Shepherd's Setter Shepherd's Pie Entree

Ive been to Irish pubs all over the world and this one is the worst! I sat down and had to beg the bartender to clean the bar after the previous party left. Then I was served two different draft beers, at a warm temperature in plastic cups! I ordered the shepherds pie and it came in a to go container with plastic utensils! The dish was basically hamburger and mashed potatoes which resembled dog food -see picture. They also charged me a cover for a band outside that I never heard from the inside of the bar.

I left the Guinness. Did not taste good. Wrong glass. Unsightly, messy cabinet.

Uhg! Wrong glass for Guinness. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Messy bar and cabinet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]No Irish music playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My Guinness pour did not taste good and was served in a Miller Lite lager glass. The flavor made me wonder about the cleanliness of the lines. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wanted to like it here but was very run down and unwelcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It could have been the time of day (5:00 ish?) On a Friday. Idk. I caught a glimpse of the cook come out of the kitchen dressed in a very dirty uniform. Very extensive menu for a Irish pub. I did not order food. Sorry guys, Not impressed.

O'Toole's is a fun spot out in Brandon. When you step into O'Toole's, you certainly feel like you've entered into a rustic Irish pub. I went for lunch right when they opened, but I can imagine this spot being packed on a fun Friday night. The waitress we had was wonderful; super kind and attentive! I had the Shepherd's Pie which was filling and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were delicious and the beef stew filling was perfectly seasoned. This is a great place for comfort food on a rainy day! Would certainly recommend for a casual dining experience.

Absolutely love this place!! Stopped in here after a long day of packing and couldn't have been more impressed. It's definitely a little old place. It looks like it's seen a lot of fun evenings. however, . I loved their potato skins and their pork shanks and chili was great!! Our server was absolutely delightful. Super efficient and gave great recommendations. Definitely will be back.

Great place to spend St Patty's Day! The food and music were the best! May your highs be high and your lows be little and my life lead you somewhere in the middle!!

We went to O Tooles with the intention of having a small dinner and some drinks and eating up staying out till closing time. We were helped by Erin who was so lovely and on the ball. She preemptively brought things to our table, which saved time and made service seamless. We will definitely be back to see her! This place is fun and lively. The live music was so much fun and the bar got pretty busy, both inside and outside later at night. The mild buffalo wings were delicious and my fiancé enjoyed his Dublin Duo meal tremendously. Nice portions which are reasonably priced! The crowd was gregarious and sociable, fun crowd to be around!!! We are so glad to have found this neighborhood bar.

We stopped by on a Friday not on a cool evening. We enjoyed sitting outside listening to some live music. It was a bit loud so we sat in the back. Our waitress was very attentive a kept our drinks full. We ordered jalapeño poppers, sampler appetizer and some cheese curds. The poppers were my favorite. The sampler platter was ok but nothing spectacular. The cheese curds were also ok. We enjoyed some Killians Red and Genius with our food. We ventured inside to play darts ( free darts at the bar to use). We laughed and had a great time while we enjoyed an Irish Mule. The restaurant is not fancy but a fun place for drinks and darts. They have two sets of restrooms, again nothing fancy but clean. We will be back.

I'm hoping this place is smoke free but it is a pub. Does anybody know?

There's plenty of seating throughout without it feeling crowded or like you're sitting on top of the table next to you. Their brunch prix menu is awesome - highly, highly recommend going for brunch and trying this menu because not only are the food options on there fantastic, but it's a great value. We all ordered different items so we could share and try a little bit of everything, and there wasn't a single bad thing on the menu, the patatas bravas, potato tortilla, and croquetas were all really yummy starters and you can't go wrong with any of them. The bulla burger, bulla Benedict, and braised pork hash were also all really great - I love breakfast foods, so the Benedict was my favorite personally and the crispy chorizo bits were really good. The desserts were my least favorite probably - the churros were good, they're basic churros. The dessert empanadas I didn't care for too much, I think the truffle honey was too much for me and it was hard to taste the quince or cream cheese. Our service was also phenomenal - Bambi was very friendly and had a great attitude! Would def recommend Bulla for a good brunch date spot.

