It's been many years since I've been to this location, and I left tonight's dinner pleasantly surprised. I was surprised because I enjoyed the food. I was surprised because, in my opinion, the food was high quality and reasonably priced. The parking lot was packed when we arrived at 6:15 p.m. for our 6:30 p.m. reservation for six. We we're happily greeted by the hostess and sat immediately, zero wait time. The interior is cozy, not very big, but they do not have the tables close together, so you do not feel like you're being packed in on top of the other customers. All entrées come with their salad bar. For me, it's been many years since I've been to a restaurant that had what I consider a "classic 80's/90's" salad bar. True to the description on their menu, every on the salad bar was fresh. The lettuce was crunchy and firm, and there were many of the classic toppings such as whole hard-boiled eggs, beets, chopped olives, pasta salad, potatoe salad, and more. Five out or party of 6 ordered drinks from the bar prior to selecting our entrées. We had a total of 4 steaks, 1 order of pork chops, and 1 order of Bar-B-Q ribs. I ordered a 16oz Ribeye medium temperature, Oscar Style. I enjoyed every bite, my steak was cooked perfectly, the Crab meat was plentiful and fresh, and the hollandaise sauce was tasty. Everyone else told me they were very satisfied with their meals, no complaints just complements about their dinners. I ordered cheesecake and one of their specialty coffees for dessert. Others at my table ordered peanut butter pie and creme brule. My cheesecake was not homemade. I could tell it was from a box by they way it was cut, the taste, and the texture. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order it again. I got favorable reviews about the other dessert orders and those of us that ordered coffee we were satisfied. Our waiter was professional and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. He wasn't overly friendly or talkative, but for me, that's not a necessity. As I said earlier, we were sat at 6:15 p.m. and our meal was concluded at 8:30 p.m. I was happy about the total length of our dining experience because it was a night out with old friends, and he had ample time to talk. I recommend a reservation if you are planning on experiencing the Library IV. I hope you enjoy yourself as much as I and my friends did.

Came in for dinner on Saturday evening. We made a last minute reservation for 4 without a problem. We were seated immediately upon entering and our server Eileen was so nice and prompt. Our glasses were never empty and she was quick to take our orders. We all had entrees which included the salad bar. This was definitely the best salad bar I've seen in a while. They have a ton of toppings available and several varieties of bread. The macaroni salad was so good. It wasn't too wet and had all of the basic macaroni salad ingredients you'd typically expect. I had the 12oz NY strip steak medium rare with a baked potato. The steak was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The baked potato, unfortunately, was so dry and miserable. The butter, salt, or sour cream couldn't save it. My friend had the king crab legs that were on special that night and said they were ok, but definitely not the best she's had. She thought they were a little overcooked. Her husband had the extra cut of prime rib and garlic mashed potatoes. He also said it was pretty good, but not amazing. The ambiance of the restaurant is appeasing, for sure. It's relaxed with dim lighting and stained glass lamps and hanging fixtures. There are bookshelves throughout and old wooden floors.

I have loved the Library since I was a little girl. My aunt used to take me here and I thought we were rich selecting top cuts of beef and lobster. The good news is not much has changed and the bad news is.... Not much has changed. I love the nostalgic feel but in a restaurant it begins to feel old, dank, dingy, musty, etc. its giving Addams family vibes. They need to update the location without losing its essence. Like dust the bookshelves and books. Aside from that, the selection of your proteins is gone and that was a big part of the experience. Now that the disappointment is out of the way, lets get to what's important. Food! The food was delicious my lobster and steak were prepared beautifully. My husbands fish was delicate and flaky. We enjoyed the meal and we loved the salad bar that was included. We celebrated our anniversary here and went home happily in love .

We got a seafood boil combo to share that had 1 Lb snow crab, 1LB black mussels and 1LB shrimp. I paid $3 extra for head off. Only for the conscience of peeling them because they are deveined. The head on shrimp actually add a lot of flavor. We got the Old bay garlic butter. I also ordered an order of garlic bread for dipping. This place is located in a strip mall and my lady was super skeptical, but it was really good! I would have preferred more crab because it was about 3 clusters. That's 1.5 Crabs. Overall it was so good and I was super full when we left. I was so full that we left 1/4 shrimp and mussels . I will go back clean and I will get extra crab next time. The total for Crab boil combo, 1 Coke (bottled) and an order of Garlic Bread was $70.

I love trying new restaurants and have had this place on my radar for a while…read more We decided on a whim to try them on a Saturday night in the summer. We got right in with no wait. There was live music in the main dining room consisting of one singer singing Latin music. We were each given a tablet with the menu, which was pretty awesome. It took us a long time to decide what we wanted because we were enthralled by the extensive menu with all of the photos on the tablet. I decided to order a cocktail and my husband got the horchata while my mom got an unsweetened iced tea. They have a full bar with a ton of specialty drinks. My drink arrived with flower petals adorned to the side of the glass. We also received complimentary chips with salsa and salsa verde. As an appetizer we decided to do the taquitos. I love taquitos so I was excited, and the presentation was great. However when we bit into them we noticed they were just pieces of chicken breast rolled in tortillas and fried. No seasoning. No cheese, nothing mixed in. I was surprised. The taquitos I've had in the past are made with shredded chicken and potatoes with cheese. These were lacking flavor and dry. I wanted to love them so much but I just couldn't. For our entrees, I did the chimichanga mixto which was a chicken and beef chimichanga. They were on the smaller side but plenty for one person. The filling was mixed with salsa but again felt bland. They were serviced with a side of rice. My mom got the pina loka, which was grilled shrimp, chicken, and steak with onions and peppers inside a pineapple. Hers was very good. My husband got the La Jeño mix which had chicken shrimp and steak with cheese sauce, rice, and veggies. The flavor of his was pretty good as well. We skipped dessert, but the menu was extensive with all your Mexican favorites plus items like chicken parm. They also have a full breakfast menu. The music was very loud for the small dining area if you wanted to have a conversation, but the singer was doing his thing. We made sure to tip him on our way out. The servers checked on us frequently and service overall was good, I just wish the food wowed us more because I so wanted this to be our new fave.

For an appetizer we both had Jumbo lump crab cocktail (Fantastic). They brought out house salads and Bread with peppers. My wife had Chicken parm over capellini (very good gravy) and I had Seafood Tortellini (Crab, Shrimp and Asparagus). The portions were generous and the taste was amazing. For dessert, my wife had cinnamon roll churros with Vanilla ice cream and I had a Spumoni Bomba. We really love this place and can't wait to come back. The only thing that could be an issue is that the restaurant is small. We went on a Thursday around 4pm and were able to get a seat however I can see weekend nights may be an issue.
