Hit the spot! My husband and I were looking for a place to grab a drink & a snack and this brewery was perfect. The bartender encouraged us to try a few different beer samples before settling on a full pour. We also ordered the flight of fries, which was a nice salty choice to complement the beers. Only 2 stars because of the PB beer and server. What the hell happened to the fries??? I love the beer and the only way I could get my husband to come here with me (he doesn't drink beer) was the beer batter fries. Now you've done away with them????? Husband said no more eating here cause the fries are gross now. Haha I have to admit... the beer batter fries were the best in town so he's not totally wrong. Ryan was the best server, super helpful and nice. BUT they've lost us, our friends and family now. We went in for late lunch on 12/24 and they were open until 7pm. The food was excellent as always but I'm always a little disappointed with the beer. It's not bad exactly, but not particularly good either. We went around 3pm and there weren't many there. It was self seating so we sat in the dining room instead of in the bar side. It was pretty calm but it took a little while for us to get menus. Once we did the service was pretty quick. I think they were a bit short staffed. My friend and I split a beer flight. I tried two IPA's and really couldn't catch the hints of what they said were the flavors. It just tasted like a plain IPA. I had one that was mango and another that was fruit punch. We sampled the blueberry sour. That one was pretty good but we didn't order that one. My friend got the strawberry lemonade hard seltzer and the sugar cookie lager(?). I wasn't impressed with the sugar cookie but the hard seltzer was good. My friend ordered the pulled pork sandwich with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. It was a really nice portion size and she said the food was very good. I had the chicken and waffle board. That was EXCELLENT. The waffles we a bit more cakey than the usual waffle but they had bits of crunchy sugar. The chicken tenders were really good. They came with a hot honey that was quite good. It had a nice heat to it and wasn't overly sweet. It had a bit of a tang to it that reminded me of an Asian sweet and sour sauce. And it came with a couple of pieces of bacon. Overall as a restaurant, I really like the food and the location. As a brewery, I think the beer could be better. read more

I should have reviewed this place as I ve been here many times. Not only is their beer selection fabulous, as you might expect, but their food is too. They have even gone through a new cook or two but they maintain their high quality. One of our favorites is the BLT. Stopped in for a drink and food on a recent weeknight for the first time at one of Goose Creek's newest establishments. I have to say - it's a breath of fresh air to see a non-national franchise pop-up in this part of Goose Creek (and loved the repurposing of the old firehouse) It was pretty quiet the evening we stopped in right after Christmas although there were several other patrons in the bar and a live musician entertaining us all with some solid 90s pop-rock throwbacks. My group all went with some drinks and the loaded fries appetizer to begin with and service was friendly and fast getting the evening started. The loaded fries were good but the Crispy Chicken Sandwich entree was even better! I loved the combo of fried pickles with whatever that magical spicy mustard sauce they topped that bad boy with was. I ended up asking for more on the side so I could dip the sandwich in it because it was so good! Stopped by Stones Throw to check them out, after seeing they finally opened after replacing wide awake brewery. There weren't too many changes on the inside from what I remember, which is awesome because there wasn't much needed to be changed. Stones throw has a very extensive beer list to choose from and the few beers I had were all very tasty. The food is also a great option. I ordered the old bay wings and cheese fries. The wings were fried a little too long in my opinion and there could have been more old bay seasoning used, but still very high-quality wings. The cheese fries are some of the best I've had in the area. I really appreciate that shredded cheese is used and melted vs. nacho cheese. There was also live music the night I visited. One of my BFs favorite places to go for beer and to meet up with friends. Place can sometimes be packed depending on the day and time. Bar seats are usually full unless on off hours. The food her in my opinion is ok. Typical bar food. Everything is ok but nothing stands out. Beer and shots are a bit on The pricey side. So if you plan to drink a lot, you may want to transition to another place preferably before you've had too much to drink. Please can get loud sometimes and there's also outdoor seating. Stopped at a physician's office in Goose Creek today and asked for lunch recommendations. Stones Throw came up first. Based on the notion that folks who work in an area are likely to know the restaurants well, we took a chance. And it was a good call. First off, the staff were wonderful throughout. We both ordered a company brewed beer and both were excellent. I hobby brewed beer for a while and prefer beers in which I can taste the influence of the components but, of course, in balance. Both beers were great in that regard and mine, a red, had a deliciously long and tasty finish - which is a quality rarely found in beer. Their brewmaster is, in my opinion, doing very good work. My wife had a salad, which was very tasty and of good size. On the recommendation of the person who referred us, I tried a burger. Very large and juicy, and in my experience, one of the few hamburgers I've had in years that was actually cooked to the medium rare specification I gave [almost all restaurants, in my opinion, over-cook hamburgers. Odds are this is to avoid any concerns from health inspectors]. So very good beer, better than average bar food, and great staff. If you're looking for ambiance, this is perhaps the wrong place, but otherwise a very nice find. read more