This time around we got the Huevos Bulla, which was relatively hearty with the salty ham and gooey egg, with the potato chips providing a lot of crunchy texture to the dish. We also got the Grilled Steak, which was a new dish for me to try. This is probably going to be one of my favorite dishes from now on. The steak was tender and the truffle foam was to die for (even after the meat was gone i was eating that sauce up, no leftovers). Another new try for me was the seasonal Lamb Cannelloni. The lamb was gamey and the wrapping was soft. The sauce it came with definitely helped enhance the flavor; without the sauce it was just okay. I order the Kalimotxo drink, which, with the cola and lemon, helped brighten up the wine-forward drink.

For my drink, I took the chocolate old fashioned (13 dollars). It was strong enough and chocolatly to enjoy. For my main plate, I chose the chicken wings (10 for 17 dollars), half fat rabbit sauce (quite garlicky) and other half siracha. While the wings were not breaded, they were still fried. It was definitely crispy, but still meaty and tender. The sauces were flavorful, and the siracha had the right amount of heat. The ranch dressing was homemade and so good, I ended up drinking it. There could have been more celery, but it was fresh and crispy. They only had one dessert, and unfortunately it wasn't homemade, so I passed. My bartender was friendly, but busy. She had a helper, but lots of patrons to serve. Yet, she was still very nice and helpful when needed. The vibe is social and casual. I would have thought they would have more USF students, but mostly locals who are enjoying a good atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available as well, and it looks like you can bring your pooch too. When it was time to check out and pay, I noticed they forgot to charge me for my drink. When I mentioned that, they told me not to worry about it. It was a very nice gesture from them. Parking here is easy as it is located in the Publix complex. There is also a Don Julio's and Bundt Cakes nearby for dessert too. The Fat Rabbit pub provides great casual bar food in a social atmosphere. The indoor dining is large enough to feel comfortable, and outdoor seating is also there if you want to enjoy with your dog. I am glad I chose this place again as it was near my hotel. Definitely coming back for more great bar food at reasonable prices. Overall: A

We sat at the bar so we were able to see the cooking in action. While our server was amazing, the chefs even turned aroung to ask our feedback if we liked their food. I enjoyed sipping on it throughout the meal, and it was the perfect drink to warm me up. For food, we ordered the golden beet salad, the black bean sauce mushrooms, yakitori, sea bass collar, and the lamb vindaloo pappardelle. We also ordered the olive oil cake for our dessert. My ranking - yakitori: divine! the use of the jammy egg yolk as a sauce was creative and well-executed. The chicken was also expertly grilled and juicy. Even the lemon with the seasoning added great acidity and spice to the dish. loved it! - sea bass collar: this was delicious and a fun experience. We really appreciated we could eat with our hands, and the wet towelette to clean our hands after we were done. I love a nuoc cham sauce, and it goes great with fried fish. I thought also four pieces of collar was a sizeable portion to split with two people. - olive oil cake: scrumptious and light yet so satisfying, definitely hit our dessert crave. No notes. - golden beets: the beets are nice and sweet, followed by the gooseberries in here which add a tartness, but the ricotta mellows out the flavors and adds richness and creaminess. The bread for dipping is also quite nice. - pappardelle: wish this was a bit more saucey as the noodles were quite thick and layered. The spices of vindaloo were there, but the flavors didn't penetrate through to the pappardelle noodles. - mushrooms: my friend really liked this dish, so it's all personal preference of course. I thought the black bean sauce was a bit glued to the bottom, almost too pastey. It didn't incorporate with all of the mushrooms, so the ones at the top didn't have as much flavor as those on the bottom. I think the paste could have used some loosening with some liquid, although that might forgo some of the mushroom crispiness. Towards the end, the sauce was just too overpowering so I couldn't find myself reaching for it. Service was wonderful. We were checked on multiple times, and when we got up to go to the restroom, the staff would come over and fold our napkins back on the table for us. I found prices to be super reasonable for what we got. A must-go if you're in the tampa area!
