Having tried lesser priced nail salons, this place reminds me that you get what you pay for & I appreciate that! They have upgraded the place a little and they offer other Spa Pedicures but no longer the jelee pedicure. Anyhow, I love this place. They are my go to for Nail Spa Treatments. I even had my ears candled here before! They do a very good job. I recently had the Spa Pedicure with Manicure that also includes a yummy 10 minute leg massage. It was sooo awesome and relaxing. Horrible! I was treated very badly multiple times. The place it's very loud, the technicians speak very loudly in a foreign language to each other, leaving the impression to customers that they speak badly about them. Often the technicians fight with each other in front of customers. I was denied many times the service because they were "busy" but they took different customers (with no prior appointments) in front of me. I kept going to this salon for years because it's close to my home and does a service for my nails that I cannot find anywhere close. But I had enough! Today this salon lost a loyal customer that spent a lot of money in that place. And I will take a lot of other customers with me to another place. I hope the owners will take measures with the employees and implement some common sense rules. read more

I frequent this salon because it's conveniently located and reasonably priced; seems relatively clean and usually the staff has decent attitudes. But I've had enough of the $2 extra for Zoya nail polish "because it lasts longer". I knew that was a lie, but used it anyway because it lacks the harmful five chemicals that the others have. My nails literally were chipping not 24 hours later. And now they're all basically peeling after I just cooked dinner. It's one thing to try and recoup money because the brand is more expensive (because it's better for you), but it's another to blatantly lie about why. First things first... $15 to fix one nail. I was visiting New York and accidentally broke a nail. I needed to fix it as soon as possible and they were the closest nail salon. I got into the salon and got seated right away (which was nice). But when I told them I needed to fix my nail they just looked so angry. Number one, she used a METROCARD to remove the rest of my nail.. I don't think that's clean. During the process, she literally hurt me so much during that 25 minutes session to fix one nail. It was a weird experience. My nail is super thin and it's not supposed to look like that. She put hairspray on my nail to "dry it". Oh and it was $15 to fix ONE NAIL that wasn't even gel. Unfortunately, I will never come back to this nail salon. I had been coming for a few months since it's in the neighborhood. I typically get gel manicures. The last time I came, the woman was having difficulty getting the gel off but instead of taking her time, she filed my nail bed down until it was raw and sensitive to the touch. My nails were paper thin and all broke off within a week. I had to painfully remove the gel that was placed on top of my severely damaged nail bed and now I must wait for my nails to fully heal before adding a regular coat of polish. I consulted a doctor who said this healing process will undoubtedly take weeks. I honestly did not encounter problems before this but dealing with this discomfort on a daily basis has been a nightmare. read more

Very inconsistent service. I've been there at least 15 times because I've had a really good experience with one of the technicians. However, every subsequent time has been just okay or horrible. I've had technicians be extremely rough and upon pointing it out, unapologetic. Most of the employees seem rushed and indifferent about their quality of work. I've tried making appointments hoping that would demonstrate loyalty to their business and in turn be provided with better service, but it was even worse! I ended up waiting 30 minutes for an appointment and the technician was rushing and careless and trimmed my cuticles way too short. It's one thing if the polish isn't perfect but when they started injuring me, I had to stop going. God knows how they/if they sanitize their tools. I saw other reviews for this place about nails being ripped off and dirty tools being used and it honestly does not surprise me. My health is important to me and I'm mad I continued to go there thinking it would get better if they recognized me as a loyal customer. I'm just glad my injuries were never as serious as some of the reviews have shown. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!! What a hell Hole. Disgusting pedicure tubs. I went in the have the wrap removed from my nails and to have a new wrap set with gel polish. Unfprtutneory I never made it that far because the nail tech used a dirty metro card to remove the gel and ripped off more than half of my nail!!!!! As I sat there, with my nail bed bleeding and raw skin exposed, the nail tech just stared at me. I was in so much pain that I started crying while I was holding my nail. I don't know if she was scared or just didn't care, her expression stoic. I kept asking her to give me something for my nail that was ripped off. It took the other patrons to yell at the nail techs to get me a first aid kit and tend to the my problem. Even after all of that, they tried to take pictures of me and my nail (they're probably afraid of losing their license--if they have one). Even when I declined they tried to anyway and they refused to let me out of the store. One went as far as locking the door and I had to unlock the door and shove my way beside her to leave. Once outside, I called the police. PLEASEEEEEEE AVOID THIS PLACE ! I just wanted my gel redone and now I'm home Typing this review with a band aid covering the raw skin. Loved this nail salon ! I called and made two appointments for myself and a friend , and they took us right on time with no wait upon arrival . The whole team here were very friendly and offered great customer service . I went in for a regular mani/pedi and ended up getting a spa pedi , which includes callous remover and a 10 minute foot massage , plus a 10 minute back massage . They offered such great prices I couldn't resist ! And for a 10 minute back massage , I felt refreshed and very relaxed . Poor customer service, rushed mani/pedi, unclean. If you're looking for a quick, cheap, no frills salon, this is a place to go. There were flies around the stations and the woman who did my mani/pedi and eyebrows rushed the whole thing. She did not remove the rough skin during my pedicure, left many of my cuticles unevenly trimmed and barely waxed my eye brows. I don't think she understood enough english through the process, so asking for adjustments was a hassle. When it came time to pay they got upset that I tipped on my card. I suspect they're not paying their employees fairly, for them to pressure their clients to tip in cash. I'd rather pay more at a nicer salon nearby. read more

I got charged $90 for gel nails, the shape was an extra $10 and was oval not coffin. My gel coloring chipped an hour after leaving, and all my nails were lumpy from the acrylic in which the she did not fix. I came back the next day to fix the problem and had the lady yelling and arguing with me when i showed her what needed to be fixed. Amazing nail salon! I have been coming here since I moved to the neighborhood a year ago and they have consistently provided quality services. I usually get gel mani, pedicure and a back massage (they actually listen to your pressure preference and deliver every time... it's heavenly!) but for my wedding, I got tips with powder gel. Not only did my nails turn out exactly how I wanted them to look, they lasted for 4 weeks!!! I had to go back to get them taken off because my nails had grown out so much but the powder gel nails didn't lift at all. Very reasonable pricing, tons of polish colors & types (normal OPI/essie polish, long last polish, at least 5 different brands of gel polish with 100+ colors, gel powder, etc.) and friendly service. Cheap and ok place, I have been here a few times as options in the neighborhood are very limited (otherwise don't think I would have come back). My last experience was further shadowed by the tech refusing to acknowledge that she cut the side of my nail to the point of bleeding, she was making deep perpendicular cuts on the side of the nails - not a good technique as it leads to ingrown nails, plus she cut too deep and made it bleed (and hurt). What really annoyed me is that instead of simply apologizing, she started talking with the tech girl next to her and laughing and then the other tech continued to convince me that this was not a cut, but rather a leftover nail polish. I was a little hesitant to come here after reading a ton of mixed reviews and some that quite frankly frightened me but the experience overall was quite good. I did a pedicure and gel fill in. I called the day of and was able to make an appointment. I was taken right away when I showed up and the staff overall were really pleasant. They took their time with the fill in did an excellent job. It was a bit on the pricey side ($94 for a pedi, fill in and gel polish) but I expect that for the area and it's still less expensive than manhattan.
