Her patience and kindness truly stood out, and I will definitely be returning because of her. The pricing is on the higher end. I originally planned on getting a design but chose a plain color to keep the cost lower. I paid $120 total for a Gel-X manicure and gel pedicure, excluding tip. I got a gel manicure at Liberty Nails & Spa almost 2 weeks ago now. It hurt a bit when she was cutting my cuticles, but I didn't think much of it. Shortly after, it turned into an infection. I used Neosporin and did all the things including soaking it in warm water with Epsom salt, but it just kept getting worse. It spread and turned into a really bad infection. I went to the doctor twice and I'm on antibiotics. It has been such an ordeal. In all my years of getting my nails done, I have never had this happen before. I wanted to like this place as it's close to my work and convenient being in Liberty Station, but I unfortunately got an infection (requiring antibiotics) on my big toe less than 12 hours after leaving. The tech (I believe her name was Holly) was very aggressive on my cuticles during my pedicure and I realized afterwards that some of the red on the edges of my toes was blood rather than my red polish. I hadn't had a pedicure in a few months so I figured my feet just needed some extra clipping/work, but I woke up the next morning with my big toe extremely swollen and painfully pulsing. My dip manicure came out nice, but it was also a process - as the tech nicked my fingers a few times causing them to bleed - and overall took a bit too long for just a regular dip mani... almost 2 hours. When I asked for a refund on the pedicure, after seeing my infection this morning, they offered me 10% off my next pedicure lol. I will not be returning. read more

They had the audacity to charge $60 for a fill of builder gel (starting is $55) and never rebalanced the nail or build the apex! They were sloppy and uneven with a dip and I had to tell the tech to even them all out. I had a cracked middle finger and I told her and she just applied a coat of builder gel to fix it and it cracked again. They even had the nerve to charge $15 for deep V French! Starting is $6 but they said it's because they used gel color. That is the most stupid reason why when the rest of the nail is already gel! I made them lower the price. My nails came out hideous! Sloppy, uneven, dips, didn't even last a week my nail broke again. Also the little girl receptionist needs to check her attitude and put some clothes on. Super rude. One of the disapointments when poorly managed local businesses manage to drive away customers by their own inept decision making. I have been here about 4 times, and my husband too. Nothing remarkable, but an odd off putting lack of customer service. Two examples, they set a timer during the service which is the opposite of relaxation, it is unclear what this timer is for, but it is definately not inviting. Next, I asked to not apply polish for a pedicure, and in stead, just buff, they literally wanted to charge me extra, where, taking the effort to buffa nail is considerably less effort than polishing them, again, poor service. The last poor business practice has caused me to walk away for good. I made an online appointment first appointment in the morning. A basic manicure, $23.00. I went and organized $35.00 cash, to include the $12.00 cash tip as I tip well for personal services. I then get a call to my cell phone with a message that they wantme to cancel my appoitment and either walk in or call them in advance as my service is BASIC and they dont take appointments for SUCH A SMALL SERVICE. WTAF? I am a lisenced professional and would never treat a paying client with such blatant lack of care. Do yourself, your valuable time and your hard earned bank account a service, and take yours, your families, your friends and your neighbors SMALL SERVICE needs elsewhere. This was my experience- I showed the receptionist the picture of the design I wanted. My fiancé paid for the nails in advance which was $70. When the nail tech was about to finish my nails I noticed she was going to paint all nails yellow. I asked her if she needed the picture of the design, thinking she probably forgot. Then she asked "what design?" I told her I showed the front girl the design I wanted. She then called her over and she then told me "oh I thought you wanted the color only" I told her no and that's why I showed her the picture of the design. It could've been a misunderstanding but I felt it was pretty obvious especially since I showed her a picture with a design. The nail tech continued doing my nails after talking to another nail tech about how to do the design. She then asked me to pick colors for the design which I was not sure why I had to pick colors if she had the picture. The receptionist then came and told me my fiancé had to be charged extra since I did not tell them I wanted a design. She said that they would just charge him from their end the extra $15. Once the nail tech was done I saw the design and I was in disbelief how my nails ended up looking. Nothing compared to the picture I showed them. I've been getting my nails done for a few years now, so I understand the design will not be 100% accurate. But I felt like this was done by someone who has never done a flower design before. Maybe the nail tech was not comfortable with doing the design but in that case I would've preferred for her to say that then being left with that I got. This was not worth $85.
