We have been coming to Libby's since they opened. They used to have the best fresh poured mimosas. They now pre mix and are straight orange juice. Food is always excellent but will not be back for brunch anymore. Sad to see restaurants make cut backs and not care about quality. read more

Not a big fan of the male bartender working Friday night 7-16-21. Condescending and unprofessional. Rude, and not a welcoming representative of your brand. We went in for the first time for a late snack and glass of wine, loved the atmosphere and the menu looked good- lots of staff working which was so nice to see. We sat at a bar table and were treated like an inconvenience. He even rolled his eyes at my husband when he asked for a glass with his bottled beer. Food not that great - not sure if we will be back. If we do we will be sure to have a different server. read more

We had ordered a takeout meal several weeks ago and the order was missing an item. I called and spoke with the manager, Tony, and he apologized and promised to "make things right". We went in for a late lunch a week later and he made good on his word. Lunch was delicious, service outdoors was very comfortable. Tony comped both our meals. OMG! I am still sitting at my table. I have been here since 6:30 pm and still have not gotten my food. It took over 35 minutes just to get a drink. Our waiter is completely lost and has no clue what is going on. It is my future daughter in laws 21 birthday and it was completely ruined. Awful, awful, awful. So sad. I live right down the road and have had a positive experience in Sarasota but will not be back!! read more

Have been to this restaurant several times now. Food is good. People working there are very friendly and timely. The pretzel appetizer is amazing because of the beer/cheese sauce. And I also absolutely love their fish and chips entree. Brought my parents to this restaurant when they were visiting and they liked it as well. read more

The restaurant was 60% empty at 5:30 on a Thursday. Empty tables everywhere - inside and out. We were told that they could not seat us, because they were completely booked and we would have to wait an hour and a half. When we pointed out the fact that the restaurant was half empty, we were told "yes, but they'll all be coming." Not good! We definitely will make a point of not going back. read more

Looks like they are really disorganized. We were 2 people and we have waited for 40 mins when they said wait for 20 mins. They have preferences cause they sat other people even though they didn't have reservations. Manager and other workers saw us waiting and never noticed us. When it was finally our turn the manager decided to arranged the table for other people. A complete waste of time never back again cause they don't respect their customers. read more

Our first visit to Libby's Lakewood Ranch was memorable for the wrong reasons. While we were seated promptly for our 7:00 reservation, the waiter was very pleasant and the mussels were outstanding, the rest of the evening not so good. What started as a couple seated socially distanced next to us later turned into 6 adults crammed into that same area. Prior to being seated they were standing around "invading" our area. Service was extremely slow - apparently not the fault of the waiter who was attentive to our needs. The rest of the food was good but nothing special. With so many other good places to dine in the area not sure if we will be back to Libby's any time soon. read more

Do you like slow service and undercooked food? Ordered the swordfish and it was not fully cooked. Sent it back and it was eventually corrected and refunded. Steaks were also undercooked. The overall level of service was disappointing. Drinks were slow to come out and not made properly. Had to request water refills and steak knives. Things you would expect to be automatic for a higher end restaurant. There are better dining options in Lakewood Ranch. Hoping this was just an off night but probably won't be back. read more

Lunch at Libby's was an experience I have no desire to repeat. The salad w/Salmon added was disappointingly small (about 2.5 ounces). Tasty but insufficient for a tiny person. The chicken salad sandwich was dripping with mayonnaise, distinctly unappetizing & went uneaten. Service was confrontational at best & generally inattentive. The Manager was unmotivated regarding our dissatisfaction. It was an unpleasant surprise to have 20% added to my single person check. read more

Not really sure could be a good place. Sat for 10 plus minutes at the bar. No one came over went to host desk to ask to get a dining room table as the bar had no service. The manager said it was my fault for sitting there. The host told me the bar was self service and sit where I would like. Hmmm blame the customer. We sat out side and just decided to leave. I came in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. I chose to sit outside. The hostess asked me where I would like to sIt. I was happy that I could choose since it was a little windy that day and wanted to sit in the sun. I was also told that they could move a heater to my table to add extra warmth. I chose to order a cocktail that was shown on the menu and was told by the waitress that if I did not like it, they would make me a new one right away. That is great service, no one wants to feel bad by asking to send a drink back. I ordered the chicken salad, bunless...it was AMAZING!!!!! You get a side salad with it so I was able to combine both to make an actual salad. I paired it with a side of butternut squash purée which was also amazing! The manager, Jarrett, came out to check on my food and my experience, which was greatly appreciated. The food and service was A+, I am definitely going to go back! read more

Avoid!! The staff is not well trained in my opinion. Had a phone order. Called at 4 for a 545 pickup. Waited 10 min because of an excuse "we're busy." Not so much. Portions small. Over priced for this headache. Can do a lot better in my opinion. To bad as likes it last year. Next !! read more

Service was slow. Food took forever to come. Chicken was cold, dry and very chewy. Fries were cold. we also had the salad with chicken. Again Chicken was dry and chewy. Restaurant was filled with smoke from the kitchen. Worst and most expensive chicken salad and chicken sandwich I have had. Not worth the money. read more

Loved my lunch the other day......however, we decided to try happy hour this evening and what a let down. The sticky chicken wings were dry and somewhat burnt and the crab cakes were so small. Really sad because we were looking for a great time out tonight. The bartender said he would let someone know about the wings but never did. i guess we will give it another try at some point but a waste of 30.00 this evening! read more

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Libby's last night. The restaurant recently opened near us although we have eaten at the downtown location. Staff was super friendly and attentive , service was very good, food was also very good. Good wine list if you like wine , prices reasonable. Although recently opened, we really did not notice any kinks in the operation as you might expect so no issues there. We will definitely return, maybe try lunch next . The lunch menu did not look dramatically different from the dinner menu so no worries there. read more

Went on a Wednesday evening recently and it was not super busy. The ambiance is very nice and our food was good, nice variety of small plates, salads entrees etc. My disappointment was with the inconsistency with service. We ordered cocktails and appetizers first. Our appetizers arrived before our drinks, and we were never given bread while other tables around us were. When our entrees arrived we ordered wine. Went here the other night with another couple who are local to Sarasota FL. Nice decor but that's the most I can give it! Food looked good but almost every dish came out cold or barely warm. I had cheese grits that was a lump of grits that was cold and tasteless. I had octopus which had no real flavor off the grill. My wife had ribs that were plentiful but barely warm. I was given a dish of vegetables in place of the grits which came out cold and tasteless. I would not go here again. It's unlikely this establishment will be in business very long! read more

Ordered the octopus thru bite squad. It was awful, over cooked and like rubber! Ive had octopus many times before, its tender and sweet when done right. Also, i ordered a side of coleslaw and got fries! No attn to detail in the cooking or packing the order. read more
