Cute spot, reminds me of hawker center. The proprietor is rather kind. Bring cash as they don't accept credit card. Better on a sunny day than a cloudy or rainy day as their abundant outdoor seating. Pad Thai was certainly nice, and it was the first Thai food I've tried since moving to Denver. In order to get five stars from me I would've liked to see a broader assortment of veggies, and perhaps some freshly sliced jalapeño on top to balance out the sweetness of the pad Thai. I do recommend and enjoy supporting small businesses.

This is a small one-man-shack. I almost couldn't find it because it seemed closed, but if you walk up to it, the chef will open up and take your order hahah. For what it was, the food was really tasty! I would definitely stop by again for a quick meal on the go.

The owner was friendly and made the food on the spot very quickly. He also made sure it wasn't spicy since I can't eat spicy lately. That's the reason for the 3 stars. The food was meh and a bit too much fish sauce and tamarind sauce with lime. It was overly salty and didn't have a whole lot of rice noodles. I like the fact that it had a lot of veggies but they were all too salty/sour. I went because everyone said the portions are big and the food is great, but oh boy is that a lie, it's a small portion compared to most Thai restaurants. (I've attached a photo) It's also cash only so do make sure you have enough money or you'll have to find an ATM.

Pricing is now around $12.50, which is still fantastic value for the quality of the food. If you haven't had Liang's yet, definitely must try

We had planned on stopping to eat since reviews were great but I didn't realize the closing time was 7! We were like 3 minutes away so started running to make it there and got here at like 6:59-7. The guy was so nice and was willing to let us do a last minute order. We got the Pad Thai and it was amazing! He mentioned they have a restaurant in Broomfield so anyone who lives close to that or this location is lucky! So good!!!!! P.S. CASH ONLY!

This is a hidden gem in downtown Denver! I was craving a good Thai lunch and came across this place on Yelp. Upon first glance, I must admit I was just a little apprehensive. But Yelp hasn't steered me wrong yet, and this meal was no different! I had the Pad-See-Ewe with tofu and veggies and it was so delicious!! A good sized portion and cooked to order. The gentleman who took my order and made my food was friendly, kind and definitely knows how to cook! The outdoor seating area is super cute. It's cash only, so just run into the Target next door and grab yourself a drink and some bills. I would highly recommend Liang's if you're ever in downtown Denver!

We ended up parking at 16th street mall and not sure what to Do for dinner so we stopped here. This was my favorite Thai restaurant so far in Denver. The cook was super sweet and you cold tell enjoyed cooking. We got a pad Thai my husband daughter and I all shared. There was literally nothing left in the plate. We got it medium spice and honestly could have gotten it spicier but it was delicious. My husband wanted the dumplings so we did those as well and he said they were cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back soon.

This is a small restaurant, not much larger than a typical kiosk, but inside are two gentlemen cooking up a storm. I ordered chicken pad thai, medium spice (3 on a scale of 0 to 5), plus I ordered three orders of pork dumplings. A typical order is 2 dumplings, so I ordered 3 (6 total). I took this back to my hotel (Hyatt Regency). Sat in the comfort of my own room, enjoying my dinner. Not a fancy restaurant, but still pretty cool. Excellent food.

I've come to Liang's a handful of times since my first review and it has easily become one of my favorite spots in Denver. The pad basil and pad Thai are both delicious, authentic, and super satisfying. The gentlemen who run the kiosk are awesome, prices are hard to beat, and food is some of the best Thai around. Just be prepared to wait in line for your fresh, made-to-order Thai dishes!

****CASH ONLY*** The best Thai in denver The flavors are rich, with depth of flavor that my taste buds love. All ingredients are high quality and fresh. Both meals shown are $13 each including tax. I park at target, walk to the left, and it's right there.

I absolutely love Liangs Thai food and the owner is always so friendly. I get the pad Thai with extra beef and an egg and ask for it medium spicy. Every time the flavor is consistent and it tastes so authentic! It's a little cart set up on 16th st mall so there isn't any place to sit is the only downside. However they opened up a location in Broomfield and it's just as great!

The food was absolutely amazing. I usually grab food from their kiosk downtown, and both locations do not disappoint.

Is it still CASH ONLY accepted in August 2025?

    Yes. Cash Only.

Do we know where Liang's stand is today? I haven't seen it in it's usual location.

On the corner of 16th and Welton, in a funny little plaza with turf next to two other food stands!

Do they have gluten free soy sauce and/or options?

Hi today is 3/23/2020. is Liangs open during the COVID-19 restaurant restrictions?

He is gone for a few weeks but before his trip he was open for business.

Are they open for the summer or did they move locations?

He is usually on 16th and Tremont in front of 7-eleven

Are they here today? Thanks in advance!

I want Pork congee or Khao khuk kapi in the rotation menu. Our go to spot when we visited Denver Botanical garden :)

It was not a very generous portion, and the price was high for what they gave me. I stopped in once during lunchtime to see if I could try the other dish and take it to go. But they didn't offer it during lunchtime. They offered one thing that was vegan, it was eggplant. No other vegetables. Just eggplant. That is not a meal. The person working the counter clearly could not care less. I am honestly confused and disappointed that they seem so uninvested in meeting people's needs. So I consider Ginger Pig to be just another heartbreaking potentially delicious new Asian restaurant that doesn't care about those of us who choose not to eat animals.
