The rooms are only semi-private; there is a divider between the rooms (not four walls) so you can hear some chatter. But since I was one of the only clients, it was rather a relaxing experience. The room was also clean. The masseuse Tina did a great job getting alot of my knots out and also used hot stones as well. I made sure I left a good tip, as the service was so cheap. Tui Na focuses on bones, blood flow and joints which is more of a chinese medical massage. It is not relaxing or comfortable. It has been a challenge finding a place to go to after Health Trail closed down. I've been to many others ever since and today I found Yuan Shi and they are what I've been searching for. I now have bad knees and back pains. I came in on a Sunday and got an hour of the Chinese full body Tui Na. Michael was my masseuse and little dude is strong. He was able to pinpoint all my pain areas and proceeded to roll, press, stretch and kneed it to death. The more squirming I did and wincing from pain, the harder he went. I wanted to stop showing my pain just so he would stop sometimes. But as the guy at Health Trail said, "No pain, No gain". The timer went off after and hour and he continued working my back for another 5 minutes. I really appreciated it, as he knew I was in need of this session. 1 hour was $50, and I tipped $20. He really earned every dollar. Im sore from the bruising but my back pains are relieved right now. I'm considering buying the certificate. 10 sessions for $500 upfront and comes with 3 free massages. This seems really worth it in my opinion. I'm definitely coming back again.

I made sure that he knew not to touch my broken left foot, and kept the compression sock on. A painful, expert, and extremely effective massage. I can't say that it was enjoyable, because it wasn't. But it WORKED. I walked out of there feeling renewed. Or balanced. This is serious bodywork from expert and well-trained practitioners, at great prices. I liked that we were able to fill out the diagram to show where we preferred they concentrate the massage and where we wanted them to avoid. The masseuse confirmed when he walked in and then showed me the timer for 60 min before beginning. The ambiance was perfect and we both enjoyed our massages. They even had a bathroom with a shower and robes/slippers for us to use after we were finished. It's a step above your no frills massage parlor!
