This review is for the dine-in experience. When you walk in you def get a homey pizza shop vibe. You order at the counter and sit anywhere to wait. The pinball machines were broken which was slightlt disappointing. But there is fun decor and a relaxed vibe. We ordered a large half cheese and half pepperoni pizza , as well as cheesy garlic knots. The cheesy garlic knots came out quick and were decent. Soft, with strong cheese and garlic flavor . A bit dry but not bad. The marinara sauce was the best part. The pizza arrived shortly after, the flavor of the sauce makes the whole pizza. Good amount of cheese also, my only complaint was that the bottom was a bit under I would have preferred it a little bit longer in the oven to be crispier. It was perfect when we reheated it at home. Also it's kind of pricey I feel like. But if you want some pizza and you're in town this is likely your best bet aside from pizza hut. Would come back for sure read more

I initially called Vinny's Pizza to place an order over the phone, but the employee informed me that I would have to place the order online instead because they could not take my order by phone. I proceeded to place the order online as instructed. Although this immediately raised concerns about the organization and professionalism of the establishment, I put the order in as instructed hoped everything would be handled correctly from that point forward. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning of a very frustrating experience. After waiting approximately an hour and a half for delivery, my food finally arrived only to discover that the pizza, which was the main part of the order for four people, was completely missing. While I understand that mistakes can happen in a busy restaurant environment, the way the situation was handled afterward was extremely disappointing. I contacted the delivery driver to ask if perhaps the pizza had been left behind accidentally. Rather than showing any concern or willingness to help resolve the issue, the driver responded in a very rude and dismissive tone, stating, "That's all they gave me." When I asked whether there was a receipt attached to the order so we could verify what had been packed, he abruptly replied that there was no receipt and offered no further assistance. At this point, my frustration was understandable. It was already around 7 PM, and the food had been ordered for four people who had not eaten since earlier in the day. After the lengthy wait and incomplete delivery, I contacted the restaurant directly in hopes of resolving the issue professionally. The first employee who answered the phone appeared unsure of how to handle the situation and transferred me to another staff member. Unfortunately, the second employee was equally unprofessional and spoke in an irritated, dismissive tone that made it seem as though helping customers was an inconvenience. Rather than apologizing for the error or offering a reasonable solution, I was told that I would have to personally come back to the restaurant to pick up the missing pizza. I was also told they would "throw in a free pizza" for the inconvenience. Despite already waiting over an hour and a half for the original delivery, I drove to the restaurant myself only to wait yet again for the food to be prepared. When I finally received the order, I was handed a 16" sized cheese pizza along with the original pizza that had clearly been sitting out for nearly two hours. By that point, the food quality was noticeably compromised and no longer fresh. What made the experience even worse was the condition of the restaurant itself. The establishment appeared extremely unsanitary and poorly maintained. There were leaks coming from the ceiling with rags and buckets scattered around to catch the water, flies throughout the building, and an overall atmosphere that felt unclean and neglected. Combined with the rude customer service and mishandling of the order, the entire experience was incredibly disappointing. Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. The lack of communication, poor attitude from both staff and delivery personnel, unacceptable wait times, and unsanitary conditions made the situation far more frustrating than it needed to be. I would strongly encourage improvements in customer service, order accuracy, and cleanliness standards moving forward. read more

The service was quick and friendly. The pizza and spaghetti was excellent. Vinny's is definitely a place I will be visiting again.

This is sadly a very mediocre pizza place. I had so much hope for this spot from things I had heard but every time I've gone, it's been over priced for the quality served. I feel like that can be shown in the front of the house too where the AC cannot keep up, and everything is falling apart with the booth cushions and the pinball machine has been messed up. Pizza is good and they use a great mix of cheese and the crust is nice BUT it is not a New Yorker would not go crazy over it. The toppings were fresh and my lunch partner had a supreme. (Picture attached) The Salad was fresh and wonderful but in came in a to go box. There is no service to speck of so forget about dining in. Carry only. The dining room is a mess and they don't have servers. Cheap paper plates and plastic silverware that won't cut your pizza. Very disappointing. Today was my first time coming here. I'm used to Pepe's Pizza and Sally's Apizza of New Haven, CT. We also had in Bristol, CT, Pavillion Pizza. I moved away from pizza heaven about 20 years ago and have been in search of the ultimate NY / New Haven, CT style pizza. I believe my search is over. Vinny's pizza is delicious. The crust is a perfect thin with just the right crisp. The cheese and pepperoni tasted fresh with just the right amount of sauce. I wish they were closer to where I live. Vinny's Pizza is, unfortunately, inconsistent. When they are good, they are one of the best pizza places around. But when they are off their game, the food is downright gross. In the past week I have had Vinny's twice. I ordered the same pizza both times. The first time, delicious! Today, it was an undercooked, soggy mess. And this isn't the first soggy pizza I've had from them. They tend to overestimate the time it will take to cook the pizza. I have arrived on time for a pickup only to be given a cold, congealed pile of cheese on dough. This leads me to believe it wasn't cooked thoroughly in the first place or they finished much sooner than they estimated and it had already cooled by the time I arrived. So if you do order from them, make sure to arrive early AND check the quality of your food before you leave. Also, I highly recommend you do NOT get the fried ravioli. I really wanted this to be my go-to New York style pizza place, but with their inconsistency in quality and very high prices, I probably won't be visiting again in the near future. read more