This is one of our favorites when we're in the Goose Creek area! It's very kid friendly and relaxed with games inside and a great outdoor space! We've come for lunches and dinners on week days and weekends. Their happy hour deals are fantastic and kids eat free Tuesdays! I love the "are you heffing kidding me" and I'm not a big beer drinker. I will say service is a bit hit and miss and they do seem a little understaffed with waitresses but it's easy to order accordingly and seat yourself. The food is always good but it can be inconsistent. I've ordered the boneless garlic parm wings a few things and the sauce is always a bit different. The hamburgers are also great! It can be a bit noisey with the firehouse feel echoing but that's to be expected in a brewery and it's great for parents not having to worry about loud kids! I will say the food is a bit salty and I always find myself drinking a ton of water after eating here but again it's pub food full of flavor! read more

It's typical bar food. The low review is for the service. Our waitress was not attentive and kept forgetting items. I had to remind her several times about my drink, and never got refills on water even after we asked several times. She couldn't be found at all when it was time to get the check. Came in on a Friday night. Good beer. Bad service. Rude employees. Some of the food TASTES amazing. Pork & pineapple was amazing. So were the cheese curds. But both my boyfriend and I had painful stomach aches (and pretty bad trips to the bathroom) for about 12 hours after ingesting the food. There was a server (blonde) who was so snappy and rude to us. We had been sitting there with menus for 10 minutes and no one had come to even get drink orders. I stopped the blonde girl to ask if we could order soon. She wouldn't even let me finish my sentence before saying "I'm not your server". I told her we didn't know who our server was. She cut me off before I could finish that sentence too to ask "so you don't remember what your server looks like?". No one had come by yet. How are we supposed to know what they look like if they never came by? The hazy goose ipa was pretty good. read more

Servers are rude and don't acknowledge you when you sit at the bar. They will not look your way and continue to serve everyone else around you. They should at least let you know that they will help you soon instead of pretending not to see their customers. If it's too busy then hire more staff. But they aren't busy because they have time to chit chat with coworkers and use their cell phones. I've attempted to order here on 3 different occasions at the bar because of the bike events and I end up walking away because of no service. I waited 10-15 minutes each time. I end up going to the person with the setup outside. I can't review anything else about this place because I was never served. read more

I love the beer and the vibe. It's very relaxing there and the service is great. The food in general is average. The fish and chips were ok, the burger was cooked good (are sautéed onions supposed to white still?), I ordered the six "jumbo" wings from the menu they were not jumbo at all. I hate to leave a negative review for a few reasons: 1. Our server was amazing! She was honest and kept the drinks flowing. 2. I know most restaurants are short staffed and I get it, but at least let people know before they order. We sat down ordered a beer, an appetizer and food for a table of 4 at 7:05. Got the beer quickly but didn't receive the appetizer until 7:45. The food didn't arrive until 8:45! We did finally ask around 8:00 why we hadn't gotten our food and was told the kitchen was slammed and our server had to wait 15 minutes after we ordered to put our order in. That still should've only been an hour max. I could also have understood if the restaurant was packed, but it was not either. I am so disappointed. This was our first visit and although the beer was yummy, it may be the only thing we get next time. :( read more
