I have a car loan thru TFS. No problems so far, I will write updates if something arises. I bought a 2020 Tacoma during the Covid-19 SIP. I work in essential services, so I don't shelter in place. I needed a vehicle, and went to the nearest dealer. I asked for a car loan with 0% financing, and after a few minutes, I got it! Smooth transaction, no problems. The worst customer service experience of my life. The right hand doesn't talk to the left. The reps have zero accountability. Have been working on a transfer of title on my Rav 4 for over 6 months now. Originally, they tell me I don't need a corporate resolution doc. After I send in my packet they tell me that i do and can sign it myself. After I send that in they tell me I need another signature from a co-worker. The tax returns I sent to support the docs were never found the first time despite me providing the Fedex #. Once they received those the second time around they told me they needed a new application which was correct just a month prior. Every time you call it's a different person and you have to start from scratch. Terrible customer service. Will likely move all future business from Toyota to Ford or Honda. read more

I only wish I could give negative stars.  If you have a choice about what vehicle to buy, rent, or lease don't make it a Toyota. The 2018 Highlander had a defect which allowed the passenger cabin to flood with water.   It is a known problem as the Bill Kidd svc advisor diagnosed my problem before seeing the vehicle.   I spoke non-masked with a Parts & Svc Dir who indicated told me to file a claim with my ins co.   It only costs about $4 k to replace carpet. I Toyota Financial Svcs is a horrible.   It took 7 calls to get through to someone.   The 1st 5 call the automated system hung up on me.  The 6 time customer service rep #0f1W gave me the number to Glen Bernie MVA as someone to call about mileage owed to me. read more

Only had one late payment but due to a co-sign with another company my credit went to shit. I was trying to fix it and I figured every bit helps, car is paid off, maybe they would do me a solid and take the one late payment off. They wouldn't. Toyota financial services is a joke. It deserves negative stars. Do not ever lease from Toyota financial services. I returned my 2014 Avalon March 6, 2018 and requested a refund on my unused service agreement. Run around after run around and letter after letter I still three months later have not received my 1,500 refund. I was told twice now two weeks apart that my lease is still not canceled. I returned the Avalon more than three months ago. Still I am told by Toyota financial services I need to call back. I asked when do I call back and the man named Jake said I don't know just call back. I said to Jake that what I was told last week. I repeat never lease a Toyota through Toyota financial service and do not buy an extended service agreement. You will be sorry you did. Charlie M. Turned my rav4 into the Wallingford Toyota dealer 3 months early on the lease. Waiting for the invoice on the balance for 6 months. After the first month Toyota financial "collections department" harassed me. I told them I don't own car I turned it into the dealer. I am happy to pay the balance but they will not give me the bill. Then the state property tax is crewed up. I had to show the town the canceled registration. Wasted my time contacting Toyota Financial every 2 weeks for 5 months asking to pay. Emailed Toyota Financial "Truste" for support with no response. Contacted the dealer who tried to help but gave up after a couple of weeks. The lack of performance is clearly caused by a combination of poor systems and incompetent people who are uncooperative. This is Toyota 's finance company to use for lease or purchase of your vehicle..Don't deserve even 1 star but no stars option not offered. I financed 2 car leases with them. Since my payments were on auto deduct from my pay, my payments for both were all paid on time. Hence my credit with them excellent. What went wrong? I get a call from the collection wing of their company claiming I hadn't paid a bill for $1,500 I owed them. I told them his call was first I hear about it. After many calls and finally receiving a copy of 7 month old Bill, it was determined they had been mailing Bill to my name but using Toyota dealers mailing address. Hence, I never saw nor knew about the bill. I explained to Toyota financial that I never got a bill nor did I get a call until the collection call. I had no problem paying the bill but have a huge problem with them hurting my credit when I always paid on time. They sent excess mileage bill to the dealer not to me. The dealer never forwarded nor did they contact me about the bill. Toyota financial used the info from motor vehicles rather than from my acct with them to determine a billing address. Of course by then the car ownership had transferred to the dealer hence the bill going to them. I have tried to explain all this to Toyota financial in order to ensure no credit damage to me. All I get is " we transferred to credit collection so they can't help or discuss matter with me. I have leased 2 Toyota and bought a truck from Toyota. Deserve better treatment. Use a credit union or some other finance option. I wouldn't use them nor would I suggest you use them. Go where service is more personal. read more

This is a tough one for me to write in as I love my wives car, have had no problems with TFS until the end--------------THE TITLE Paid the car off a bit early, sent them the payoff and waited, and waited, and waited. No title. Purchased the cashiers check on the Dec 28th, they received it the 6th and claim they sent the title the 14th Today is Jan 22nd 2019. We are supposed to call them again on Jan 29th?? Because they are too cheap to put tracking on their documents??? Now are you ready for these facts? After 5 phone calls involving 3 hours of time I found out the following; No one apparently knows where the title is kept or mailed from. They do not put tracking on their titles they mail with the USPS. We were told the title was our problem and they would only send a lien release for the title upon our request. They require 10 working days after their mailing before they will apply for a lost title send a lien release or address the problem. They will not address the problem until we call them again. read more

These other reviews are from some people who can't make their payment on time and live up to the contract they signed. I have not only worked for Toyota, but I have financed 3 cars with them and each time has been a pleasant experience. The phone operators are based in the USA and besides a few security questions that seem repetitive, they always take care of any issue I may have with ease. There have been times when I was laid off, they have helped me with a few extensions and that was a huge life saver. Even during Hurricane Harvey, I was out of work due to the road conditions and granted me extensions then as well because I didn't have a paycheck. Overall I have never missed a payment and they treat me like Gold. I really can't say enough good things about this company. Buy a Toyota or buy from a used car of any make or model from a Toyota dealership and try to go with TFS. I have played games with Capital One and it's simply not worth it. After numerous calls with Toyota, I was lied to and told each time that our problem was "resolved" & "taken care of". When in fact the representative(s) didn't even have the power to do so. We purchased a car and set up autopay in December 2014. Never late on a payment until May 2018. This year, my Son's wallet was stolen. He had to close his bank account form which the autopay was drawn each month and open a new one. It was represented to me on the phone on with a Toyota agent that Toyota will tell a person it's resolved the issue when in fact some representatives don't have the power to resolve or even set up the auto pay. This is unacceptable! I was also told on my phone conversation as a follow up to a ticket request that after four attempts to reach into an account Toyota is denied, that account is frozen for one year. This was never explained to us during the multiple attempts to get the issue resolved with Toyota, until after a late notice. If the client account is frozen, Toyota's four attempts are complete the client has no idea. Why we were told so many times it was "resolved" when in deed it couldn't have been under those circumstances. Once they finally told us the correct way to reinstate, it was. The account should not have been in default. Toyota is looking into it. Very poor customer service and deceitful way of doing business. read more