I've been looking for an authentic New York pizza place since I moved here and I heard some good things about Vinny's. With everything going on in the world I could only order takeout. The online ordering process was really easy and my food was ready right away. I ordered two slices of cheese pizza and some garlic knots. The knots were very good and came with a marinara sauce. The pizza slices left something to be desired. They were dried out and borderline cold. I'm willing to give them a second chance though once things get back to normal and I can sit down and eat a fresh meal. Worth a chance if you want New York style pizza. read more

Great pizza. These pizzas have great cheese flavors and sauce. Expect to pay more with less toppings but it's obvious that the ingredients are better quality and better prepared. The flat crust was great but the end crust was a bit dry which would be ok if the dough was more airy or the toppings placed closer to the end. I paid around 55 for two specialty on a pick up. I would say it's worth trying out if you like New York style pizza. Unfortunately it will most likely not be as good and a bit over priced. I've never had pizza in New York so you be the judge. None the less, it's a tasty slice. read more

This place used to be so good years ago, when the dining room was full service and you could get the best pasta meals, sandwiches, calzones, etc. We used to love going there for dinner. After Covid came around, all you could do is order to go. By the time I would get home with a pizza, it was a cold soggy mess. A couple of times we ordered and sat on the tailgate in the parking lot and ate our pizza. Fast forward to now, I called and they said the dining room was open, but that they didn't have quite full service. So we tried them once again. Our sandwiches were given to us in styrofoam boxes. The girl on the phone should have said "we have a place you can sit down". That was all. The chicken was tough, very hard to chew. We did not finish our sandwiches. Both my husband and I left there thinking, well, I guess we won't be coming back here anymore. If you're looking for a good take out pizza place and live nearby, this place would be ok. First off I grew up in the Goose Creek area and use to eat here with my mom 10+ years ago and decided to give it a go a couple months ago. The first time was great so I gave them 5 stars but every time since there seems to be a problem from topping's missing to pizzas being over cooked and just the other night being stretched too much to where the center of the dough was so thin the pizza was just toppings in the middle. I usually give a place 3 tries as there can be plenty of reasons to having a off day especially given the pandemic but after that I lose all hope. I will not be returning here. read more

We were excited to try it. Unfortunately the pizza was the only thing that was edible. The sausage we got on it was good. Other than that it was a very average pizza. We were not able to finish the lemon pepper wings. It was as if they were fried too many times and very hard. The garlic knots were the same way, they were very hard which made it hard to chew. Moving day is a pain. We just moved to Goose Creek from Palmdale, CA. I was tired, hungry, and in no shape to either cook or " go out" for dinner. So I YELPED pizza delivery and Vinny's had some good reviews. I called them and ordered a pizza. The girl who took my order was very nice and efficient. Since I told her I was new to the area she offered to include a tobgo menu with the delivery. It was delivered in about 20 minutes time piping hot and perfectly cooked. It is a Brooklyn Style Pizza. The dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings were all very good quality, and we really enjoyed the pizza. I'll be calling Vinny's regularly for all my pizza deliveries. read more

I haven't been to Vinny's in years, but I recall it being delicious, and today was no exception. I went into the restaurant and ordered and took it home. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with a couple extra marinara sauces. I lived in New York for many years and I know good New York pizza. These guys do it right, thin crust hand tossed, foldable slices. The best part is the sauce. If the sauce isn't right, forget about it. Vinny's sauce is fantastic! And the ingredients are quality. Visited Vinny's working from home on a weekday afternoon. Ordered at the counter and had a seat in the dining area waiting for the pizza. Checked out the interior while I waited, looks nice and clean. Staff was friendly as well and kept me updated on how my pizza was coming along. Pizza arrived in about 20 minutes and the looming ride home began. Right away the smell of the pizza is good, almost hit the Rinse and Shine so I could sneak a slice and get the truck washed at the same time. But I headed straight home to try Vinny's NY-style pizza for the first time. Initial impression opening the box is damn that's a nice looking pizza. Second impression; as I lifted a slice to my plate the tip crumbled and about 1/3 of the cheese and meat slid off back into the box...the dough is undercooked, and if not then surely not crisp. Third impression as I do the NY fold on the slice and take a bite is this taste pretty good. A planned two slice lunch turned into a half pizza ordeal and how was I going to get any work done with all those carbs? Honestly, the crust was my only disappointment with the pizza but it did thicken as it sat on the counter top. So I'd consider the dough cooked, I just prefer my dough a little crispier which I would probably ask for an extended cooking time next visit. Vinny's has wings, pasta, salads, and sandwiches in addition to the pizza. Sorry it took me a couple years to find them but I'm adding Vinny's to my GC pizza menu. read more

Stopped in at his facility around 7 o'clock in the evening to try and buy a few slices of pizza and a beer or a Coke. When I was advised upon arrival that they only serve slices till 4 o'clock. When I asked them how long it would take to make a pizza I was told 45 minutes. There was absolutely nobody in the restaurant but the two rude young ladies working behind the counter. When I asked them about other restaurants in the area I received it I don't know from each one of them. I've never seen two more rude individuals in the restaurant business as I saw these two young ladies. Needless to say I'll never go back there again. read more

Vinny's used to be better and would have given 4+ stars a year ago but they have slipped in quality since then. We had a specialty pizza, the Crowfield, which we had before and loved and this time the crust was tasteless, the sauce bland and the toppings looked lifeless. They also increased prices and the online menu does not reflect that. They also stopped making 18" pizzas but don't tell you until you get to their place and then they just have a printed piece of paper hanging there. read more
