If there are NO stars this business needs it. This is a misleading advertised property that is literally a PARKING LOT in Jersey that you feel unsafe in. For over $100, they have to be smoking crack. I spoke to the manager in the front (waste of time as she looked like the site) Listen RV people, Campers etc don't mind paying for a space but, cow have something better. Check these pictures for those that don't see! DO NOT COME HERE EVER!!! Disgusting

First, I understand this is URBAN camping and not out in the woods - I get that. Still no excuse for the BS we went through on our 2 nights there. The campground is the most compact I have ever been to. I was not able to put out my outdoor carper - had to put over half of it under the rig. It was Columbus Day Weekend and so we were charged 'Holiday' rates of over $100 a day with tax. The only thing is no one told the neighbors there was a holiday. The adjoining construction site was in full swing before 7:00 a.m. - Cranes, Cement Tucks, Jack Hammers and who knows what else they use to build a new high rise over our heads. No one told all of the commuters who started filling up the adjoining park and ride parking lot(for the ferry), on the other side of the postage stamp "RV Park' that it was a holiday - to be honest, not sure who made more noise or was more disturbing. But that's not the worst of it - the security was awful. When you check in, they give you this very expensive full color presentation folder with lots of tourist info in and on it, including a business card for the "24 hour" security card, that has a Cell Number printed on it. When we came back to the site the first night, the security booth was manned - but that was the last time I ever saw any one there. Long story short, there were 4 RV's parked around me who were traveling together - they must have been out late, because there campground party didn't start until after 1:00 a.m. - right under the pop-out of my bedroom. Before getting anyone else involved, I went out and asked them to take the party inside - they refused and the conversation continued to sound like it was in my bedroom, - So, now, I call the Cell Phone - and no one answers and the VM is full - WORTHLESS.. Wanting some satisfaction, I left a VM at the main number of the campground - I thought, just MAYBE someone with a sense of customer service would have called and apologized - thinking they at least thought this was a high end establishment (as their rates suggest) - NOT. There is not any sewer hookups - but there is a very nasty dump station where water peculates out of the ground - ugggh. There is no cable TV and all we could pick up off the air was 7 channels - no networks and nothing very interesting either. Yes, I suppose their claim to being the closest RV park to NYC is true - and I'm sure the land is extremely valuable - but come on - this pace is a ghetto and should be avoided.

5-monute walk away - great view!

The good: The main thing going for this park is the location. I felt fairly secure for being such an urban location. The Bad: Bathrooms: had no AC. 90 degree day. Smelled like cat pee. Only one (of 4) stalls had toilet paper. Gaping holes in ceiling. Electric Hookup: Only had 97volts at outlet (in corner of campground), even at night, so using the AC in the trailer was not an option. No easy way for a later check-out. Can pay $40 (and move to a "dry" lot that day. But can't arrange for it in advance. Must do it day-of, but the office does not open until 9am. If you need to leave before that, but need to leave the trailer, you are SOL. Surf City: I went there at 4pm and a bouncer checked my ID (I'm 43). Gives you a flavor for the kind of place it is... WiFi: Barely functional. All this being said, I really did like the novelty of camping within sight of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan. Within a 5-minute walk, there were fabulous views of Manhattan, and there were some great restaurants. within a quick walk.

BUYER BEWARE: Paid $20 for them to come dump our tanks and this was the result. Was accused of lying about when I took the photo. Unreal.

I was hoping to stay there again but it looks like they don't rent the shipping containers anymore?) This place completely lived up to my expectations. My container #9 was immaculate, with a small fridge, record player, microwave, pod-coffee maker, sink, and full bathroom with standup shower. The shower was a little small, be careful of accidentally hitting the water handle because you might make the water too hot, but it was amazing how good the shower was otherwise! Nice, hot water, good pressure. Also, the AC/Heat worked great. The view was spectacular. I let Dennis (his name was on a sign to call if problems) know that the curtain rod had come down because the end of it was missing, but I was able to put it back up. When I called, he answered right away, and he was very appreciative of the call. It's next to the Skyline drive in theater, so you can watch the movies that are playing, and also it made it easy for them to allow for free parking. Free parking in NY!! It felt safe, and I experienced no issues leaving my car overnight for 2 days. There's a door with code that you have to punch in to get into the area with all the pods/containers. And then a separate code to get into your specific container (not sure about the pods). I could not get over the views. I was staying in a hostel in Manhattan the night before for the same price which was TINY and overlooked an alley with a bunch of condensers. This glamping was so much better, and I couldn't stop looking at the views! Each container has a little sitting area, and mine was the first of them, so there were people sitting outside my container on my second night, which I didn't mind since I was already in bed but they were right under my window, so I could hear them until they left. Maybe a little fence separating the first container's sitting area from the general area would be helpful. I would definitely come back to this place. Especially want to come back with my partner, as the views are super romantic :) Also, it was in Greenpoint, which is fantastically located, tons of great restaurants (go to Oxomoco if you can, amazing food!!!).

The campground is on three levels, with nice large lots with a fire ring and picnic table. Wifi and cable is included. The wifi connection was pretty fast, especially for a campground. The bathrooms and individual private showers are nice and clean. I did use the laundry, which was very nice, but very pricey! $2.50 to wash and $2.00 to dry. But this is New York, so I wasn't all that surprised. The Pavilion on the upper level was staffed for most of each day, and there were all kinds of activities which the kids adored. At the time we were there, our girls were the only kids in the park, and they got lots of personal attention. They made several crafts, played putt putt golf, and went on a nature hike. Even though it was pretty cool they swam in the heated pool both days (it's kept at about 82 degrees). The playground is very nice for younger kids. We were sorry that we were leaving before the holiday weekend, because there were lots of things going on for families. The staff was also helpful to us, providing us with written directions to nearby grocery stores and pharmacies, as well as directions on how to take the train into the city, which we were also able to do. The price was higher than we usually pay to camp, but the location and amenities made it worth the extra cost. We are already talking about coming back next year! Another thing that was nice about this park was that they gave me the name of a pet sitter who comes to the park, so that we could have care for our dog while we went to the city. I have never seen this at any other campground, and I really appreciated it.
