at LG Nails in Weaverville. Her daughter Hannah inherited her mothers abilities to get the job done right. Her pedicures are the best in town. Hands down she delivers. She takes as much time as it take to clean everything up around the nail and she is meticulous. I have started calling her "Dr. Hannah" as her skill is good enough to save you a trip to your doctors office for ingrown toenail removal! Just make sure you see Hannah before it grows to deep. I've found the trick to avoiding the dreaded ingrown toenail surgery is to see Hannah and go often. Once a week preferably. I waited too long because I was traveling and I went to see Hannah as soon as I returned. She really gave it all her might, but it had grown so deep that my next stop was urgent care where they removed what the doctor called a worlds record toenail growing inside of my foot. Anyway that's for a different Yelp review. To cap this rather lengthy review off... I highly recommend LG NAILS with all my services performed by Mimi or Hannah. They are kind, never ever make you feel like they are rushing your mani/pedi, have clean salon and sterilize all implements. And for all this you pay.... wait for it.. I recently went here for a mani/pedi and I was so disappointed. (This was probably my third visit here). The nail tech working on me was a really young kid and I think the employees there, including him, said about 3 words to me total. My feet were very dry from wearing sandals, yet he didn't use the filer that looks like a grater (that was being used on other customers and that had been used on me during previous visits). He used the regular foot file, and after my pedicure my heels still looked rough and dry. Also, during my manicure my nails ended up being filed uneven and on one hand my nails were shorter than my other hand. There were also cleaning supplies all over and it looked as if the plac needed to be cleaned a bit more thoroughly. I live close to this nail shop but even though the location is convenient for me, I don't want to ever go here again. I left thinking to myself that I needed to go home and file my heels to fix how rough they still looked. I wouldn't recommend going here. read more
