I had a clogged pipe that was backing up into the laundry sink. Two work men came to the door with an electric snake. One of the workmen did the work, opened the cap and used the electric snake and pipe cleared and no other work was required. The other work man had our credit card on file and had my husband sign on the phone and emailed a bill for 716$ in addition to 90$. I contacted the manager to get clarification on the bill. I cannot understand how they can charge over 800$ for 30 minutes of work without any materials needed and straight labor fees. I was told that these fee's also help pay for advertising and other costs. I DO NOT recommend this company. I have used them twice before and now wondering if the labor charge was that 1600$ an hour as well. Unfortunately the work was good but I feel overpriced and RIPPED OFF!!.

The company was really great, they sent me a bio and photo of the person who would be coming (which I appreciated for safety and professionalism), and the man who came was super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He also had some great suggestions and input on the project and location in the house, in terms of what's best to save money and simplify all the moving parts--which I really appreciated. At no point did John pressure us or trick us into buying anything we didn't need or want. Once everything was agreed upon, John showed up, with his crew, and again went over everything that needed to be done. I basically had to have the whole system redone due to age and poor installation. John and his crew replaced everything and took their time and did the job. At the end of every working day, the crew would clean up, to the point that you would never know they were even there. After the installation, everything works amazingly. I reached out to Jim about replacing a cracked 5-year-old resin tub and sent multiple photos, details, and even confirmed with the manufacturer that the drain didn't need replacing. I was quoted $1,500 unless something unexpected came up. When Jim and his assistant arrived, they immediately said they couldn't lift the tub due to back issues and it's too heavy. I ended up calling my landscaper, who brought guys over to handle all the heavy lifting--removing the old tub and bringing in the new one. While waiting (for two hours), they sat in my driveway on the phone, smoking and asking me questions about the original installation that any professional should know or assess themselves. It felt very unprofessional. Once the tub was in place (thanks to the guys I hired), Jim essentially just connected the drain with a twist and had his assistant apply silicone--then charged me the full $1,500. I also had to prep the area myself and even clean the tub at the end because he didn't want to "mess it up." They also admitted they'd never worked with this type of tub before, which is something I absolutely should have been told upfront. In the end, I paid full price to Clearway, plus the additional cost for the people who actually did most of the work. I felt uncomfortable, pressured, and honestly ripped off.
