The rooms are only semi-private; there is a divider between the rooms (not four walls) so you can hear some chatter. But since I was one of the only clients, it was rather a relaxing experience. The room was also clean. The masseuse Tina did a great job getting alot of my knots out and also used hot stones as well. I made sure I left a good tip, as the service was so cheap. I highly recommend this place and will be back as I am a permanent resident here now.

It has been a challenge finding a place to go to after Health Trail closed down. I've been to many others ever since and today I found Yuan Shi and they are what I've been searching for. I now have bad knees and back pains. I came in on a Sunday and got an hour of the Chinese full body Tui Na. Michael was my masseuse and little dude is strong. He was able to pinpoint all my pain areas and proceeded to roll, press, stretch and kneed it to death. The more squirming I did and wincing from pain, the harder he went. I wanted to stop showing my pain just so he would stop sometimes. But as the guy at Health Trail said, "No pain, No gain". The timer went off after and hour and he continued working my back for another 5 minutes. I really appreciated it, as he knew I was in need of this session. 1 hour was $50, and I tipped $20. He really earned every dollar. Im sore from the bruising but my back pains are relieved right now. I'm considering buying the certificate. 10 sessions for $500 upfront and comes with 3 free massages. This seems really worth it in my opinion. I'm definitely coming back again.

At 10 hours, you're supposed to get an hour free. So I booked a 90 min minute massage for today at 4:30pm, expecting the last 60 minutes to be free. I tried to check this with the front desk in the start but I was told to not worry about it until the end. Apparently because I booked 90 minute sessions in the past on my card, those apparently only counted as 60 minutes for the purposes of the card. The attitude of the lady at the front desk made me feel belittled and ruined the experience. Worse yet, after I left and checked the time, I realized I only got 60 minutes. Basically I paid for a 90 minute massage and received a 60 minute massage when I should have paid for 30 minutes and received 90 minutes. I basically overcharged by $85 today...

Apparently "Get one hour free after ten hours purchased" isn't actually honored.

First time up for a session since it changed hands from Angel Feet to Perry Street Reflexology and so glad to find the same reflexologist who offer such loving care still working there. The atmosphere is cozy and soothing adding to the benefits of the message which I find helps with my circulation and overall sense of wellness. First reflexology session and I am sold. Felt totally at ease from the moment I walked in to the end. After the session I was completely relaxed and felt like I was walking on clouds. They have really comfortable chairs that you sink right into. You have the option of splitting your session up between your hands and foot or just hand or just foot. I opted for twenty minutes hand and 40 min foot. My hands and wrist felt a lot better considering I work on the computer 9 hours a day. read more

They sent me Mia. Actually we never spoke any words. Her hands and elbows goes straight to the acupressure points, literally head to toes with exact right amount of pressure. She is very hard working. I didn't have to request anything. I realized her way is real treatment. It's my favorite style, next day I had slight soreness in the morning and later on the day I felt amazing whole body. She gave me most effective techniques and got rid of all of my problems. Unbelievable talent. After massage, staffs told me there is grand master teacher taught all workers in their all (4?) branches. This is treasure old school Chinese system, it reminds me martial art tradition. We are lucky to have this in USA, we need to support this forever. I took the number three train to 14th St., and then a six minute walk. My appointment was set for 10:30 AM. I got there about 15 minutes early and it seemed like I was the only one there. Upon entering the atmosphere is extremely clean, and there was Zen music playing. I greeted the man at the front desk and he did the same and he told me to have a seat in any chair. I did just that then got comfortable. The masseuse brought out a huge basin of water to quickly soak my foot in then he began to work half an hour, each foot and calf. It was very relaxing. I then decided to go on Yelp to check in. After I did it said I get a free 10 minute massage The guy who worked on my feet asked me if I wanted a back massage or another foot massage so I guess you have a choice. I told him a back massage and he placed the chair for me to sit and place my head in what I call the donut hole lol. This was done after my hour 60 minute foot rub. At the end of the foot massage I got a nice hot stone foot and calf rub which was fantastic. At the end of it all I went to go and pay, and I saw on there price list the 60 minute foot rub was $47 so I pulled up their website and I showed them that it says 45 online. She told me $45 in cash $47 by using card so I used my card since I didn't walk with any cash so keep that in mind. I definitely recommend this spot. I'm glad that my friend found it and I followed suit. I will be making this a monthly thing. I can't wait to go back again. So don't hesitate to check them out.

STAY AWAY. I had what was easily the worst massage of my life here…read more Earlier in the day, I specifically called and requested Tony. I was told that wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived for my 9 PM appointment, a woman walked into the room instead. I asked if Tony was available, and she responded with something I couldn't understand before immediately beginning the massage by wrapping my head in a towel with the force of someone trying to start a lawn mower. I genuinely thought my earrings were about to be ripped out of my ears. I asked her within the first 5m to go softer, but the pressure wasn't even the main issue - it felt like she wasn't actually working on my muscles. Somehow she managed to spend an hour pounding on bones I didn't even know could be massaged, including my tailbone and elbows. To be fair, even if she had reduced the pressure, she was still working all the wrong places. The entire massage felt less like bodywork and more like being attacked by a hundred tiny crabs while an angry toddler threw bricks at me. I spent the session counting down the minutes until it was over. Every time she finished one body part, I felt relieved simply because that meant we were closer to being done. All the movements weren't slow and calm; they were quick, frightening, and aggressive. I had hot stones as a part of my treatment, but her carelessness throughout the regular massage portion made me terrified of what the hot stones were going to be like (thankfully, they were a normal hot stone temperature). I was visibly uncomfortable the entire time - wincing, flinching, and even making noises because the massage hurt. I've never spent an entire massage staring at the clock and mentally calculating how much longer I had to survive. Usually massages make you lose track of time. This one made every minute feel like an hour. I left feeling more stressed and sore than when I arrived. I've had many massages over the years, and this was by far the most uncomfortable, painful, and disappointing one I've ever received. The fact that I specifically requested a particular therapist, was told that request would be honored, and then received a completely different therapist only made the experience worse. The attached photo shows a text message they sent me 16m into the appointment, as well as my response when I saw it later, and their unprofessional "ok" response...
