My 16 year old took his dirt bike into Hicklin Power Sports in Grimes to see if they could do some…read morediagnostics on it to see why it wouldn't start. He asked them not to take the bike apart unless they were able to put it back together as part of the diagnostic work. When he went to pick his bike up, the entire motor had been removed and was in parts (the main parts were in a box and then there were 4 large bags of bolts and other small parts also). Hicklin charged him $500 for the diagnostic work and then said it would be another $4000 to put the bike back together. As a result his bike has been sitting unusable in the garage for several months. Hicklin Power Sports completely took advantage of a child and put him in a position where he would be forced to pay $4500 to fix his bike, unless he knew how to fix it himself.

I dropped it off at 10:00am and they called me at 2:30Pm and said they had fixed the problem, and I could come pick it up. Everyone was so helpful and polite. THEN proceeds to tell me that the specific part they "need", that they've been waiting for, is discontinued yet Eric's (another power sports shop 10x better) tells me they can get it in TWO DAYS! Every time I called they said "we'll call you back" and each and every time they never called back and proceeded to pretend they didn't know who I was. I went in for an oil leak, and ended up with it still leaking. I had to pay for the extra things that I didn't know they were even putting on. Do not trust this business.

Asking background about it which he has none. I managed to get the bike cost down to 4100 on Wednesday (today is Thursday )plus sales tax. He told me the total (the owner Larry hauber) which was 4387. After some back in forth I agreed to his price and told him same day I would be making a 5 hour trip to his dealership to get the bike. He ignore me. The following morning; meaning today. I had my girlfriend call the dealer ship and spoke to Julian to ahold on the Honda and I headed in that direction. Half why into my 5 hour commute. I contacted Larry and told him I would arrive n a few hours after he ignored me for almost 24 hours he responded n 30 seconds and said "sorry it sold yesterday" I replied that I spoke to Julian and he told me not only the bike is there, but he will place a hold on it. He said he will speak with his salesmen n get back to me. Once I made the 5 hour drive only then was I told that the price given was no longer available and the new price was around 4700 out the door making it 300 dollars more. The owner lied to me twice. Went back and inspected and sure enough where the old motor was there was a crack in the aluminum and the core was pretty messed up. Needles to say the boat was shot. It was a 1990 we had bought in January and never knew how bad it was. Brandon felt really bad about giving me the news, but I appreciated the honesty. With that said we decided to purchase new and Brandon took the time to get us the boat we wanted. To top it off they transferred my graphs, trolling motor, 10 gallons of fuel I just purchased, Bimini top and heading sensor. Got a great deal on the boat!!!
